2 Speaker for April 17th, 2016 Richard Summers - Michael and Mary Lines & the Dragon Lines - Richard will talk about the Michael and Mary Lines, the Dragon Lines, the Apollo and Athena Lines (dowsed by motorbike back in about 2000) and the magical town of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk where St Edmund, King and Martyr, was a focus of pilgrimage for over 500 years. Richard will present also the story about the Russian Monastery, where the bones of St Edmund were stolen from Bury St Edmunds by the French in late medieval times, and then taken to a Monastery in Toulouse, southern France. They were brought back to Arundel Castle on the South Coast of England, with a view to enshrining them in the then new Roman Catholic Westminster Cathedral in London. In the early 1990s, at the last moment, the Archbishop of Westminster put a stop to it after the bones were found to belong to more than one gender. Richard will talk about the connection with Uluru/Ayers Rock which is apparently in line with two other formations, Mt. Connor, which has a flat top and is not visited by tourists, and the Olgas to the south which are purple. Some feel that Ayers Rock is Yang, while the Olgas are Yin. Mt. 3 From the Editor Congratulations to our new team, elected at our March 2016 AGM. The election was presided over by our Returning Officer Rai Heller. We are glad to have our entire existing team continue with their roles with the unanimous approval of all the members present. Five new members have joined the committee and we welcome them warmly. You will find an updated list on page 27. I was quite surprised to receive the Dowser of the Year award for 2015, as well as being awarded Honorary Life Membership of the Society from our Vice President Gordon Marshall. I am very touched and I would like to take this opportunity to mention the participation of the Newsletter team. A group of dedicated members who have performed their task severy month without fail for the last 6 years. 4 Things That Go Bump in the Night By Joey Korn Do ghosts really exist? After people die, can they still continue to hang around and haunt a person or a place? Can entities cause problems for us? Can supernatural or paranormal events be real? After dowsing and teaching as my primary profession for almost twenty years, with a primary focus on personal energy clearing and space clearing, my answer to those questions is a resounding Yes! In fact, this aspect of my work has become my specialty. I now deal with it almost every day in the Remote Spiritual Housecleaning Sessions I do from my home. I have done thousands of space clearings through the years, both on-site and remote, and I find two primary causes of paranormal experiences: 1. Earthbound Spirits 2. Interference Energy Earthbound Spirits Many people have had Near Death Experiences, during which they have actually died for a short period of time before being brought back to life. From their accounts, we have learned that many of them see a tunnel with a bright Light at the end of it. It is also quite common for them to report seeing loved ones that have gone before them, who are either beckoning them into the tunnel or telling them they are not ready to go yet and must return to their bodies. Sometimes they do enter the tunnel and see and experience wonderful things. Then a magnificent Being of Light might tell them they must return, and they do, often to a body in much pain, depending on the circumstances of the death. I believe these experiences to be real. I had an out-of-body experience when I was 21. While I did not see a tunnel, I did see my body very Page 4 Dowsers Society of NSW April 2016

5 clearly while I was floating above it. My body did not die; it was very much alive, but my soul was not in it and not animating it. Somehow I knew how to reenter my body. That experience vividly demonstrated to me that we are not our bodies and that our souls continue to live and be aware even after physical death. Earthbound Spirits are human beings who have lived on Earth, whose physical bodies have died, but for some reason, they have chosen not to enter the tunnel and follow the Light to join their loved ones in the Higher Realms. They are too attached to a person, a place, or to physical life itself. Some are confused because they died tragically, such as is in an accident or through suicide. Earthbound Spirits are still aware of their physical surroundings and can see the people around them, but most of these people cannot hear or see them. These disembodied souls get trapped in the astral plane, the energy or spiritual dimension just behind our physical dimension. As living physical human beings, we exist in both the physical dimension, or Earth plane, and the astral plane, yet most of us are only aware of the physical Earth plane. Earthbound Spirits exist primarily in the astral plane, yet they are still somewhat aware of the Earth plane. Some stay in the astral plane after physical death for only a few days, weeks, or months before they move on, sometimes until after the funeral or some other event; others get trapped for many years, sometimes hundreds of years. They do not realize that they have trapped themselves. Interference Energy There are many kinds of beings in the astral plane besides Earthbound Spirits. One category of these spirit beings is what I call non-human Dowsers Society of NSW April 2016 Page 5

6 entities. These are beings who have never had life on Earth as human beings, but they have something to do with human activity. I believe that in a very real sense, these negative beings are actually created by us, with our negative thoughts, emotions, and actions. You might consider the astral plane to be the shadow world of the Earth plane. Even though some would say these beings share space with us, that is a misnomer, as there is no time or space in the astral plane. Time and space is a function of the physical or Earth plane. For the most part, these beings cannot interfere with us, with our personal energies, or the energies of our homes and other living environments, such as offices; they are in a different plane of existence. But something can happen to create a connection between the dimensions. When we enter intensely negative states of mind and emotion, we can open a crack between the worlds and energies in the astral plane can connect to us. This is what I call Interference Energy. It then greatly exacerbates the negativity that brought it in, and greatly exacerbates the imbalances in the Human Energy Patterns of whoever it connects to. It sets up in certain places in the home and creates what I call doorways to the astral plane. Some might call them portals. Interference Energy then causes all the natural energies of the entire floor of that home or other space that it sets up in, to be detrimental. It also causes imbalances in the Human Energy Patterns of people who live in or are energetically imprinted in or connected to that space, and it exacerbates negativity in and between those people. Interference Energy interferes with our lives. These negative beings seem to feed on the negative thoughts and emotions of people, such as fear, anger, jealousy, hatred, etc. So increasing negativity in people makes them stronger. Problems Caused by Earthbound Spirits and Interference Energy As a general rule, people don t feel good when these energies are in their homes or offices. Some might not even notice it, but it can cause major Page 6 Dowsers Society of NSW April 2016

7 problems for more energetically-sensitive people, especially for empaths. Some people feel depressed and anxious. If people are ill while in these energies, physical symptoms will likely be exacerbated. For others, it can actually cause physical symptoms, such as intense headaches, nausea, and strong pressure in the chest area. Others experience effects that feel like electricity, which is why Interference Energy is often mistaken for electrical fields or EMFs. These energies can also make it difficult to sleep and can cause nightmares, in both children and adults. And even though Interference Energy is typically connected to living human beings, all of the negative effects are even worse if the Interference Energy is actually connected to an Earthbound Spirit, which would likely mean that person had attracted the energy before he or she died. Earthbound Spirits and negative beings or non-human entities can see and hear us, but, as a general rule, we cannot hear or see them. Children see them more often that adults; they may see scary images or monsters. Adults more often see glimpses of shadowy beings. Cats and dogs are often reported to hiss or bark at nothing, however it seems that they are actually seeing something that we can t see. Children and pets often will not go into a particular room in the home because of the presence of this energy. Paranormal Events In time, if the Earthbound Spirits or the negative beings related to Interference Energy have access to the space for long enough, they can learn to manipulate the physical energy environment and cause paranormal Dowsers Society of NSW April 2016 Page 7

8 events. Sometimes Earthbound Spirits can simply be trying to let their loved ones know they are there. Other times, they are angry because other people are living in what they consider to be their home, and they want to drive them away. The negative beings that are given access to the home through Interference Energy often want to instigate fear in the inhabitants of the space. As stated earlier, they feed on our fear and negativity; it gives them power. Both of these kinds of spirit beings can learn to turn lights off and on, and sometimes people report that they actually flip switches. They can cause electronic equipment to malfunction or quit working altogether. They can make rapping sounds on walls and ceilings. They sometimes make the sounds and physical vibrations of footsteps, when no one in the home is walking. Several people have reported hearing bouncing balls, when no one in the home is bouncing a ball. These events are quite commonly reported by my clients. In one case, I was in a frame shop and the owners showed me a wall with framing supplies hanging on hooks. They told me that one day, all of the framing supplies began rattling. They could see and hear them moving, but could feel nothing that might cause them to do that, and nothing else in the building moved. When I showed them that a vertical line of Interference Energy was right at their bathroom sink, they told me that they had recently heard the familiar squeaking sound of the hot water handle being turned on, while Page 8 Dowsers Society of NSW April 2016

9 billing out a customer just a few feet away. They all went into the bathroom and found the hot water was running, while they knew for sure it was not running before that. The couple turned around, and the customer was running out the door. Other clients report smelling strong odours, like cigarette or cigar smoke, a particular perfume, or even more gruesome smells like rotting flesh. (I have experienced this myself, in the home of a client.) Some hear sounds like people talking and others hear distinct words being said to them. One of my clients even reported hearing her own voice and her husband s voice being mimicked from time to time. She and someone else independently, on different occasions, heard explosions in a particular room they were in, like a gunshot. She once saw the shadowy image of a huge man and could hear and feel heavy boot steps. This home was on land that dated back to the Civil War. Also Indians were evidently on the property long before because members of the family often found arrowheads and other artifacts there. There were actually two Earthbound Spirits in two different homes on the property, both with Interference Energy connected to them. After I removed the Interference Energy and then moved them on, all paranormal activity stopped on both houses. Many clients feel the presence of beings watching them, and several have reported feeling like they were being pushed, especially at the tops of stairways. Some have reported feeling their beds move, like someone was crawling into bed with them or sitting on the bed. One client was absolutely sure that he had closed and locked doors in his home with deadbolts, and then repeatedly found them unlocked and slightly open. Other weird things had happened too. These are just a few of the paranormal events that have been reported to me. Sometimes my clients are amused and aren t afraid; others are terrified. Almost all of them want these activities to stop. 10 Finding the Energies that Are Causing the Problems Many of my clients say that they have had their homes cleared several times by others, using different techniques and modalities, or they had done clearing work themselves. They report that they seem to feel better and the paranormal activities may cease for a while, but they always seem to return. This tells me that they never got to the source of the problem. The difference between what I do and what others do, is that I actually find and connect to the energy pattern of the Earthbound Spirit anchored into the home, or the vertical detrimental lines (doorways) of the Interference while I do the clearing. I do all of my energy work with blessings, but I use different blessings to remove Interference Energy and to move Earthbound Spirits on to the Higher Realms. One blessing won t work for the other kind of energy. I use L-rods to find and connect to both of the kinds of energy, as I find rods to be the most efficient dowsing tools to find energy. While I do all my clearing work with blessings, and I will share the intentions I put into the blessings, I cannot easily teach you, in writing, how to find and clear the various energies. I can tell you, however, where I look for and ultimately find these energies. I can also share the basic intent I put into the blessings. Earthbound Spirits have the same energy patterns as human beings, but they will be totally detrimental or out of balance. They anchor into the home at a certain place. I typically look for living people s imprinted energy patterns around beds and other furniture. (For more information, see articles about the Bed Pattern and Human Energy Pattern at For some reason, I typically find the energy patterns of Earthbound Spirits anchored in at fireplaces, whether or not the fireplaces are actually used. If there is no fireplace, I often find their energy patterns around electric heaters or other electronic equipment, such as a home entertain- Page 10 Dowsers Society of NSW April 2016

11 ment center. It seems to be related to fire or yang energy. Clearing the Energies at the Source For Interference Energy, I find and connect to the doorways or portals. These doorways to the astral plane might seem to dowse as detrimental spots of energy, because I can walk around these places in tight circles, asking to find detrimental Interference Energy, and I will not get dowsing reactions, but when I dowse while walking directly into them, I do get reactions. However, they are actually vertical lines of detrimental energy, about twelve inches in diameter, connecting the astral plane to the Earth plane. They typically set up in one or more bathrooms and at least one closet in a home. A vertical detrimental energy line will typically set up just inside the entrance of one bathroom, right at the sink or toilet in another bathroom (if there are at least two bathrooms), and just inside one closet, usually a closet with shelves, like a linen closet. They could also set up in other places, especially if there are no bathrooms or closets in the space. These energies seem to have something to do with water or yin energy, but not underground water. To move an Earthbound Spirit on, so they can progress in their own spiritual evolution, I dowse to find where the energy pattern is anchored into the home and hold my L-rods in the dowsing reaction, connecting to the soul s energy pattern, and then I say a blessing. I pray only to God and I call on any benevolent forces that are in accord with the Divine, including loved ones of the deceased and others the soul might recognize, angels, guides, spiritual intermediaries, and if necessary, Archangel Michael, to open Dowsers Society of NSW April 2016 Page 11

12 the doors to the spiritual realm and show this being their faces. I ask that they beckon the being over to join them at Home, where they will find contentment, love, and peace. Within a few seconds the soul s pattern typically comes into balance or clears, and by the end of the blessing, the energy pattern simply disappears, which tells me they have moved on. Then all the energy imbalances in the home that were caused by the presence of the spirit will come into balance and become beneficial, and paranormal activity will cease. Once successfully moved on, Earthbound Spirits never return. They finally see what they have been missing all along, and don t want to return to their misery. With Interference Energy, which is much more common and typically causes more intense energy imbalances in a home, I assume I do not know what this energy is or what to do with it. For example, if I just ask to remove the energy or close the doorways, it doesn t work. I assume that Nature does know what to do with the energy, so I use dowsing to find one of the doorways, described above, and hold my dowsing reaction in order to connect to the energy. Then I say a blessing, addressing the Divine and calling on what I call the Powers of Nature to do whatever is appropriate with this energy, all energies like it, all energies related to it, all energies connected to it, and all energies affected by it, to bring healing and balance to the complete beings of all who are affected by this energy That is the basic intent, and as long as I think about and envision this process while I m saying the blessing, it always works. Within a few seconds after I complete the blessing, the energy just disappears, and all the energies in the home that are detrimental as a result of this energy will simultaneously come into balance. 13 to the extent that the imbalances that were caused by the Interference Energy, and paranormal activity, will stop. However, without having the experience of working with this energy over the years and learning to understand its effect on the energies of people and homes, as I have, it can be difficult to truly discern that you have found this energy, and it is also difficult to envision the process of what is happening. The understanding must come first. Also, for many people, dealing with these energies leads to fear, and that can not only interfere with the process, it can make the energy problems worse. If you keep practicing to find these energies and the other energies that are in homes, including imprints of Human Energy Patterns, and learn to discern whether the energies you find are beneficial or detrimental (balanced or unbalanced), you too can do this work. It s much more effective than some nebulous idea of what is going on with the energies and with spirit beings and sending them to the light. 14 Test Before You Ingest Pendulum Dowsing for the Body By Amy Scott Grant Reprinted from the American Society of Dowsers, Fall 2015 Have you ever found yourself taking a pill or supplement, yet wondering whether or not it was really working? Now you can know for sure before you buy that wildly expensive bottle or prescription. Are you thinking it might be dairy that s giving you such foul intestinal troubles? Perhaps you are suspicious of the side effects of one substance or another? Curious about how that third glass of wine will really affect you? Read on to learn how to test before you ingest. Position your hands in the manner demonstrated in the drawing, as used for multiple-choice testing with a pendulum. Designate your fingers the following (can start with thumb or pinkie; it doesn t matter, but it helps the memory if you are consistent): Medicinal - Beneficial - Neutral - Detrimental - Toxic You can designate or name each finger by simply touching it and thinking or saying the choice you d like to associate with it. For example, touch your thumb and say or think, medicinal; then touch your pointer finger and say or think, beneficial, and so on, all the way to toxic for the pinkie. Then, in the same manner in which you would ask a multiple-choice question, hold the pendulum over the center of your splayed hand, and Page 14 Dowsers Society of NSW April 2016

15 ask: All things considered, what is the effect of [name of substance] on my body? The pendulum will swing toward one finger in particular, giving you the answer. In the example above, if the pendulum swings toward the thumb, then you know the expected effect of that substance on your body would be medicinal. This one simple technique can save you quite a bit of time and money, not to mention physical distress. Certainly, if something has a detrimental or toxic effect on your body, you ll want to find an alternative. But if the effect is neutral, then you are literally flushing that substance (plus whatever you paid for it) down the toilet. If the effect is beneficial or medicinal, it makes sense to keep investing in - and using - that substance. Please consult a medical professional if you are considering stopping any prescription drugs or medication. Do your research and find out if there are natural alternatives that are just as effective. You would be wise to Truth Test these alternatives as well. To Truth Test, consider the possibility that even the most natural of substances could be toxic for your body. Likewise, a prescription drug with a long list of nasty side effects may actually have an appropriately medicinal effect on your body. You are an individual. Be proactive and test for yourself, have at least one other person verify the test, and then find a solution that works for you. But please, don t quit your prescription drugs cold turkey. Generally speaking, that can result in very unpleasant consequences! Yes, you can absolutely use this Truth Testing method to check on behalf of another (friends, children, spouses, clients, pets, livestock, etc.). This form of dowsing can be used to test supplements, medication, food, spices, beverages, lotions, and soaps - really anything you are considering putting on or into your body. 17 Consider the benefits of this dowsing method: How helpful is it to know precisely which foods make you sick or uncomfortable? You can decide whether you re getting your money s worth for those designer vitamins or the rare and expensive rainforest-derived supplements. You can order meals in a way that even the chef hadn t considered (forget on the side and order a sure-thing substitution). Just before a big date, interview, presentation, workshop, etc., you can know what not to eat in order to avoid any embarrassing intestinal distress. You can feel better knowing whether a substance you re taking is actually working. You can test kids to see what s optimal for their little bodies, and in what doses (because some children require much smaller doses than what is considered safe on the package). Same goes for your parents, your pets, or any person or animal under your care. It explains why Bob never has a second cup of your coffee. You can tell the difference between an emotional craving (stress eating) vs. a legitimate physical craving that indicates your body needs particular minerals or nutrients. You no longer have to take your expert friend s word for it when she tries to convince you that eggs (or gluten or store-bought juice) are evil. You can also empower your children to check for themselves, which is Dowsers Society of NSW April 2016 Page 17

18 the ultimate defense against peer pressure. No thanks, weed just doesn t agree with my body. Sometimes we are afraid to know because we d prefer to stay in denial. We think that knowing means we will have to give up that food or substance forever. That s the same reason I waited years to do anything about my known sugar addiction. I loved sugar! I didn t want to give it up, and I was certain that s what had to happen. But that s simply not true. Like any other block, an addiction or sensitivity can be cleared. This article is not about clearing addictions, so I ll leave that topic for another time. Suffice it to say that if you know what foods you can t tolerate, you are then empowered to make informed choices whenever you eat. This means you can choose to skip it, you can consciously choose to eat it with the understanding that consequences are on the way, or you can be proactive and find a reasonable substitute that works with your body (rating at the very least, neutral). There are many misconceptions about what is or isn t good for us. Part of the reason for this confusion is that every body is unique, which is why it pays to test before you ingest. 19 Ley Line Update By François Capmeil You may recall the article I wrote in June 2015 newsletter on my return from Mont-Saint-Michel in Normandy last year. At the time, my wife and I had been very disappointed with the level of vitality in the Apollo and Athena lines at the mont. We had found out that as part of an upgrade plan, the French government dammed the river, built a dyke on the entrance to the Apollo line and placed 3 huge rock barriers, partly buried at the time, blocking the exit of the Athena line from the mont. It is clear that the vitality and energy of these lines have a great positive and spiritual impact on human beings. We have both felt this effect and come back from our visists in the past, with changed perspective and inner landscapes. Not so lately. So I feel it is essential that we do take the repair and preservation of these lines of energy under our wings. We will be leaving for France at the end Dowsers Society of NSW April 2016 Page 19

20 of May After our visit to Mont-Saint-Michel, we intend to visit other sites further inland following on Hamish Miller s footsteps. I do not want to come back disappointed again. As a group of dowsers there is something we can do. We know that these lines do respond to human consciousness. Hamish has proven that at the Castle Rock site, in New Zealand, where he found that the pattern of energy had greatly responded to the human connection he and others made at the time. He describes the interface in his last book In Search of the Southern Serpent. The response took the form of enhanced energy patterns. He wrote: I was excited to find that the number of radials had increased to thirty... The rod quivered in my hand like a tuning fork... If Hamish was able to prompt changes in energy patterns like that, what is stopping us as a society to do the same? So I would like to propose that we all individually and collectively, or anyway we feel comfortable to do, send our attention, prayers, energy, Grace... to dissolve the great nasty blocks placed in the pathways of these lines, in Normandy. If you feel hesitant about what to do, just ask a fellow member, ask at the meeting. We could even have a small segment at the next meeting to do a group ley line healing together. Whatever it takes, let s do it. When I return I will report on our findings, and I sincerely hope that we will be able to report a difference. The effect of these lines cannot be underestimated. In the Middle Ages it prompted people to walk all the way from Normandy, south to the Pyrenees Mountains, and then on to Spain in pilgrimage, with nothing more than a walking staff and small bag. The spiritual devotion they experienced fuelled the construction of the Page 20 Dowsers Society of NSW April 2016

21 great churches and cathedrals of France. In a bit more than a hundred years, 1500 of these were built. Very poor people spent their savings to purchase one stone to be part of the construction, to be a part of history. What can we NOT do today if we want to? Mission Statement The Dowsers Society of NSW Inc. aims to provide a forum for dowsers to meet and exchange ideas and experiences; to support and promote effective and responsible dowsing; and to provide education, training and information about dowsing and allied subjects. Code of Ethical Conduct The Dowsers Society of NSW Inc. supports, encourages and promotes dowsing in a manner consistent with the highest standards of personal integrity and behaviour. We believe that dowsing activities should be practised with modesty and discretion when dealing with others; speak your truth quietly and clearly, but feel superior to none. Dowse for the good of all, with honesty, truthfulness and respect, especially to those who may not share your beliefs. Keep an open mind and a willingness to learn. We are all beginners. 22 - Energetic Lymph Therapy Workshop - Sunday May 15th, with Vara Maranda - This morning workshop will introduce a new Australian energetic technique using Quartz tools, in a specific rhythmic sequence around the body. It is a unique technique which creates a pulsating effect with the clients biomagnetic field. 26 Speaker for May 15th, 2016 John Tobin - Sound Therapy / Vibrasonics - Sound therapy is a holistic ancient healing practice aiming to reduce stress and create a greater sense of peace and wellbeing.
