Her funeral will take place Wednesday 4 April. Also for the repose of the soul of Josie Cummings who has died. Josie s body will be received into Our Lady & St Patrick s Church at 4.30 pm on Thursday 19 April and her Funeral Mass will take place at 11 am on Friday 20 April, followed by cremation at Torquay Crematorium.

3 Thank you The family of Irena Afifi-Affat would like to thank everyone involved in the wonderful funeral Mass for Irena. The hymns, prayers and readings were all beautiful. Share the Journey CAFOD are organising a global campaign entitled Share the Journey inspired by Pope Francis concern for migrants and refugees. See notice boards for details. Join Bishop Mark at Buckfast Abbey on Saturday 5 th May at 1.00pm to 4.30pm for a Share the Journey afternoon to reflect, pray and seek how we can take action in solidarity with migrants and refugees. Be inspired by speakers Bishop Mark, Libby Abbott of CAFOD and Nick Hanrahan of the Jesuit Refugee Service UK. The Share the Journey Exhibition, as first shown in the Houses of Parliament, will be at Buckfast Abbey for two weeks from 27 th April until 13 th May. The plan is to walk, as a Deanery group, from Teignmouth to Dawlish on 12 th May. The number of miles walked together will be added to the total of others doing similar walks across the globe with the aim of achieving 24,000 miles. It is hoped that this local walk will take place in the afternoon, finishing with refreshments in the church hall and Mass afterwards. Diocesan Pilgrimage to the Holy Land February 2019 Bookings are coming in for this pilgrimage to be led by Bishop Mark from the February next year. Completed booking forms and deposits need to be received before the 18 th April this year. We will be travelling from Luton airport and options for transport to and from the airport will be available. 6 All Saints Parish Youth Group The next meeting for our recently established Youth Group will take place on Friday 27 April from pm in the Parish Office. Please come and join us for an evening of fun, friendship, faith and fellowship. All welcome. The evenings started up in January at a fun filled evening hosted by Fr Mark and have since picked up new members. If you are age then please consider coming. Bring a plate of something simple to share like pizza, chicken nuggets, crips and dips, chocolate or sandwiches. Ascension Thursday at Buckfast Abbey Join the Catholic Children s Society for the day on 10 th May to raise funds for our local families in need. Mass will be celebrated at midday, followed by lunch and a talk from the Rt Hon Ann Widdecombe. Tickets 25 to include lunch and a tour of the grounds or the Abbey. 7 Catholic Children s Society Orange Box Appeal You will have seen an orange box appear in the Narthex at OLSP church recently. This has been supplied by the CCS for the donation and collection of stamps and other items to raise money for vulnerable children and families across Devon, Dorset and Cornwall. Please place all donations in the orange box. Items to collect are old stamps, old envelopes, coins and bank notes, precious metals, costume jewellery, medals and badges, keys and locks, metal cutlery, watches and small antiques.
