Marriage of Antoine Davignon and Thérèse Cloutier She was born 2 May 1773 in Assumption / Sandwich. They had 11 children. She was buried 2 January 1814 in St Antoine, River Raisin. He was buried 22 April 1828 in St Antoine, River Raisin [Denissen, Vol. I, p. 74]. Prior to 1 July 1796 Antoine Beauregard owned 360 arpents on the River Raisin known as private claim #461. He sold to Jacques Lasselle who filed the claim [American State Papers, p. 451]. 1

Dazet Roitel Family: Joseph Dazet, son of Jean Dazet and Marguerite Duperrier, was born in France in He married Catherine Roitel, daughter of Joseph Roitel and Louise d Arrancher, 9 September 1804 in St. Antoine, River Raisin. She was born in France in He was buried 1 April 1836 in Detroit. She was buried 18 July 1841 in Detroit [Denissen, Vol. I, p. 333]. Joseph Dazet filed a claim to one arpent on the River Raisin known as private claim #652. The land had been part of a larger tract of land owned by Pierre Solo who sold to Bourdeaux dit Laderoate who sold to Amable St. Cosme who sold to Joseph Dazet [American State Papers, p. 520]. François Delaille he cannot be identified. Owned #468 filed claim Delière or Deslières dit Bonvouloir Pelletier Family: Jean Baptiste Delière or Deslières dit Bonvouloir, son of Joseph Delière and Véronique Denis, was born 6 March 1771 in Assumption / Sandwich. He married Monique Pelletier, daughter of André Pelletier and Suzanne Ouellette, 6 February 1809 in Assumption / Sandwich [ Drouin Collection, D, Détroit, L Assomption de Sandwich de Windsor, , Image 13]. Laselle who filed the claim [American State Papers, p. 461]. Deloeil Sordelier Family: François Deloeil, son of François Michel Deloeil and Charlotte Jolin, married Ursule Sordelier, daughter of François Sordelier and Marie Jeanne Gendron, 1 May 1793 in Ste Anne du Détroit. François Deloeil was a blacksmith [ Drouin Collection, D, Détroit, Ste-Anne, , Image 196]. Marriage of François Deloeil and Ursule Sordelier She was born 20 October 1773 in Assumption / Sandwich. They had 13 children [Denissen, Vol. I, p. 342]. On 15 October 1788, François Deloeuil was one of those who petitioned Bishop Jean François Hubert, coadjutor of Québec, for a priest for the settlement of River Raisin [Tucker and Au, pp ]. 3

Demers Lemay Family: Pierre Demers, son of Jacques Demers and Marie Madeleine Chevalier, was baptized 12 September 1755 in Fort St. Joseph [ Drouin Collection, S, St-Joseph-de-Michigan, , Image 16 this is an addition to Denissen which does not provide a birth or baptismal date or location]. He married Marie Angélique Lemay, daughter of Théophile Lemay and Marie Angélique Pelletier, 5 May 1783 in Assumption / Sandwich [ Drouin Collection, D, Détroit, L Assomption de Sandwich de Windsor, , Image 17]. He married Marie Anne Bourgeat dite Provençal, daughter of Pierre Bourgeat dit Provençal and Catherine Vallée, 8 February 1811 in Ste Anne du Détroit. She was born 11 November They had four children. She was buried 29 September 1819 in Détroit [Denissen, Vol. I, p. 620]. He married Élisabeth Rousson, daughter of Jean Baptiste Rousson and Josette Drouillard, and widow of Benjamin Lepage dit Métayer, 18 February 1824 in Ste Anne du Détroit. She was born 20 March 1797 in Détroit. They had four children. He was buried 16 August 1834 in Détroit [Denissen, Vol. I, pp ]. Russell did not include Alexis Labadie in her transcription of the 1796 census. There was only one person in the household, thus precluding his father from being the person enumerated. Descompt dit Labadie Robert Family: Médard Descompt dit Labadie, son of Pierre Descompt dit Labadie and Thérèse Gaillard dite Lyonnais, was born 9 January 1776 on the southwest coast of Détroit. He married Marie Thérèse Robert, daughter of Antoine Robert and Thérèse Drouillard, 13 May 1799 in St. Antoine, River Raisin. They had 11 children. She was buried 18 April 1846 in Monroe. He was buried 24 April 1846 in Monroe [Denissen, Vol. I, pp ]. Prior to 1804 Médard Labadie owned 72 acres of land on the River à la Savatte known as private claim #356. He filed the claim [American State Papers, p. 418]. Medard Labady was enumerated as a resident of Raisin River in the 1796 census [Russell, p. 66]. Descompt dit Labadie Gaillard dite Lyonnais Family: Pierre Descompt dit Labadie, son of Pierre Descompt dit Labadie and Angélique Lacelle, was born 5 September 1742 in Détroit. He married Thérèse Gaillard dite Lyonnais, daughter of Hippolyte Gaillard and Marie Josèphe Debiens, in She was born 26 May 1746 in Montréal. They had nine children. He was buried 15 April 1823 [Denissen, Vol. I, pp ]. On 15 May 1786, the Potawatomi granted a tract of land measuring three arpents on the River Raisin by approximately 100 arpents to Pierre [Descompt dit] Labadie. The land bordered land previously granted to Jean Baptiste [Romain dit] Sanscrainte and the widow of Alexis Campeau [Tucker and Au, p. 110]. 5

On 25 September 1797, he sold the property to Alexis Badi Labadi who filed the claim [American State Papers, p. 320]. François Desforges he cannot be identified. Filed private claim #594 Pierre Deslauriers he cannot be identified. Pierre Delaurier was enumerated as a resident of Au Sable River in the 1796 census [Russell, p. 68]. Owned #538 François Desnoyer he cannot be identified with certainty. Filed private claim #632 Desplans Revau dite Lajeunesse and Trudel and Goyau Families: Jacques Desplans, son of Jean Baptiste Desplans and Marie Josèphe Rocheleau, was born 8 February 1765 and baptized the following day in Montréal [Lafrance note this is a correction to Denissen which states he was born in 1765 and does not give a location]. He married Françoise Revau dite Lajeunesse, daughter of Jean Louis Revau dit Lajeunesse and Marie Josèphe Guignard dite Saint-Étienne, 4 February 1788 in Assumption / Sandwich 6

She was buried 24 July 1804 from Ste Anne du Détroit [Denissen, Vol. I, p. 362]. He married Marie Josèphe Trudel, daughter of François Trudel and Marie Josèphe Bigras dite Fauvel, and widow of Henri Larose, 1 February 1813 in Ste Anne du Détroit. She was born 6 July 1783 in Détroit. They did not have any children. She was buried 6 July 1813 from Ste Anne du Détroit [Denissen, Vol. I, p. 362]. He married Marie Goyau, widow of Jacques Prudhomme, 30 October 1814 in Ste Anne du Détroit. They did not have children. He was buried 4 December 1820 from Ste Anne du Détroit [Denissen, Vol. I, p. 362 erroneously states that she was the daughter of Guillaume Goyau]. Jacques Desplats was enumerated as a resident of Raisin River in the 1796 census [Russell, p. 66]. Devault Gravel Family: Louis Devault married Marguerite Gravel. Their parents and their marriage date are not known and do not appear in PRDH or Lafrance. They had at least one son. He was buried 8 December 1804 in St. Antoine, River Raisin [Denissen, Vol. I, p. 363]. Deveaux was enumerated as a resident of Raisin River in the 1796 census [Russell, p. 66]. Sarah Dormond she cannot be identified. Filed private claim #79 Doucet Fontaine Family: Pierre Doucet, son of Jean Doucet and Louise Delage dite Lavigueur, was born and baptized 26 September 1765 in Québec [Lafrance this is a correction to Denissen which states he was born in 1768 and does not provide a location]. He married Élisabeth Fontaine, daughter of Charles Fontaine and Élisabeth Godfroy, 7 March 1791 in Ste Anne du Détroit 7

He was buried 20 January 1810 in St. Antoine, River Raisin [Denissen, Vol. I, p. 366]. Filed private claim #57 Drouillard Quesnel and Langlois Families: Charles Drouillard, son of Jean Baptiste Drouillard and Marie Charlotte Bigras dite Fauvel, was born 10 August 1756 and baptized Bonaventure Charles the following day in Ste Anne du Détroit [ D, Détroit, Ste-Anne, , Image 66 this is a correction to Denissen which states that he was born 11 August 1756]. He married Marie Louise Quesnel, daughter of Jacques Quesnel and Marguerite Morel de La Durantaye, 19 October 1778 in Assumption [ Drouin Collection, D, Détroit, L Assomption de Sandwich de Windsor, , Image 33]. 8

They had eight children born at Assumption / Sandwich, Sandusky, Ohio, and River Raisin [Denissen, Vol. I, p. 370]. He married Marie Langlois, daughter of François Langlois and Marie Madeleine Prudhomme, and widow of Étienne Robidou, 4 May 1818 in Ste Anne du Détroit. They did not have any children [Denissen, Vol. I, p. 370]. Prior to 1 July 1796, Charles Drouillard owned 100 arpents on Otter Creek known as private claim #366. He sold the property to Joseph Chattebraux who sold it to Jean Duseau who filed the claim [American State Papers, p. 420]. Prior to 1 July 1796, Charles Drouillard owned 80 arpents on Otter Creek known as private claim #403. He filed the claim to this property [American State Papers, p. 433]. Prior to 1 July 1796, Charles Drouillard owned 320 arpents on the River Raisin known as private claim #510. He sold the property to François Durgeot who sold it to François Cattin who filed the claim [American State Papers, p. 467]. Prior to 1 July 1796, Charles Drouillard owned a piece of property on the River Raisin with three arpents on the River and in the rear by unallocated lands known as private claim #612. He sold the property to François Durgeot who sold it to Gabriel Godefroy, Jr., who filed the claim [American State Papers, p. 501]. Drouillard Jahan dite Laviolette Family: Dominique Drouillard, son of Jean Baptiste Drouillard and Marie Charlotte Bigras dite Fauvel, was born 9 November 1764 on the south coast of Détroit. He married Marie Josèphe Jahan dite Laviolette, 9

10 daughter of Étienne Jahan dit Laviolette and Judith Prudhomme, 17 April 1790 in Ste Anne du Détroit [ Drouin Collection, D, Détroit, Ste Anne, , Image 136]. Marriage of Dominique Drouillard and Marie Josèphe Jahan dite Laviolette She was born 27 September 1773 in Assumption / Sandwich. They had 11 children. She was buried 14 September 1813 from Ste Anne du Détroit. He was buried 9 March 1824 in St. Antoine, River Raisin [Denissen, Vol. I, p. 371]. Prior to 1 July 1796, Dominique Drouyard owned 120 arpents on Otter Creek known as private claim #359. He filed the claim [American State Papers, p. 419]. Prior to 1 July 1796, Dominique Drouillard and Chatelreaux owned six hundred acres on the River Raisin. They sold the land to Israel Ruland who filed the claim [American State Papers, p. 475]. 11 Jean Baptiste Drouillard, son of Jean Baptiste Drouillard and Marie Charlotte Bigras dite Fauvel, was born 27 January 1755 on the Côte de Misère and baptized in Détroit. He married Marie Charlotte Drouin, daughter of Joseph Drouin and Charlotte Campeau, 6 November 1780 in Assumption / Sandwich [ Drouin Collection, D, Détroit, L Assomption de Sandwich de Windsor, , Image 40]. Marriage of Jean Baptiste Drouillard and Marie Charlotte Drouin She was born 15 December on the South Coast of Détroit. They had seven children. She died before 1809 [Denissen, Vol. I, p. 370]. He married Élisabeth Gagné, daughter of Jacques Gagné and Josette Larchevêque, 19 June 1809 in River Raisin. Civil magistrate Israel Rutland married them. Their marriage was ratified 18 July 1810 in St. Antoine, River Raisin. She was born 21 December 1783 and baptized 6 July 1784 in Ste Anne du Détroit. They did not have any children. He sold the land to John Askin, Jr., who sold it to Richard Pattinson who filed the claim [American State Papers, pp ]. He sold the property to Jean Monmini who sold it to Jean Baptiste Lasselle who filed the claim [American State Papers, p. 424]. Bte Drouillard was enumerated as a resident of Rivière au Loutres (Otter Creek) in the 1796 census [Russell, p. 68]. Drouillard Montminy Family: 11

He married Agathe Montminy, daughter of Louis Jean Montminy and Agathe Amable Prudhomme, 9 November 1789 in Ste Anne du Détroit [ Drouin Collection, D, Détroit, Ste Anne, , Images ]. On 15 October 1788, Joseph Drouyard was one of those who petitioned Bishop Jean François Hubert, coadjutor of Québec, for a priest for the settlement of River Raisin [Tucker and Au, pp ]. Prior to 1 July 1796, Paul Campeau, Joseph Drouillard, and Francis Campeau owned 120 arpents on Otter Creek known as private claim #382. They sold one tract of the land to Joseph Hyrague. Jacques and Francois Lasselle as administrators of Hyrague s estate filed the claim [American State Papers, p. 424]. Prior to 1 July 1796, Joseph Drouillard owned approximately 300 acres on River Raisin known as private claim #537. He sold the land to Joseph Réaume who sold it to Israel Ruland. Ruland filed the claim [American State Papers, p. 475]. Prior to 1 July 1796, Joseph Drouillard owned 100 arpents on Rivière aux Loutres known as private claim #608. François Soudriette testified that Drouillard remained on the property until about 1803 when he left the land. Antoine Lafontaine took possession of the land for two years. Lafontaine sold it to Antoine Guy who remained on the property for two years. Drouillard filed the claim; the decision of the Board was postponed [American State Papers, pp ]. Josh (Joseph) Drouillard was enumerated as a resident of Raisin River in the 1796 census [Russell, p. 66]. Drouillard Montminy Family: Nicolas Drouillard, son of Jean Baptiste Drouillard and Marie Charlotte Bigras dite Fauvel, was born 21 December 1759 on the south coast of Détroit. He married Marie Louise Montminy, daughter of Jean Louis Montminy and Agathe Amable Prudhomme, 6 February 1794 in Ste Anne du Détroit [ Drouin Collection, D, Détroit, Ste Anne, , Image 213]. 13

Nicholas Drouillard was enumerated as a resident of Raisin River in the 1796 census [Russell, p. 66]. Jean Dubeau he cannot be identified Filed private claim #519 Dubois Lacelle Family: Etienne Dubois, son of Alexis Dubois and Marie Charlotte Gibeau, was born 14 August 1745 in Montréal [Denissen, Vol. I, p. 415].
