5 Scripture John 2:1-11 On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. When the wine gave out, the mother of Jesus said to him, They have no wine. And Jesus said to her, Woman, what concern is that to you and to me? My hour has not yet come. His mother said to the servants, Do whatever he tells you. Now standing there were six stone water jars for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons. Jesus said to them, Fill the jars with water. And they filled them up to the brim. He said to them, Now draw some out, and take it to the chief steward. So they took it. When the steward tasted the water that had become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the steward called the bridegroom and said to him, Everyone serves the good wine first, and then the inferior wine after the guests have become drunk. But you have kept the good wine until now. Jesus did this, the first of his signs, in Cana of Galilee, and revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him. 5

7 Announcements Welcome To Centenary We are glad that you are here and invite you to sign the pew pads. We invite you to join us for a time of fellowship between services. Flowers This Week are given by Scott & Lisa Wojcik in celebration of 17 years of marriage. Open Circle Supper: April 26 Supper this week will be a baked potato bar. The supper cost is $3/person with a cap of $12/family. The meal runs from 5:00 to 6:15 p.m. All are welcome. All-Church Book Study Our 1st all-church book study begins the end of April with The Book of Joy by the Dalai Lama and Bishop Desmond Tutu. Snowbird Welcome Home Potluck Every spring there are exclamations of welcome as our snowbirds return from the south. A lot happens each winter at Centenary, so as a way to welcome those who winter away and to share the excitement of what is happening here, we invite our Snowbirds to attend a welcoming and informational potluck after worship Sunday, May 7 in the Commons. Bring a dish to share; beverages will be provided. Ad Council Chair Charlie Berg, Lay Leader Michelle Laven, and Pastor Michelle Hargrave will host. Faith Formation All children ages preschool - 5th grade are invited to attend Sunday Faith Formation at 10:00 a.m. in room 200. Parents please pick children up by 10:40.
