8 BEATING THE STRONG ISN T AS HARD AS HELPING THE WEAK. ZUU will always test and push the strong to their limits. Being humble means the weak will be shown equal compassion, empathy and inclusion in the same session.

9 Jean is a 67 year old woman that trains at ZUU HQ with some of the most elite sports people around. She understands her fitness is below everyone there but when the leader shows humility and incorporates her into the session rewarding her for her efforts it sends a strong message to all of what is acceptable, and qualities of leadership. Some cage fighters visited ZUU HQ for a session. They didn t feel the group that was made up of middle age females was the right class for them. Within 8 minutes one of them had to take a break, and the other within 15 minutes. Weakness in their fitness had been exposed by ZUU, lack of humility never saw them again. Nathan Helberg, ZUU Creator There will always be new people coming to ZUU as the word spreads. Showing humility means they feel welcomed every time they attend. Humility gets rid of ego s in ZUU and adds to the inclusive culture.

12 IT IS EARNED, NEVER GIVEN. Show respect for all people including ourselves. Our role is to earn respect in every environment we are in. To teach respect by example then by words.

13 My old man said to me, If you re ever on a bus and an older person gets on and no seats are available? You get out of your seat and offer it to them. Please and thank you are not old fashioned words. If you want to inspire people, your actions will always speak louder than words. Nathan Helberg, ZUU Creator Never judge someone by their appearance. Earning respect is our role, regardless of their age, gender or race. To lead a ZUU class, you need to be in the trenches doing the work. This earns respect on a deep level with people. Once this respect is earned we can really help people to understand the benefits to ZUU training and culture.

16 IT S FOR ANYONE, BUT NOT FOR EVERYONE. ZUU breaks down barriers like social, racial, gender, age and fitness, allowing ALL to be included in the same session. They just have to have a crack.

17 The operations manager still had reservations as to how the members in Asia would take to ZUU with its interaction, some cultures are different in this area. 55+ members filled the room & most had not met each other. By the end of the master class, the windows had fogged up from the work rate, a crowd was watching & 3 onlookers asked me if we were a team on tour training at their club?. Inclusivity allowed this to happen. Nathan Helberg, ZUU Creator My first session at ZUU HQ I remember a burly kiwi lad covered in tattoos, standing at the front door. As I walked in he walked straight up to me smiling, held out his hand and basically gave me a bro hug! Here I was getting ready for attitude. Funny when I look back at that, now I m a part of the furniture at HQ and doing the same to rookies. Ben Rigby, Ankorr Director Make newcomers feel welcome by having a smile and giving them a bro shake. This breaks the ice and sets the tone for them that anyone is welcome. Regardless of age, gender, race, fitness level or social standing, ZUU culture is inclusive.

20 BE CRYSTAL CLEAR ON WHY YOU CONTINUE, REGARDLESS OF WHAT OTHERS THINK. When you align purposes with someone, they ll commit 100% because they understand why they re doing it.

21 I can remember training with my youngest brother who was training as a gymnast and I traditionally with weights. In his environment I would describe my pathetic effort as vulnerable, which shocked me. After much soul searching, I decided to develop a training style to fight for what I had lost, mobility, strength through range, creativity, high cardio conditioning without running and to do it all without equipment. This became my purpose. A lady in her mid 50 s was performing bear crawls in one of my master classes. Sweat poured from her as she moved slowly. I knew she was disengaging and becoming very self conscious. Quietly I moved next to her and asked how she was going? How do you think I m going!, she replied. When I explained to her why bear crawls is one of the best movements for her and would benefits across the board she replied, cool, I m right now and continued. She just needed the why explained the purpose. Nathan Helberg, ZUU Creator Many have lost their purpose or a simply stuck in a rut. Being clear on the purpose of ZUU & your role as a leader will empower you to help others. Aligning purposes also bonds us together, where ever we do ZUU in the world.

24 IGNITE THE SPARK TO LIVE LIFE WITH PASSION. We get to inspire people every time we lead in the trenches. Then we get to inspire with our words and culture. Respect these opportunities as they can be the catalyst for people to chase their dreams.

25 A member at ZUU HQ asked for some advice hitting a cross road in his career. In our first meeting he told me how unhappy he was in his career. So I asked what he was passionate about? His eyes lit up, his body language changed as he told me. All he needed then, was the inspiration to chase his dreams. Within 6 months he was living it, all from one meeting. I have never held a Level 1 course in the world without being told it was inspirational. It is always humbling for me when I hear that but also reminds me of how many people live life without it. Being able to inspire people and spark the fire inside them to live life... is life. Nathan Helberg, ZUU Creator To inspire people you need to be genuine. Then it will resonate through you when you talk, when you lead by example. Inspiration lead people to do great things with their life. ZUU can be a source of inspiration to all that experience it.
