2 Gems Kids Talk DOROTHY: It s the Feast of Jamál or Beauty. I m going to recite a Hidden Word about beauty. O Friends! Abandon not the everlasting beauty for a beauty that must die, and set not your affections on this mortal world of dust. What do you think the everlasting beauty is? SOO: My mom says the everlasting beauty could mean the way we live the Teachings. When we practice the Teachings, our faith is beautiful. And, we grow spiritually. Hey, everlasting beauty could be our virtues in action. I m going to say the prayer about, Make Thy Beauty to Be My Food. FAIZI: Yeah! Bahá'u'lláh is the Blessed Beauty. Baha'u'llah's teachings are beautiful spiritual food. You know what? My dad thinks I m a chef because I m always making beautiful things to eat. I m going to bring a new food plate to share at Feast in honor of the Blessed Beauty in the Ridván Garden with the nightingales. Here I ll text you a picture of it! 3 The Ninth Day of Ridván We continue to celebrate Ridván in the month of Jamál. During His twelve day stay in the Garden, Bahá'u'lláh paced the banks of the Tigris River while nightingales sang. During these days, Bahá'u'lláh revealed The Hidden Words. On the ninth day of Ridván Baha'u'llah's family joined Him in the garden. Preparations for his departure were ready and the river was calm. Bahá'u'lláh welcomed the women and children of the Holy Family. They were told of His Station and Revelation. Their sadness was turned to joy. During these days, the friends continued to stream into the garden to visit Bahá'u'lláh. Many wanted to go with Him when He left for Constantinople. But, only His family and twenty other believers were allowed to travel with Him. Those left behind would continue with the teaching work in Baghdad.

4 The Twelfth Day of Ridván On the twelfth day of Ridván, the streets were crowded with well-wishers who had come to see Bahá'u'lláh for the last time. It was nearly sunset, when Bahá'u'lláh mounted a special red roan stallion, and rode through Baghdad. All watched as Bahá'u'lláh left the city heading towards Constantinople. His caravan of loaded mules and howdahs (beds carried by camels) carrying women and children followed. Bahá'u'lláh wore a tall crown or taj and the horse given for His journey. The taj and handsome stallion signaled to the world Bahá'u'lláh s High Station. They rode towards Constantinople as the sun set. Here s a factoid: Even though Bahá'u'lláh forebode anyone one to follow Him one believer ran after His caravan for three hours. At last, Bahá'u'lláh got down from the stallion. He spoke to the heart-broken man with these words, Do not be overcome with sorrow... [b]e, steadfast in your service to God, and live in such peace as will be permitted to you.

Lay out a large sheet of the paper, the right size for the wall you will hang it on. 2. Using brushes and paint, paint large roses, leaves and trees for the background of the mural 3. When the background is dry, pour different colors of paint in to paper plates. 4. Dip hands in paint and stamp hands on paper for birds. 5.
