(take heed exercise attention) Don t let your hearts be dulled by carousing and drunkenness, and by the worries (distracting cares, prodding cares) of this life. Don t let that day catch you unaware, 35 like a trap. For that day will come upon everyone living on the earth. 36 Keep alert at all times (never let your soul go to sleep while on post). And pray that you might be strong enough to escape these coming horrors (avoid, to miss, to not be present) and to stand before the Son of Man. The world that you and I live in, claims to have a high-value for the truth. Our secular culture prides itself on demanding accuracy and honesty when investigating an issue, but is that what we see coming out of our culture, or our institutions? Our culture, our society, even the so called Christian is guilty today of interpreting the truth of God in light of how we feel, how we think God should rule on a particular issue, or conduct Himself as God. The God of the Bible is Predictive and Prophetic, Revealing to us that He not only knows the future, but desires to share that information with us, for our good. Isaiah 45:21b-22 Who foretold this long ago (he is exclusive), who declared it from the distant past? Was it not I, the LORD? And there is no God apart from me, a righteous God and Savior; there is none but me. 22 Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other. A Church, a Christian without a Prophetic Biblical Worldview cannot understand neither the person of God, nor how to live his life for his God. That sad reality today within evangelicalism is giving way to an Emotionally Based Theology; a reinventing of theology and a redefining of who and what God is. Hath God Really Said, is in the ears of many today. Culture and our leaders are, in a way, Creating a god in their own Image and unless the Church stands up and re-assumes her rightful place as the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth, there will be no hope for the lost of this world. They will have no place to run to in the day of trouble. They will have no place to be found. A man-made theology is nothing less than Intellectual dishonesty and spiritual suicide which is perhaps the purest form of Idolatry. A god, carved out of our culture, one that conveniently approves of everything we want, when we want it and how we choose it to be, is in fact Godlessness. On the 1

2 wave of this cultural storm the Bible says a man will arise, unlike any other the world has ever seen and he will ride that wave to global popularity! 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. It will deify the humanity of man And we shouldn t be surprised by this. Under Satan s deception through the charisma of the antichrist, there will be such advancements in technology, in wealth, such power, that man will begin to think of himself as more than just a man a god-man. It s no secret to the careful Bible student, that Satan has always, from the beginning, sought to lead man astray by introducing a false worship system - an aberration of spiritual pursuits. He understands the craving that is within the human heart to fill man s desire to be spiritual. Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, Has God indeed said, You shall not eat of every tree of the garden? (The introduction of doubt) 2

3 Satan is the inventor of false doctrine(s), which gives birth to false religion(s), which generates a false map(s), which leads you to being lost What Happened in That Garden Anyway? Answer - Mankind Decided to Go It Alone. Eve Knew Better. She had the right doctrine, but she didn t {keep} her soul in line with what she believed. Our mom, (lady eve), chose to embrace a new religion a kind of religion that placed mankind in the center, a kind of religion that was of man, by man, for man, with his own little trinity of Me, Myself and I. Together we can accomplish anything! We know several things about this new religion that is to come. According to the book of Romans it will incorporate the worship of nature, but it will also promote man s next evolutionary leap self deification! 2 Thessalonians 2:4 he (a/c) who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped as god, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God... and the people will love it!!! He will attempt to unify the world s religions. Proving That Lucifer is the quintessential wannabe The world will hail him as the god-man. They will have no problem believing that he has in fact evolved into a deity. He will pervert the God-ordained act of worship and reface it. by savvy speech, devilish wisdom & technological brilliance, the false prophet, and the antichrist and Satan will create a multi-media marvel. it will be a high-tech, bio-robotic creation. it will be called the image Satan is in the place of the father. The Anti-Christ is his son, and the False Prophet mimics the work and ministry of the Holy Spirit. Daniel 11:21 He will be a contemptible person who has not been given the honor of royalty. He will invade the kingdom (Israel) when its people feel secure (the treaty), and he will seize it through intrigue. (by lies, by smooth flatteries, by compliments) Daniel 8:24 He (a/c) will become very strong, but not by his own power (satan s). He will cause astounding devastation and will succeed in whatever he does. He will destroy the mighty men (rulers of the world) and the holy people. (the believers) 4

It will win people over by the powers of hell Daniel 8:25a And through his policies he will cause deception (to cause lies to succeed, to willfully make false statements to beguile, to misrepresent and to falsify, to act with treason or treachery). to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, he will destroy many through peace: 2 Thessalonians 2:9a The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan Now this is very interesting, because miraculous signs have always been around. When Moses confronted the false prophets of Pharaoh, both Moses and the false prophets were able to produce miracles. There have always been miracles reported among pagan worshipers and occult practitioners. So then - what makes it a God ordained miracle? It is the doctrine to which it is connected to. It s the doctrine - the teaching that either qualifies or disqualifies the miraculous when judged against the Bible. There will increasingly arise an anti Judeo-Christian attitude in the world. Revelation 17:6 I saw the woman (the false church of the last days), drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus Revelation 20:4b Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark all those who will not receive his name, the mark or his image will be Beheaded, not strangled, not starved, not hung Revelation 13:6-7 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. :7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. When God punishes the world for their sins Isaiah 26:20-21a 20 Come, my people, enter your chambers, And shut your doors behind you; Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, Until the indignation is past. 21 For behold, the LORD comes out of His place To punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity; Isaiah 13:9-11 Behold, the day of the LORD comes, Cruel, with both wrath and fierce anger, To lay the land desolate; And He will destroy its sinners from it. 10 For the stars of heaven and their constellations will not give their light; The sun will be darkened in its going forth, And the moon will not cause its light to shine. 11 I will punish the world for its evil, And the wicked for their iniquity; Why would God do this? Because He s fair // He s right // Because He s just (you re into fairness, you judge what is right and wrong every day. You re into justice right?) A Time is Coming on Earth Unlike Any Other 3c.) When God redeems His people Israel When God spoke to the prophet (Daniel) about the Last Days, He made it perfectly clear that at that time, all the nations of the world would generically be affected by the tribulation judgements - but only one nation would be the focal point, the key player, the very epicenter Israel! Jeremiah 30:7-8 Alas! For that day is great, So that none is like it; And it is the time of Jacob s trouble, But he shall be saved out of it. Jeremiah 31:31-33 Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel 32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke 33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. So What s The Point? - Here s the Point! The Point Is that there is a real and present spirit that is in the world, of the world, and its influence is growing. There is only one way for you to combat and survive its pull on your 6

7 life and the lives of those you love and care about - - it s the supernatural power of God s word the Bible as it is by the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit. 1 John 2:22-23 Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. :23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either. 1 John 4:3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. Why has God given us this in the Bible? (1) To encourage us TODAY to share with others while there is still time. (2) For those living IN THOSE DAYS, that they might have confidence in God. So what should be our response to these things?
