1 MEETING MINUTES THE ASSOCIATED STUDENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, SAN DIEGO The Wednesday, February 4, 2015, meeting of the Associated Students Council was held at 6:05 pm, in the Price Center East Forum, Speaker Colin King presiding and Clerk Hayley Weddle was present. The roll was called. The following voting members were present: Angie Aguilar, Robby Boparai, Bryan Dierking, Jackie Doan, Joshua Fachtman, Igor Geyn, Jason Grimm, Amber Hawthorne, Kim Hong, Parthu Kalva, Brandon Kim, Jessica Kim, Melissa Kim, Brad Knutsen, Louis Leung, Hilary Liang, Brianne Logasa, Nadia Lopez, Sulochana Marpadga, Melody Moteabbed, Demi Mundo, Allyson Osorio, Rushil Patel, Adeline Rodriguez, Angie Saavedra, Jonathan Slowey, Dominick Suvonnasupa, Akshay Tangutur, and Taylor Valdivia. The following members were not present but excused: Joey Giltner, Liza Lukasheva, Jesslyn Myers. The following non-voting members were present: Eden Berdugo, Tristan Britt, Iris Delgado, Sarah DeVore, Sierra Donaldson, Cameron Gyorffy, Ryan Huler, Claire Maniti, Kieran Mann, Ricky Martorana, Travis Miller, Colin King, Soren Nelson, Austin Peters, Seraphin Raya, Simone Salman, Lewis Simon. Public Input was given by Annie Shouneburg and representatives from the CHE Café Community. Colin King moved to reorder to the Legislative Committee, the Resolution Calling for Joing Recommendations from ASUCSD and GSA Pertaining to the Status of the CHE Café Collective and CHE Facility. Allyson Osorio, reporting on behalf of the legislative committee, moves to discharge to council floor the Resolution Calling for Joint Recommendations from ASUCSD and GSA Pertaining to the Status of the CHE Café Collective and CHE Facility. (see Attachment 6) Sierra Donaldson moved to approve. A Special Presentation was given by Robby Boparai, AS President, titled Transition Alignment with the Other UC Campuses. Tristan Britt, reporting on behalf of the finance committee, moved to approve the allocation $ from Student Programming Unallocated to Alpha Omnicron Pi for Alpha Games: Slime Out Arthritis to take place 03/05/15; allocation of $5000 from Student Org Programming Unallocated to Model United Nations for competition travel 2/26-2/28; allocation of $62.60 from Student Org Programming Unallocated to Biological Sciences Student Association for BSSA Super Study Session to take place 03/14/15; allocation of $60.00 from Student Org Programming Unallocated to Chabad at UCSD for Learning with Chabad to take place 03/10/15; allocation of $47.34 from Student Org Programming Unallocated to JAM for Learning with JAM to take place 03/10/15; allocation of $64.27 from Student Org Programming Unallocated to Mind- Body Nutrition: Students for Integrative and Preventive Medicine for Mind Body Nutrition Spring GBM to take place 04/14/15; Allocation of $ from Student Org Programming Unallocated to Tritones at UCSD for Tritones Winter Show to take place 3/09/15; allocation of $ from Student Org Programming Unallocated to Student Support Services Club (SSSC or SSS Club) for 23 rd Annual Cultural Celebration and Awards Night to take place 05/15/15; allocation of $ from Student Org Programming Unallocated to Movimiento Estudiantil Chicanola de Aztlan (MECHA) for Raza Graduation to take place 06/12/15; Allocation of $ from Student Org Programming Unallocated to Sigma Phi Epsilon for Nu Alpha Kappa, Chi Omega, and Sigma Phi Epsilon Present: My Life Blue by Jeremy Poincenot to take place 03/11/15; motion approved. Allyson Osorio, reporting on behalf on legislative committee, moved to table indefinitely the ASUCSD Recommendation Pertaining the CHE Café Collective based upon the report of the ASUCSD Ad Hoc Special Committee to Investigate the Status of the CHE Café Collective and CHE Facility; motion passed. (see Attachment 1) Allyson Osorio moved to discharge to council floor with recommendation to approve Amendments to the ASUCSD Election Bylaws. (see Attachment 2) Nadia Lopez moved to approve. Brianne Logasa objected. Iris Delgado moved to amend Amendments to the ASUCSD Election Bylaws, which was approved.
