CONCEPT OF THE DESIGN The passages previously are a rough (and very simplified!) brainstorm of trinity & God and our relationship with God through Jesus and the Spirit.

4 CONCEPT OF THE DESIGN The passages previously are a rough (and very simplified!) brainstorm of trinity & God and our relationship with God through Jesus and the Spirit. The main images that came out of it was the idea of intertwining /unity; the intertwining relationship between God the Father, Son and Spirit, and His relationship with His people and supremacy over all creation ( in all, through all, with all language). The concept in the #nte18 branding The branding for #NTE18 will be less of a logo as in previous years, but will mainly work off this concept of intertwining. Text will intertwine with images. The intertwining effect between text and image also suggests movement/action- the activeness of a living God. It also suggests a revealing of the text; just as God reveals himself to us (also referring back to the mystery of the gospel of Christ/ word of truth in Colossians). How it will be used throughout the year Text (not limited to the title text) can be intertwined through a number of appropriate images (e.g. buildings, people, landscapes, etc). So there is freedom to be flexible and to explore broader themes of God, the Trinity and the attributes of God

7 TITLE TEXT AS LOGO Where the intertwining effect cannot be replicated (e.g. no access to Photoshop, or limited colour/printing options for merchandise etc), the title text alone can be used. Appropriate use of the title as a logo must keep the words/ letters in the following arrangement and appropriate #NTE18 colours should be used. Title on white Title with black text on white background. Text can also be #NTE18 greens. Title on black Title with white text on black (or #NTE18 greens) background. Title on image Title against image background. Lightcoloured images can have black/green text....of all nations Title with subtitle Title with subtitle. Subtitle must be in Bodoni 72 and placed as in example

8 SIZE SPACE Ensure that all text is legible. The smallest size the text-logo should be is: 25.5mm Without subtitle: 25.5 x 25.5mm 25.5mm 28.5mm...of all nations With subtitle: 28.5x mm Please ensure that the logo is used with sufficient white space, approximately one-third of the full-height. Do not place any elements inside this space - 8 -

9 IMAGES NTE images/photos Choose photos with faces visible/people engaged in an acitivity/groups of people/ people interacting with one another. Theme images Choose a scenic photo of a landscape or grandeur scenery either of nature or cities or crowds of people. The aim of the thematic images is to reflect the theme of True and Living God ; see conceptual brainstorm. These images can be used in the background of documents or posts overlayed with a semitransparent white box containing paragraphs of text (like in this document). It can also be used behind the title text as logo (see previous pages). Image for intertwining text Choosing an image with some movement or detail where text can be hidden/revealed in between the details or components of the photos will be helpful in achieving the intertwining effect. See next page for some examples. When intertwining text, always make sure that the text is legible after hiding parts of the letters behind the image. It should add a flow and movement to the image, without being illegible. In particular, be mindful with letters that can be misread as other characters when parts of it are hidden
