1 A written Creed of His Holy Church I believe in the Father, 1 1 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. Matthew 5:45 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:48 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 6:1 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. Matthew 6:4 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. Matthew 6:6 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
