7 Ministry Opportunities Pinewood Derby ADULTSIZED When: Saturday August 25, 2018 Where: EBC Fellowship Hall Who: Any 18+ Adult who wants to Create from a block of wood, bring back from the depths of storage, take off the trophy shelf or even sneak out from their kids room a Pinewood Derby Car and race it against other like-minded adults and their cars. Purpose: To have a fun event to close out the summer with your favorite EBC peeps. To help nurture the community we call family. To comfort those who will lose and to congratulate those who will have earned bragging rights. Some important things to take note of 1. IF you would like to race a car in this event you need to visit the table in FH as soon as possible to sign up. 2. IF you need a pine car kit you need to visit the table in FH to sign up and let us know. 3. IF you would like to know the Rules for this event you need to visit the table in FH to pick up a copy. 4. IF would like to just come, watch the races and hang out with others there is no need to sign up. 5. IF you would like to invite family and friends, by all means invite them! 8 Fall Worship Schedule On Sunday, September 9 th we will continue with one 9:30 AM worship service. After, there will be a brief time for fellowship at 10:45 AM, then Sunday School for all ages will start at 11:00 AM. Sunday School Registration Sunday School, for all ages is due to start this September. No registration is needed for adult Sunday school, but if you have a nursery though 12 th grade student, you need to register your child. Sunday School will start at 11:00 AM on Sundays. 10 EBC Youth Ministry Opportunities Friday Hangout will continue every Friday through the summer 2:30 PM - 5:00 PM. The Missions Team is ready to do yard work for a donation to help victims of Hurricane Harvey. Even though we aren t going anymore, this will help fund important work that needs to be done. P. Mike s Book Club. If you re interested in reading a book with P. Mike and joining an every-other week book club to discuss it, order Don t Waste Your Life by John Piper, and let Mike know when it s arrived. The Sub Sale has been postponed to sometime in August.
