This TWENTY HOUR per week position with flexible hours involves a variety of clerical, secretarial, and other administrative functions such as basic accounting and purchasing according to GRACE policies. PART TIME MUSIC DIRECTOR St. John the Evangelist parish is seeking a part time Music Director to start immediately. This position would be responsible for coordinating and accompanying music for parish weekend, Holy Days, and funeral Masses. This person would also be responsible for recruiting, training, and scheduling all music ministry roles. Candidate must be a fully-initiated, practicing Catholic in good standing, must be familiar with Roman Catholic liturgical music and liturgical theology as well as being proficient with the piano. 5 FROM FR. JOE Hard to believe it is December already. Sometimes I'm not sure what to write, other times something comes to mind. Today is one of those days. Did you know that both St. John's and Cathedral have the same parish boundaries? This was a recent development. It probably has something to do with the fact that they both have the same pastor. Let me just say, I love it when I see Cathedral parishioners at St. John's and St. John's at Cathedral. I know that those who like to go to daily Mass won't find them Monday through Friday at either Church, but Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Cathedral and Tuesday and Thursday at St. John's. I have a small group that worship with me almost every Tuesday through Friday. Thank you for that. Also, on the weekends, I know that 4 pm and 9 am doesn't always work out, or that 5:30 pm and 10:45 am doesn't always work out. That being said, I see people crossing over to my other parish now and then because of these scheduling conflicts. For what it is worth, I appreciate it. It is a blessing and a strengthening of both my parishes when we support one another. We finished renovating the Cathedral, and it is my hope that we can "enhance" St. John's within the next two years. We have a subcommittee that will start working on it in the next few months. We truly do have two unique parishes with unique histories and architecture. It's great when we can support one another. In Christ, Fr. Joe BAMBINELLI BLESSING!!
