1 Filled: Holy Spirit John 14:15 17 (NLT) If you love me, obey my commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate,* who will never leave you. 17 He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn t looking for him and doesn t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. Will CALL FOR VIDEO- Our ability to relate to and understand the language of God and His purpose for our lives is through Holy Spirit- 1 Corinthians 2:9 10 (KJV) But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. Our ability to carry out the assignment on our lives is through the Holy Spirit- Acts 1:8 (KJV) But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Our ability to connect to God in our worship must be expressed through this most Holy Spirit who is God- John 4:24 (KJV) God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. First Encounter- The Spirit of God hovered over the face of creation prior to humanity- Genesis 1:1 2 (NLT) In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Fellowship by Spirit- Genesis 3:8 (KJV) And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. Ephesians 2:18 (KJV) For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. 1

Heavens Opened- Genesis 7:11 (KJV) In the six hundredth year of Noah s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. Heavens Shut after the flood- Genesis 8:2 (KJV) The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained; No Rest- Genesis 8:8 9 (KJV) Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground; 9 But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark. Communication by Angels- Hebrews 2:2 (KJV) For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; (Acts 7:53) Abraham and Angels- Jacob wrestles with Angel, Moses at burning bush with Angels- Samsons parents, Gideon etc. Hebrews 1:14 (NLT) Therefore, angels are only servants spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation. Ministry Emerges- Luke 4:1 (KJV) And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, Close: Luke 4:14 (KJV) And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. 2

3 Gift to Everyone- Acts 2:38 39 (KJV) Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. Just Ask- Luke 11:13 (NLT) So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him. 3

4 Session Two: Filled: It s a Sign Matthew 3:11 (KJV) I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: Prophecy of the coming Spirit- John 7:37 39 (KJV) In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) The Marriage Covenant: Between Now and Then- John 14:1 3 (KJV) Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 1. The Choice John 13:18 (KJV) I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me. Ephesians 1:4 (KJV) According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Ref. Believe- Philip- John 14:8 9 (KJV) Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. 9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Expect- Judas (Not Iscariot) - John 14:22 23 (KJV) Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 3. The Agreement John 14:13 15 (KJV) And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. Ephesians 1:6 7 (KJV) To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; 4. The Down payment Bridal Gift. A. Another Comforter- 1 John 2:1 (KJV) My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: B. No Orphans- John 14:18 (KJV) I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. The word comfortless is a translation of the Greek word orphanos, and it is where we get the word orphan. C. Signed, Sealed and Delivered- Ephesians 1:13 14 (KJV) In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of 5

6 promise, 14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. Close: Matthew 22:3 4 (KJV) And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. 4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage Matthew 22:8-10 (KJV) Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. 9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. 10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. The Return- Mark 13:32 33 (KJV) But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. 33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. Marriage Supper- Revelation 19:7 9 (KJV) Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. 9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. 6
