2 Caring Conversations... The Holy Spirit moves through each of us in unique and amazing ways. Many of us here at Good Shepherd have a heart for welcoming others in; others are gi ed with preparing tasty meals; some confidently read the lessons during worship each Sunday; a trusted group is blessed with things mechanical and with great amounts of elbow grease; and the list goes on. A significant component of Vibrant Faith is inten onal service, which happens in worship, at home, at work, in fellowship here at Good Shepherd, etc. This congrega on excels at serving in and outside of the worship life of Good Shepherd. That being said, this week we would like to take the opportunity to thank the Lectors for all their service of reading scripture each Sunday. They are called to read the scripture lessons each week just as those early apostles were sent out to share God s Word. What a wonderful way to serve! Thank you! We praise God that the Holy Spirit con nues to work through us as we grow in Vibrant Faith together in worship, at work, in the neighborhood, and at home. 2 Sisters and brothers in Christ: I am taking the place of two beau fully wri en, gentle invita ons, just for a week or tw0. You serve faithfully with and out in our community. In order for worship here to be the hospitality of Christ we need a li le help. What our ushers do is hospitality. They can train you quickly and do a good job of it. God is extending an invita on to y all to help out a li le at the 10:45 worship. Just sign up to be an alternate usher, give it a try, and do this beau ful, simple thing. All ages are invited, even li le ones with their families. You are literally the welcoming arms of God as you smile and help people manage to worship. Same goes for 8:15 greeters. Gazillions of studies have shown that these ministries either make folks want to come back, or never come back. Y all are good at this! Talk to Bill or Brenda Hake, any usher, Ted, or me. Pray about it. If God says NO then NO is OK. But, if God says YES then Christ s love, Pastor WE PRAY! Together this morning & at home pray for: Ill Marsha Alvey, Shirley & Russ Chris an, Margaret Kozemski, April Muehlberg, Duane Nelson, Maggie Stuckey, Sco Wright. Recovering/Healing Melba Bokelman, Be y Corirossi, Stephen Craig, Brenda Hake, Lou & Charles Hale, Jeane e Hart, Arlene Hunt, Mary Johnson, Bill & Pat Jones, Kreppert family, Richard Mitchler, Karen Muehlberg, Morella Owens, Walt & Ruth Runge, Larry Sipe, Carla Standley, Ollie & Nancy Standley, Nonie Stuckey, Jan Templeton, Juanita Tindle.
