O most merciful Redeemer, Friend, and Brother, may we know thee more clearly, love thee more dearly, and follow thee more nearly, now and for evermore. Processional Hymn 128 The royal banners forward go Walton Bidding Prayer Beloved in Christ, we are met together to remember the Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ. We shall hear in Holy Scripture how costly was the sacrifice Christ made on Calvary hill for the sake of truth he bore universal reproach, far worse to bear than violence; for this was all his care, like Abraham before him, to stand approved in His Father s sight though the world judge him perverse. But first let us pray for the Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church which he came to establish. Let us pray for the mission of the Church throughout the world that it may give faithful witness to the truth of the Gospel. And especially let us pray for ourselves and for this our parish that we may respond in heart and mind to the same Holy Gospel.

2 Let us pray for peace in the world that a spirit of respect and reconciliation may grow among peoples everywhere. Let us pray for the poor, the persecuted, the sick, and afflicted; for refugees, prisoners, and all who risk their lives for the Gospel, that they may be relieved and protected. Let us pray for grace to amend our lives, and for the Holy Spirit to illumine our darkness, that we may continue our holy Lent and await Easter with high expectation. And finally, let us offer up these prayers and praises in the words which Christ himself has taught us: Our Father. NEWS FOR THE PEWS Ladies' Dinner Group, Wednesday, March 23 rd, a traditional Seder meal. Last year those who attended were very moved by this important tradition at Passover. We set a traditional Seder table and follow a thirty-minute Seder which takes longer than 30 minutes! If you have your copy from last year, please let Nancy Scott know, knance@sentex.net, Then we have a wonderful dinner. The dinner is prepared at home and brought in slow-cookers or casseroles that can go in the oven. Because no grain is allowed, this is a gluten free meal except for the matzo. Please RSVP soon so that the cooks can adjust the portions. Also, if there is a dish you would like to make, let Nancy know. Recipes are available from Nancy.
