Introduction The story of Deuteronomy Chapter 7 is actually the part two of a greater story. The part one begins in Exodus Chapter 1 and concludes in Exodus Chapter 14. This is where we are bonded and born in Sin, at one point in our lives, we are squashed in bondage and our soul cries to God. God comes down personally and starts the process of rescuing us. The process takes many times going back and forth like the 7 plagues, Satan releases then pulls back, after a time we are released in full and start our journey with Christ and just when we think we are saved a final trial appears like the red sea, with which are completely redeemed. You can be born in a Christian family knowing God or be a new soul. You may have fought many battles in your life, Alcoholism, Smoking, Sins of the flesh, Gambling, Anger, theft, Physiological battles and many forms of bondage. The process you come out of it will not be easy, you may go through cycles of cure and then being pulled back in again, finally God will release you. Then when you think you are free, the final trial will come out of no where again, in a force that you never imagine existed, like the red sea trial. God will bring you out of that and that will be your final battle with the old past life of yours. Now after you go on the journey towards the promised land, you will encounter 7 nations which is explained in Deuteronomy Chapter 7. These 7 nations you will only encounter after the red sea trial. In it is important to note this as the 7 nation which is the 7 type of Spirits which particularly attack only saved Christians These will be 7 nations mightier and stronger than you, but don t fear God will help you destroy them completely. There are a few commands God gives which we need to follow though. May God give you the grace to understand, meditate and follow the slides as he did for me. 4 Deu 7:1 When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;

Deu 7:1 When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, When (i.e. Promise) the chapter start off with the word when, in other words, God has said when it happens, do the subsequent things. It is a certainty, care to note that the chapter does not start with IF the Lord Land (i.e. Goal) We have a heavenly goal which is to dwell with Jesus, this life is a journey towards that Goal Goest (i.e. Walk/Path) The 7 nation we will encounter as we journey towards the above goal, this will happened after salvation which is explained in Exodus chapt 1-14 Possess (i.e. Victory/Crown) Jesus assures us the Victory at the end, read Heb 12:12 and hath (i.e. It is done) God s word does not say and will and has meaning it has already been done, it is past tense not future or present. It is complete! Hittites Sons of terror Subliminal torments, phobias, terror, depression, deceit Girgashites Clay dwellers Amorites Mountain people; renowned Canaanites Lowlands people Perizzites Focus on earthliness, unbelief in what cannot be seen Obsession with earthly fame and glory, domineering Addictions, perversions, exaggerated people-pleasing Belonging to a village Limited vision, laziness, low self-esteem Hivites Villagers Vision limited to enjoying an earthly inheritance, hedonism Jebusites Threshers Suppression of spiritual authority in fellow believers, legalism The verse explain fours key elements, a promise, a goal, a path (or process) which occurs in-between the promise and goal and finally topped off with a victory. Isn't that beautiful! WORLDLY FEAR UNBELIEF and LOGIC ORIENTED WORLDLY SUCCESS SEEKING PEOPLE PLEASING LAZY and LOW SELF ESTEEM SPIRITUAL LY DEAD LAW WITHOUT LOVE Promise Goest 7 Nations Goal Possess Seven types of demons which are all internal (or within) demons which effect a saved Christian. All the 7 will attack internally meaning the inside the heart of a Christian. Each demon will vary in attack LEVELS based on the person, Some may have the effect of a particular demon much more than others. However every Christians who is saved will face these demons and will over come them, as mentioned in verse 1. This overcoming is past tense fact based on the word of God (it is done). We need to do a few things as we will see

Some interesting facts about the 7 nation (Spirits) All 7 Nations (Spirits) you encounter in your journey after salvation All spirits are inward meaning in the heart or mind Self Righteousness Very common spirit on long time expert Christians. This Spirit was common in the Pharisees. Luk 18:-14 Fear Gen 3:10 is a result of Sin. In this Sinful work this is the number one Spirit we have to battle Unbelief Christianity is a life of faith, we believe in what we cannot see Heb 11:1, this is one of the subtle spirit who emerges often in our lives All spirits attack Christians or Jesus s children All spirits cannot be defeated instantly for our own good (Deut 7:22) Earthly satisfaction Being happy with our earthly abode and comforts Heb 11:14-16 failing to seek the Kingdom of God. Many shallow Christians are effected by this spirit 7 Nations (Spirits) Fame and Glory The world teaches this as a norm, earthly success. Very common spirit which is everywhere, God taught is how to keep it at our feet. Mark 8:33 and Mat Chapt 6 explains All Spirits are stronger than us (Deut 7:1) meaning we cannot defeat without God s help Lazy Spiritual laziness, we have limited time on this earth which has to be used carefully. Read article on wordwillsave.com now there arise. This is a discreet spirit Addictions One of the most common spirits today, the world is becoming a complex place to live with many addictions around every corner. 2 Ti chapter 3 By version i Released on Dec 8 th 2012

Deu 7:2 And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:

seven nations greater and mightier than thou; Deu 7:2 And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them: Note the words greater and mightier Meaning already established and well rooted prior to the Israelites coming to these areas. These were already formed and were well set formidable nations by themselves. Lot of people take these 7 nation nations lightly! know them and be careful of them, they are not to be taken lightly. Without God s help, we have no chance against them, as they are greater and mightier than us. Only with God s help can be over throw them, without God s help they can cripple our spiritual lives and destroy us. So lets us know what we are up against! Already established Note the word when, same as when we started the chapter meaning it is going to happen and done, not IF Note the word deliver them it is quite powerful, God will defeat them, subdue them, control them, bond them, package them and deliver them to us. Like job is done and handed over in a platter. What more do we need from a mighty God! But we have certain things to do, as we see from the next worse. Defeated and delivered Smite = Charge and Attack, Strike with force Utterly Destroy = Completely Eradicate Make no covenant = Ignore pleas and don t negotiate Nor show mercy = Show no sympathy or Pity Four commands Smite Utterly Destroy Make no covenant Nor show mercy Attack with full force and vigor Eph 6:11-18 explains the spiritual soldier and how one has to equip and go to war Read article on wordwillsave.com on Soldier of Christ Don t leave anything behind, no residue, complete destruction is needed. Saul did not completely destroy the Amalekites and was rejected as King by God (1 Sam chap 15) When you start attacking the demons for example fear, don t leave anything behind in your life, so that you don t give a chance for the demon to come back. Be very careful not to compromise on the 7 demons. you may say, how can I do it, I will keep a little margin, after all I am living in the world, I cannot be too holy, all these are compromises and making covenants, don t do that! Even request or pleas for covenants may come from friends and family. Be careful! Never have mercy or sympathy for any Spirit, they will destroy you given a chance, don t show ANY mercy, all 7 demons are destructive. Be absolutely intolerant and vicious towards these demons. Example the people pleasing attitude demon has to be destroyed, don t have any soft corner you have to only please God. Follow God s word.

Deu 7:3 Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son. Deu 7:4 For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly. Deu 7:5 But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire. Deu 7:6 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

Remnants Deu 7:3 Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son. Remnants = Marriages Do not marry the balance from defeat. Residues of destructions don t gather and own. God knew there will be a small balance although he has given instruction on verse 2 and he clearly says don t marry them Reasons Deu 7:4 For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly. Reasons = Turn away Unity like marriage brings overtime slow deterioration, so we have to abandon the 7 demons, if not slowly they can creep back in if we marry them (example King Solomon wives infected him with pagan God s) Reiteration Deu 7:5 But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire. Reiteration = Destroy Stressing and repetition, whenever God wanted is to follow something he repeated the commands which we can see in the life of Joshua and Abraham. He repeated here as well to show the importance. Four commands Revelation Deu 7:6 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. Revelation = Holy People God gives the revelation as to why we should destroy the 7 nation. Because we are chosen as holy and special and we are above all other people. Our calling is the highest! Destroy their altars break down their images cut down their groves burn their graven images Altars are places of sacrifice or covenant places. As we destroy the 7 demons we have to identify the place where the demons are rooted and destroy these altars. In a practical sense this may avoiding some people or sinful places Images are places of remembrance. As we tackle the 7 demons any area which you think will bring back remembrance of the particular demons you have to destroy them from your life. Don t look back at your past life like Lot s wife. Groves are pillars or monuments erected We need to examine our live and see whether we have erected monuments for the 7 demons. These have to be cut down immediately. Do we have sinful objects or habits in our home or lives? Remove them Graven images are carved images of Gods in other words idols. Do we have idols of 7 demons in our lives, if so let us pray and burn these by the spirit. Examine your day ro day life and see for idols.

Deu 7:7 The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:

Deu 7:7 The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people: Clarification of selection Worldly logic is negated Opposite to logic is selected We always think that we have something special within us, seen or unseen and that is why we are selected to be his children. In fact God clarifies our selection very clearly here, he does not chose like man does. 1 Sam 16:7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart. Clarifying selection Usually in a worldly sense more in number means more in power / preference / favor / strength In fact God clearly says that he was not impressed with our numbers or strength! So lets be humble as we unworthy in every sense Jdg 7:2 And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me. Not high God says I did not choose your because of you size or strength in fact you were the smallest or weakest, isn't that funny, we are the most weak and God chose is to make us greater! So let us leave all our holy pride behind as we are the worst of every human lot out there. It is only because of the grace of God we were chosen 2 Sam 7:18 Then went king David in, and sat before the LORD, and he said, Who am I, O Lord GOD? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto? In fact low God s selection Preferred (Worthy) Worldly standard line (normal) Deferred (Unworthy)

Deu 7:8 But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

Deu 7:8 But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Already completed (Loved - past tense) he had already Loved you! Even before you were born, even before the earth was formed. He knew you by name and choose you! Nothing happened to you by chance it was all pre planned, the course was already chartered by the author and finisher of your faith Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Already completed Biblical and Hereditary There are two aspects here,, one is biblical and one is hereditary. Biblical is based on the promises of the Bible and the latter is actual people, every one of has our story of how God raised people to pray for us. Without their prayers we will not be here. We are nothing, we must be humble and thank to God and the people who prayed for our salvation. Gen 50:24 And Joseph said unto his brethren, I die: and God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the land which he sware to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. Already promised Brought you out (led you out) Mighty hand (Miracles to look back) Redeemed (purchased / permanent) Out of (Released from power to new country) Four transitions Brought you out (led you out) Psa 32:8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. God beautifully brought of our of our previous miseries, it was a beautiful story, lets us remember that always, it the story of our salvation Mighty hand (Miracles to look back) God shook Egypt with his miracles, why? Because he wanted Israelites to remember and look back to the wonders of is power. In our lives too it very important to remember our trials and the way God dealt them with a mighty hand. Ex 3:19 (NIV) But I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go unless a mighty hand compels him. Redeemed (purchased / permanent) Rev 5:9 For thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood We have been purchased permanently, there is no going back or forth. The papers have been signed, We should know our places of citizenship which is in Christ Released from power to new country/state Our old self is dead, there is a shift from the bond house to freedom of the plains. We are free in Christ, from the law and from Sin and from the World. Phil 3:20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ

Deu 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations; Deu 7:10 And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.

Deu 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD Know 1 John 2:20 (NIV) But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth To understand under the anointing of Lord Jesus. In other words seeking the power of the holy spirit with prayer to understand the word of God thy God Three portraits Our own Psa 23:1 The lord is MY shepherd it is a personal relationship one on one the faithful God Always faithful 1Co 1:9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations; he is God Alpha and Omega Rev 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Promise God promises us two things here; his covenant and Mercy and you need to do two things love him and keep his commands Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. His covenant and mercy will last a 1000 years, your children's children will benefit Deu 7:10 And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face. Our only enemy is Satan Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 17 Deu 7:11 Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them. Deu 7:12 Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers: Deu 7:13 And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee. Deu 7:14 Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle. Deu 7:15 And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee. Deu 7:16 And thou shalt consume all the people which the LORD thy God shall deliver thee; thine eye shall have no pity upon them: neither shalt thou serve their gods; for that will be a snare unto thee.

The Blessings (exemplified in Duet 28:1-14) Deu 7:11 Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them. Deu 7:13 And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee. Commandments A rules to be strictly observed Statutes A set of rules of a body or governments to be followed Deu 7:14 Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle. Judgments Past decisions or conclusions to be observerd Deu 7:12 Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers: Repetition as in verse 9, is where God stresses a point by repeating. So lets carefully observe and do as this verse. We can see that is Joshua Chapt 1 where God says to Joshua 3 times of not be a afraid. That is God stresses a point. Repetition as in verse 9 and 12, is where God stresses a point by summarizing and repeating. Note the word SNARE Read Joshua Chapt 6-7 and see Achan s Sin Where when Jericho Falls God gives specific commands and says if you don t adhere to them you will create yourself a snare Josh 6:18 NIV But keep away from the devoted things, so that you will not bring about your own destruction by taking any of them. Otherwise you will make the camp of Israel liable to destruction and bring trouble on it. Note the word liable to destruction we will head into a snare if don t hearken to the word here.

Deu 7:17 If thou shalt say in thine heart, These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them? Deu 7:18 Thou shalt not be afraid of them: but shalt well remember what the LORD thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt; Deu 7:19 The great temptations which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby the LORD thy God brought thee out: so shall the LORD thy God do unto all the people of whom thou art afraid.

Deu 7:17 If thou shalt say in thine heart, These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them? Three golden rules of warfare Heart = first doubt is in the heart not in the word or action of ours, it is very important not think in our hearts that we will loose. More = the weakness of looking at numbers or literal comparison in a worldly way, fewer we feel easier to defeat more and we get scared How = imagining a plan in our minds when God requires only faith. Psycho analysis, don t think! Just follow God s rules. God has already given you the victory. Importance of thought! Deu 7:18 Thou shalt not be afraid of them: but shalt well remember what the LORD thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt; Remember Psa 77:11 I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old. We have our miracles along the way which got us here to this place. We have the Bible which teaches us about the wonderful works of God. It is important to remember these works and it will give us renewed energy and courage. Thou shall not be afraid BUT so lets not waste time fearing instead (but) remember the works of God Not fear but remember! Deu 7:19 The great temptations which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby the LORD thy God brought thee out: The wonders and miracles When I look at my own life as the author of this article, it is full of wonders of how I was a prisoner of sin but God led me out. You will have your own list of stories. We have many books and stories of how God has touched people who are so near to us. We have seen these miracles with our own eyes as we came out of Egypt (Process of Salvation) Let us remember these mighty acts which the Lord did in out lives, in our loved ones lives. Look at the wonders and miracles Don t fear in heart Look back and remember so shall the LORD thy God do unto all the people of whom thou art afraid. All above verses are fine but you are now afraid, that is reality God says, don t worry, I know now you are afraid, but I will do these things anyway in your life! Although you fear now Anyway I will defeat The wonders and miracles Isn't that beautiful! The verse loops back to vs 17, simple meaning you may be scared, but don t be scared, instead look back in your life and see the wonders, and I will defeat the enemy, which you are now afraid of

Deu 7:20 Moreover the LORD thy God will send the hornet among them, until they that are left, and hide themselves from thee, be destroyed. Deu 7:21 Thou shalt not be affrighted at them: for the LORD thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible. Deu 7:22 And the LORD thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee. Deu 7:23 But the LORD thy God shall deliver them unto thee, and shall destroy them with a mighty destruction, until they be destroyed.

Deu 7:20 Moreover the LORD thy God will send the hornet among them, until they that are left, and hide themselves from thee, be destroyed. The Lords terror is described here, which cannot be explained by words, Satan and his spirits will see Lord s terror first hand. In Exodus 23:28, "I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite," etc. (Joshua 2:11; Deuteronomy 2:25), so that they will flee as if before a swarm of hornets. So "bees" (Deuteronomy 1:44; Psalm 118:12). Don t worry about how the Lord will do it, he will do it, each Hornet will defer in plan, size and ferocity but God will send then and rescue you God will use his power like hornets Deu 7:21 Thou shalt not be affrighted at them: for the LORD thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible. Heb 12:20 (For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart: Heb 12:21 And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:) Sometime we forget that our Lord can be a terror to his enemies. A crocodiles jaw can be a haven for it s hatchlings or a terror for it s victims. Such is our God s power and terror too. Dual side of God Deu 7:22 And the LORD thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee. 2Pe_2:10-12 But these, as natural brute beasts The complete context of this versus explains the beasts as people who have vile tongues who can hurt you with Words. We encounter such people who have no authority to touch us (vs 24) but stand in our life's fences and shout words of vile and brute words to disturb us. At fences only because they don t have power to enter our lives but they can stand at the fences and shout and irritate. Hence God knows how to balance the defeat and phase our victory. Keeping beasts at bay Deu 7:23 But the LORD thy God shall deliver them unto thee, and shall destroy them with a mighty destruction, until they be destroyed. But = means above versus does not matter, you will not have any effect by these because God has destroyed and has handed over to you (Promise/prediction) By version i Released on Dec 8 th 2012

Deu 7:24 And he shall deliver their kings into thine hand, and thou shalt destroy their name from under heaven: there shall no man be able to stand before thee, until thou have destroyed them. Deu 7:25 The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the LORD thy God. Deu 7:26 Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.

Summary of command is given here again. God says destroy their name from under the heaven. We have to take these 7 nations or spirit very seriously as you can see God detests them and we should not take them lightly but be a good soldier of Christ and we should destroy them. Our life long quest should be to destroy the spirits and ensure they are not allowed to rise again through friends and family. We do not need to fear in battle as God says here no one can stand before us as the power of God is with us. Final reiteration We should never desire anything with is associated with the 7 nations or spirits. These are worldly desire and if we desire them it will become a snare onto us. We should not be like Lot s wife who while fleeing Sodom and Gomorra desired and looked back and became a pillar of salt. Lets us run away from these spirits and their associations. Don t desire or covert any silver or Gold (valuables in them) Example one spirit is earthly fame and glory, with that might come worldly success (valuables) like the one Saturn said he will give Jesus if he worships him (temptation trial). So lets be careful not to bow down to these spirits Don t desire the nations Our house is our body and our body is the house of God 1 Cor 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God Let us be careful not bring any of these associations into our body, sould and spirit, for God detests the 7 nations and it s associations. Be careful what you see and hear, don t let he 7 spirits send anything on your house Amen Don t defile your house By version i Released on Dec 8 th 2012
