1 Chapter 1 : The Seven Universal Laws Explained The Fifth Eternal Principle: The Law of Harmony. There is divine order in the universe, and we are meant to be in harmony with everyone and everything. There is truth to the Law of Attraction as it is discussed in the movie and the book, The Secret, but there is more to it than that. I had a problem with The Secret in that it did not explain in any clear or compelling way the role that God plays in the Law of Attraction. In fact, the word "God" was not even mentioned in the film until around 3 minutes before the end of the movie--and then in only a very brief, cursory way. The Energy of Attraction is part of alarger system of cause-and-effect in the Universe. Talking about "attraction" as if it were a law unto itself is a little like talking about the law of gravity without discussing the physics explaining what gravity does, and why. Okay, so a thing drops. Let us look, then, and look deeply, at the great principles of life. Life expresses itself through: The Energy of Attraction, which gives you power. The Law of Opposites, which gives you opportunity. The Gift of Wisdom, which gives you discernment. The Joy of Wonder, which gives you imagination. The Presence of Cycles, which gives you eternity. You might even call this Larger System and this process that regulates the law, "God. Invite yourself to explore this idea, just for now. Could "God" really be, after all is said and done, a process? And could that process by the experience called Life? Is the Process of Personal Creation simply the playing out of life as it naturally expresses? Life, I have come to understand, is God. It is God being God, and becoming what God is next going to Be. This is a complex and extraordinary system that includes a Process that produces an Expression called life. This system is a circle. Imagine this circle in your mind. One thing leads to another, which leads to another, which leads to another, in a never-ending cycle. It is all One. Life as it is created is the process, life as it appears is the expression, and life as it affects us is the experience. How it affects us is determined by us--and this is not something that is understood by most people. It is God, godding. This is the manifestation of the Presence of Cycles. All things respond to this presence. All things exist in cycles. All things have their being within the system--and there is nothing outside of that system. Conscious use of the Principles that are the foundation of the Process of Personal Creation produces an Expression of life that leads to the Experience of Divinity. Are you tracking me here? Stay close to me. Re-read a few words if you wish to. Attraction is part of those metaphysics. It is an energy magnet. It pulls to itself everything like itself. It obeys, absolutely, the principle: This energy magnet, this Power from God, is being used by us in the Process of Personal Creation--and it is being used all the time, whether we are aware of it or not, whether we acknowledge it or not. So now, when discussing our own power to produce our own reality, we never again have to ask, "Where is God in all of this? 2 Chapter 2 : Least Known Facts About the 7 Mystical Laws of Attraction The Sixth Eternal Principle: The Law of Abundance "Abundance is an energy state that manifests material wealth and other, more important forms of wealth." The Seventh Eternal Principle: The Law of Attraction The 7 Laws of the Harvest, Law 5 Galatians 6: Reaping what we sow means we reap only what has been sown, we reap in kind as we sow, we reap in a differ-ent season than we sow, we reap more than we sow, but we also reap in proportion as we sow. In reality, the laws of sowing and reaping mean, "As Now, So Then. Because today we are becoming what we will be the rest of our lives!! While the last two laws are related, there is a very impor-tant difference. The last two laws both deal with the fact we reap more than we sow. It has to do with living by faith, with being faithful, bold, courageous, venturesome. There is a sign along the Alaskan Highway that reads: Declarations of This Principle 2 Cor. Bounti-ful sowing leads to bountiful reaping. If you want to be rich. If you want to be poor. If you want abundance. If you want to be needy. It can be described as: Examples of this Principle. The law that "we reap in proportion to what we sow," like all the laws of the harvest, operates both negatively and the positively. If we sow abundantly to the Spirit, we will reap abundantly in spiritual blessings and consequences. But if we sow abundantly to the flesh, we will reap an abundant harvest of the consequences of fleshly living--a life full of the weeds of unrighteousness. David is a case in point: Because David continued to sow to the flesh, his sin snowballed. He went from coveting Bathsheba to one sin after another until he had broken half of the Ten Commandments. He sinned abundantly and reaped abundant consequences. However, the primary motivation and emphasis of this principle and promise in the Bible is toward the good. It is a spiritual law of life that is inherent in the nature of God, but one that is contrary to the nature of man. So God encourages us through a number of passages to live as children of God according to this principle and promises that our generosity will not be forgotten. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. The liberal soul shall be made fat: He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: One of the results of this principle is that we are to be: These things are good and profitable unto men. In other words, we are to be a people who sow bountifully or generously of our lives, of our talents, time, treasures, and truth. Foundations for This Principle A. We need to remember who God is, what He is like, and what He has promised. Not only is He omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, and sovereign b. But He is a loving, kind, gracious, and a giving God. The gift of His Son is the supreme illustration of this. Since this is the case, we can expect God to be generous with us when we echo His character through our walk with Him. Notice carefully what the Lord is able and wants to do for us: Exceeding abundantly above all we ask or think. Obviously, since bountiful sowing is the result of what we do, we need to say a bit about our part and what is needed in us if we are going to act on this principle of sowing bountifully. Bountiful sowing is always to be the result or the outworking of biblical insight, values, commitment, and the Spirit-filled life. Our sowing is to be the result of faith from single-ness of vision and devo-tion to God. We should give because we are trusting God for eternal treasures, trusting God both to supply our present needs, and increase our ability to give and be a blessing. Of course, we should always give out of love for God and people in need, but we also give in faith because we know God has promised to supply our needs, that our giving will not be our lack. In connection with the gifts given by the Philippians to supply his needs, Paul wrote: Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: We do not give in order to get! A point of clarification is in order here concerning 2 Co. The analogy of sowing and reaping in 2 Corinthians 9: In grace sowing, you give so that God is glorified and others receive a blessing. There is a promise of return, but it is to increase our seed for sowing, greater giving, and increase the harvest of our righteousness, spiritual fruit for the glory of God Cf. As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: Contrary to how man typically thinks, these verses and the conditions they describe are designed to promote bountiful sowing, not the opposite Page 2

3 which is stinginess. These verses warn about the dangers of being overly cautious which hinders generous sowing. The uncertainties of life are one of the things that keep most people from giving and ministering to others when they have the opportunity. They are afraid their giving will be their lack. Who knows what the future holds. If I give, I might not be able to meet the needs of my family. But these verses are given in a context that calls for casting our bread upon the waters, for generous giving knowing that our gifts will return to us later. Just trust the Lord. Nor can we wait for things to be free of all risks--absolutely free, abso-lutely safe. Instead of protecting ourselves, we have to take what appears to us as risks and live by faith. Page 3

We perpetuate and significantly increase our own suffering. Problems are there of course. But we generally do a great job of making them a lot bigger and more problematic than they really are or really need to be. They are as follow: Everything in the Universe is mind. This principle defines the true nature of energy, matter, and the way you can influence them mastering your mind. To put it simply, if you start with the wrong mind-set, you are setting yourself up for failure. If you want to attract or manifest something in your life, then start by thinking that you can do it, that you can achieve it and that you are worth it. Change your mind-set and you will start to create a new reality. The Principle of Correspondence: As above so below, as within so without. This principle explains what is known today as The Law of Attraction. How we feel internally our thoughts and emotions will determine what we will manifest in our outer reality. The Principle of Vibration: Nothing rests, everything moves, everything vibrates. This Principle explains how everything in the Universe is made up of energy vibrating at different wavelengths and speeds. The higher the vibration, the higher the position on the scale. If you feel happy, grateful and content with what you already have, the Law of Attraction will respond consequently. The Principle of Polarity: Like the two faces of the same coin. Every time we go through a difficult moment, we always find ourselves in a better position once out the other side. The next time something happens, try not to think of it as a negative problem. Start to change your perception of it into a positive occasion which has the potential to change and improve your life. The Principle of Rhythm: Everything in the Universe has its own rhythm and its own cycle. Every single person on the planet has a certain rhythm to their life. The Principle of Gender: Masculine and Feminine energies are present in everything that is created in our Universe. Gender is in everything and everything has its own masculine and feminine principles. Regardless of gender, each one of us has within themselves masculine and feminine energies. Feminine energy is very expansive, creative and fluid. While planning, structure and control characterize masculine energy. Both are necessary, and complement each other. Bringing balance between the two within ourselves, will greatly improve our ability to attract and create what we want in our life. When we feel angry, stressed, frustrated or depressed, our outer reality will be a projection of this emotional state. 5 stress levels and greatly improving our mood. Removing blockages and re-establishing the natural flow of energy automatically raises our vibrations. In this state of well-being, acceptance and gratitude, it will be easier to attract anything we want in our life. Taking into consideration the Seven Hermetic Principles, write your goals, or things you want to see happening in your life, on a piece of paper. Fold it, draw the Connection Symbol on it, and while holding it between your hands, let the Reiki Energy flow. Concentrate on your breathing. While breathing in we celebrate life and abundance. While breathing out we release and let go of all the obstacles and blockages we are experiencing. Feel all the emotions arise inside your heart happiness, love, joy, gratefulness and hold them there for as long as you can. Keep this meditation going for as long as you feel necessary. Once you finish, carry that piece of paper with you during the day. Never stop pursuing your dreams. Be ready to invest at least 10 hours yes, 3 hours a day for 10 years in reaching your goals. You may be making the mistake of thinking that the Law of Attraction only works for some people and not you When you align your energy field by using proven tools to raise your vibration, then you will see real results. Though after I sought more information about the 7 Laws of Attraction, I found that they really are just individual elements broken down into subsets of the main Law. They are familiar concepts that teach that we attract things into our lives based on our beliefs, thoughts, words, and actions. Consciousness is always a choice. Our constant question must be: What am I focusing my consciousness on right now? Then the question that follows is: What might this consciousness be creating for me? We can only attract the same kind of energy frequency that we put out ourselves. The Universe is filled with vibration that scientists call "strings" of energy, it moves within us from and all around us literally all of the time, whether we are aware of it or not. Each of us is a part of a vast exchange and expansion of this force that takes place in the Universe every moment of every day. For your wishes to be pure you must genuinely believe that you are worthy of what you want. That repulsive vibration will push it away, turning away the very people and situations that might bring your desired outcome. When you consciously choose to create balance and align yourself with the Universe, your intention and energy open the flood gates of Universal abundance, allowing you access to all the insights, power and blessings that the world has to offer. Align your energy with yourself, with others and with the Universal flow. Your energy is self-perpetuating in the world. Value, honor, and dignity will increase in your life to the same degree that you promote them in the environment around you. On the other hand if your actions work to tear down the value, honor or dignity of others, then that destruction will return to you according to this principle. There is one core question that you must ask yourself about every choice and that question is: Energy expands in the world and has influence in your personal arena and in the world at large. You can and do have an impact on everything, from the productivity of your company and the harmony of your family, all the way to the peace of the world! The power of your own personal vibration becomes global by virtue of the law. When you choose to live with reverence in your heart and direct it toward those around you, that positive energy spreads to all your circles of influence and eventually your intention for harmony expands in consciousness of every human being. (Law Of Attraction) blog.quintoapp.com The Law of Attraction as Part of the Equation: You will notice that the Law of Attraction is not specifically mentioned as one of the seven Universal Laws. This is not to diminish its importance but rather to highlight it because the Law of Attraction is the basic Law of the Universe which runs through all the seven Universal Laws discussed here. The Universe exists in perfect harmony by virtue of these Laws. Ancient mystical, esoteric and secret teachings dating back over 5, years from Ancient Egypt to Ancient Greece and to the Vedic tradition of Ancient India, all have as their common thread these seven Spiritual Laws of the Universe. Once you understand, apply and align yourself with these Universal Laws, you will experience transformation in every area of your life beyond that which you have ever dared to imagine. The Immutable and the Mutable: Of the seven Universal Laws, the first three are immutable, eternal Laws, meaning they are Absolute and can never be changed or transcended. They have always existed and will always exist. The other four laws are transitory, mutable Laws meaning that they can be transcended or at least "better used" to create your ideal reality. This is not to say that you should ignore these four Laws or attempt to defy them for even if you do they will still govern your existence. Your aim is to master each of the seven Universal Laws and only then learn to transcend the mutable ones. The Law of Mentalism Immutable: That everything we see and experience in our physical world has its origin in the invisible, mental realm. It tells us that there is a single Universal Consciousness - the Universal Mind - from which all things manifest. All energy and matter at all levels is created by and is subordinate to the Omnipresent Universal Mind. Your mind is part of the Universal Mind - the same in kind with the only difference being one of degree. Your reality is a manifestation of your mind. This is true Mind Power. The Law of Correspondence Immutable: The second of the seven Universal Laws tells us "As above, so below; as below, so above". This means that there is "harmony, agreement and correspondence" between the physical, mental and spiritual realms. There is no separation since everything in the Universe, including you, originates from the One Source. The same pattern is expressed on all planes of existence from the smallest electron to the largest star and vice versa. The Ancient Greek Temple of Apollo at Delphi was referring to this great Law of Correspondence in the inscription "Know thyself and thou shalt know all the mysteries of the gods and the Universe". The Law of Vibration Immutable: The third of the seven Universal Laws tells us that "Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates". The third and last of the immutable Universal Laws, tells us that "the whole universe is but a vibration". Science has confirmed that everything in the Universe, including you, is pure energy vibrating at different frequencies. Everything that we experience with our five physical senses is conveyed through vibrations. The same applies to the mental realm. Your thoughts are vibrations. All your emotions are vibrations where "unconditional love" in the sense of love for another is the highest and most subtle of the emotional vibrations and "hate" is the densest and most base. You can learn to control your mental vibrations at will. This is true thought power. The Law of Polarity Mutable: The fourth of the seven Universal Laws tells us that "Everything is dual, everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree". It is also the first of the mutable or transcendable Universal Laws. It means that there are two sides to everything. Things that appear as opposites are in fact only two extremes of the same thing. For instance, heat and cold may appear to be opposites at first glance, but in truth they are simply varying degrees of the same thing. The same applies to love and hate, peace and war, positive and negative, good and evil, yes and no, light and darkness, energy and matter. You can transform your thoughts from hate to love, from fear to courage by consciously raising your vibrations. This is what in the ancient Hermetic Teachings is called the Art of Polarization. Rising Above the Law of Polarity: This Principle of Duality may appear to be very real in your life but it operates only in the physical and mental realms, not in the spiritual realm where All is One. By always placing the all-powerful, all-knowing Great Spirit of which you are a part behind your every thought, statement and action, and by always focusing on the "good", even when things appear to be going "bad", then Page 7

8 in time you will rise above the Law of Polarity. The Law of Rhythm Mutable: The fifth of the seven Universal Laws tells us that "Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates. This principle can be seen in operation in the waves of the ocean, in the rise and fall of the greatest empires, in business cycles, in the swaying of your thoughts from being positive to negative and in your personal successes and failures. In accordance with this Law, when anything reaches a point of culmination then the backward swing begins almost unnoticeably until such time that any forward movement has been totally reversed, then the forward movement begins again and the process is repeated. Rising Above the Law of Rhythm: To transcend the swing of the pendulum, you must become aware of the subtle start of the backward movement in any of your endeavours whether it be to improve your health, your finances, your relationships or any goal you may set in motion. When you feel the Law start to draw you back do not become fearful or discouraged. Instead, knowing that you are one with the Omnipotent Universal Mind for which nothing is impossible, keep your thoughts focused on your outcome and fight to remain positive no matter how far back this transitory Law pulls you. Even if your efforts meet with failure, find comfort that by virtue of this very same Law, the upward motion must start again. In time, your perseverance will be rewarded as the backward movements become less negative relative to your previous backward swings and you raise yourself higher. The Law of Cause and Effect Mutable: The sixth of the seven Universal Laws tells us that "Every cause has its effect; every effect has its cause. This is the essence of thought power. Every one of your thoughts, words or actions sets a specific effect in motion which will come to materialize over time. To become the master of your destiny, you must master your mind for everything in your reality is a mental creation. Know that there is nothing like chance or luck. They are simply terms used by humanity in ignorance of this Law. Your Intentions are Instantly Created: The Law of Cause and Effect applies on all three planes of existence - the spiritual, the mental and the physical. The difference is that on the spiritual plane cause and effect are instantaneous such that they appear inseparable, whereas on the other planes our concept of time and space creates a time lag between the cause and the eventual effect. Know that when you focus on your chosen goals with intention using creative visualization, that which you want to create in the physical world is automatically manifested in the spiritual world, and with perseverance, practice and continued concentrated thought, it will also come to materialize in the physical world. The Law of Gender: The last of the seven Universal Laws tells us that "Gender is in everything; everything has its masculine and feminine principles". This mutable Universal Law is evident throughout creation in the so-called opposite sexes found not only in human beings but also in plants, minerals, electrons and magnetic poles to name but a few. Everything and everyone contains both masculine and feminine elements. Among the outward expressions of feminine qualities are love, patience, intuition and gentleness and of masculine qualities are energy, self reliance, logic and intellect. Know that within every woman lie all the latent qualities of a man, and within every man those of a woman. When you know this you will know what it means to be complete. The Law of Attraction as Part of the Equation: You will notice that the Law of Attraction is not specifically mentioned as one of the seven Universal Laws. This is not to diminish its importance but rather to highlight it because the Law of Attraction is the basic Law of the Universe which runs through all the seven Universal Laws discussed here. It holds everything together. It is through the knowledge of the Law of Attraction that one can rise above the mutable Laws of Polarity and Rhythm and gain a better understanding of each of the seven Universal Laws. This article draws largely on two sources of incomparable wisdom on the seven Universal Laws. 9 Chapter 6 : Powerful: Reiki&The Law Of Attraction - Reiki Vibes One of these laws is known as the "Law Of Attraction", or the law of "Reaping and Sowing". This law simply states, whatever you give out in Thought, Word, Feeling, and Action is returned to us. The Seven Hermetic Principles In another post, I explained that law of attraction is not a true law, but only half of the Law of Polarity, which is the 4th Law of the 7 Hermetic principles. His teachings act as the lowest common denominator in all religions of the world. The Principle of Mentalism. The Principle of Correspondence. The Principle of Vibration. The Principle of Polarity. The Principle of Rhythm. The Principle of Cause and Effect. The Principle of Gender. These Seven Principles will be discussed and explained as we proceed with these lessons. A short explanation of each, however, may as well be given at this point. This Principle embodies the truth that "All is Mind. An understanding of this great Hermetic Principle of Mentalism enables the individual to readily grasp the laws of the Mental Universe, and to apply the same to his well-being and advancement. The Hermetic Student is enabled to apply intelligently the great Mental Laws, instead of using them in a haphazard manner. With the Master-Key in his possession, the student may unlock the many doors of the mental and psychic temple of knowledge, and enter the same freely and intelligently. This Principle explains the true nature of "Energy," "Power," and "Matter," and why and how all these are subordinate to the Mastery of Mind. One of the old Hermetic Masters wrote, long ages ago: Without this Master-Key, Mastery is impossible, and the student knocks in vain at the many doors of The Temple. The Principle of Correspondence "As above, so below; as below, so above. This Principle embodies the truth that there is always a Correspondence between the laws and phenomena of the various planes of Being and Life. The old Hermetic axiom ran in these words: There are planes beyond our knowing, but when we apply the Principle of Correspondence to them we are able to understand much that would otherwise be unknowable to us. This Principle is of universal application and manifestation, on the various planes of the material, mental, and spiritual universe--it is an Universal Law. The ancient Hermetists considered this Principle as one of the most important mental instruments by which man was able to pry aside the obstacles which hid from view the Unknown. Its use even tore aside the Veil of Isis to the extent that a glimpse of the face of the goddess might be caught. Just as a knowledge of the Principles of Geometry enables man to measure distant suns and their movements, while seated in his observatory, so a knowledge of the Principle of Correspondence enables Man to reason intelligently from the Known to the Unknown. Studying the monad, he understands the archangel. The Principle of Vibration "Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates. This Principle embodies the truth that "everything is in motion"; "everything vibrates"; "nothing is at rest"; facts which Modern Science endorses, and which each new scientific discovery tends to verify. And yet this Hermetic Principle was enunciated thousands of years ago, by the Masters of Ancient Egypt. This Principle explains that the differences between different manifestations of Matter, Energy, Mind, and even Spirit, result largely from varying rates of Vibration. The vibration of Spirit is at such an infinite rate of intensity and rapidity that it is practically at rest--just as a rapidly moving wheel seems to be motionless. And at the other end of the scale, there are gross forms of matter whose vibrations are so low as to seem at rest. Between these poles, there are millions upon millions of varying degrees of vibration. From corpuscle and electron, atom and molecule, to worlds and universes, everything is in vibratory motion. This is also true on the planes of energy and force which are but varying degrees of vibration ; and also on the mental planes whose states depend upon vibrations ; and even on to the spiritual planes. An understanding of this Principle, with the appropriate formulas, enables Hermetic students to control their own mental vibrations as well as those of others. The Masters also apply this Principle to the conquering of Natural phenomena, in various ways. The Principle of Polarity "Everything is Dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; extremes meet; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled. This Principle embodies the truth that "everything is dual"; "everything has two Page 9

10 poles"; "everything has its pair of opposites," all of which were old Hermetic axioms. It explains the old paradoxes, that have perplexed so many, which have been stated as follows: It explains that in everything there are two poles, or opposite aspects, and that "opposites" are really only the two extremes of the same thing, with many varying degrees between them. Heat and Cold, although "opposites," are really the same thing, the differences consisting merely of degrees of the same thing. Look at your thermometer and see if you can discover where "heat" terminates and "cold" begins! There is no such thing as "absolute heat" or "absolute cold"--the two terms "heat" and "cold" simply indicate varying degrees of the same thing, and that "same thing" which manifests as "heat" and "cold" is merely a form, variety, and rate of Vibration. So "heat" and "cold" are simply the "two poles" of that which we call "Heat"--and the phenomena attendant thereupon are manifestations of the Principle of Polarity. The same Principle manifests in the case of "Light and Darkness," which are the same thing, the difference consisting of varying degrees between the two poles of the phenomena. Where does "darkness" leave off, and "light" begin? What is the difference between "Large and Small"? Between "Hard and Soft"? Between "Black and White"? Between "Sharp and Dull"? Between "Noise and Quiet"? Between "High and Low"? Between "Positive and Negative"? The Principle of Polarity explains these paradoxes, and no other Principle can supersede it. The same Principle operates on the Mental Plane. Let us take a radical and extreme example--that of "Love and Hate," two mental states apparently totally different. And yet there are degrees of Hate and degrees of Love, and a middle point in which we use the terms "Like or Dislike," which shade into each other so gradually that sometimes we are at a loss to know whether we "like" or "dislike" or "neither. Many of you, who read these lines, have had personal experiences of the involuntary rapid transition from Love to Hate, and the reverse, in your own case and that of others. And you will therefore realize the possibility of this being accomplished by the use of the Will, by means of the Hermetic formulas. In short, the "Art of Polarization" becomes a phase of "Mental Alchemy" known and practiced by the ancient and modern Hermetic Masters. An understanding of the Principle will enable one to change his own Polarity, as well as that of others, if he will devote the time and study necessary to master the art. The Principle of Rhythm "Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates. This Principle embodies the truth that in everything there is manifested a measured motion, to and fro; a flow and inflow; a swing backward and forward; a pendulum-like movement; a tide-like ebb and flow; a high-tide and low-tide; between the two poles which exist in accordance with the Principle of Polarity described a moment ago. There is always an action and a reaction; an advance and a retreat; a rising and a sinking. This is in the affairs of the Universe, suns, worlds, men, animals, mind, energy, and matter. This law is manifest in the creation and destruction of worlds; in the rise and fall of nations; in the life of all things; and finally in the mental states of Man and it is with this latter that the Hermetists find the understanding of the Principle most important. The Hermetists have grasped this Principle, finding its universal application, and have also discovered certain means to overcome its effects in themselves by the use of the appropriate formulas and methods. They apply the Mental Law of Neutralization. They cannot annul the Principle, or cause it to cease its operation, but they have learned how to escape its effects upon themselves to a certain degree depending upon the Mastery of the Principle. In this and similar methods, consist the Art of the Hermetists. The Master of Hermetics polarizes himself at the point at which he desires to rest, and then neutralizes the Rhythmic swing of the pendulum which would tend to carry him to the other pole. All individuals who have attained any degree of Self-Mastery do this to a certain degree, more or less unconsciously, but the Master does this consciously, and by the use of his Will, and attains a degree of Poise and Mental Firmness almost impossible of belief on the part of the masses who are swung backward and forward like a pendulum. The Principle of Cause and Effect "Every Cause has its Effect; every Effect has its Cause; everything happens according to Law; Chance is but a name for Law not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the Law. The Hermetists understand the art and methods of rising above the ordinary plane of Cause and Effect, to a certain degree, and by mentally rising to a higher plane they Page 10

The masses of people are carried along, obedient to environment; the wills and desires of others stronger than themselves; heredity; suggestion; and other outward causes moving them about like pawns on the Chessboard of Life. But the Masters, rising to the plane above, dominate their moods, characters, qualities, and powers, as well as the environment surrounding them, and become Movers instead of pawns. They USE the Principle instead of being its tools. In this statement there is condensed a wealth of Hermetic knowledge--let him read who can. The Principle of Gender "Gender is in everything; everything has its Masculine and Feminine Principles; Gender manifests on all planes. No creation, physical, mental or spiritual, is possible without this Principle. An understanding of its laws will throw light on many a subject that has perplexed the minds of men. The Principle of Gender works ever in the direction of generation, regeneration, and creation. Everything, and every person, contains the two Elements or Principles, or this great Principle, within it, him or her. This week therefore we will take a closer look at the seven primary and fundamental Universal Principles that really are "Principle" to the workings of the Universe to which we are all subjected. These Principles are listed in no particular order of importance: The Principle of Mentalism This Principle embodies the truth that the entire Universe is an infinite living Mind, Universal Mind, and Consciousness, of which everything and everyone is an integral aspect. Everything in the Universe in all of its dimensions or spheres exists within the infinite living Universal Mind, and this living Mind, in which we live and move and have our Being might truly be called "God", The First Cause, or Source Energy. This has to be the case in order to maintain a perpetual state of balance, harmony and Universal equilibrium. The Principle of Correspondence is most aptly represented by the famous axiom "as above, so below". The Principle of Vibration The basis of the Principle of Vibration is that everything in the Universe is constantly in motion. Nothing ever rests for a single moment. Vibration is, in fact, a characteristic of Energy, a fact which quantum physics is now rapidly coming to accept as the fundamental basis of the laws of the greater Universe. The Principle of vibration also explains the differences between all manifestations of matter, Energy, and Spirit, all of which are ultimately pure vibration, or Energy. Everything from the highest aspect of God, pure Spirit, the very highest manifestation of vibration of all, all the way out to the physical world of matter are degrees and manifestations of vibration or Energy, all within the infinite Universal Mind. This Principle also provides for the fact that there are no absolutes in nature. For example, when people refer to "hot" or "cold", these are not absolutes. They are rather degrees of hotness and degrees of coldness relative to, or in comparison with each other. There are therefore no extremes, but rather only degrees of the same thing.
