4 4 The Lord leads us by still waters (Psalm 23:2) We are to drink of the river of thy pleasures; the fountain of life (Psalm 36:8, 9) Wellspring of wisdom is as a flowing brook (Proverbs 18:4) Christ is the fountain of living waters (Jeremiah 2:13) Christ is the fountain opened for sin and for uncleanness (Zechariah 13:1)

9 9 Whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst never crave the world s advantages and attractions but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up unto everlasting life (Letter 5, 1900). (5BC )

11 11 Drink deep of the well of salvation. Go to the fountain for yourself, that you may be filled with refreshment, that Jesus may be in you a well of water, springing up unto everlasting life. (FE 127)

12 The words of God are the wellsprings of life. As you seek unto those living springs you will, through the Holy Spirit, be brought into communion with Christ. Familiar truths will present themselves to your mind in a new aspect, texts of Scripture will burst upon you with a new meaning as a flash of light, you will see the relation of other truths to the work of redemption, and you will know that Christ is leading you, a divine Teacher is at your side. 13 13 Jesus said, The water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. John 4:14. As the Holy Spirit opens to you the truth you will treasure up the most precious experiences and will long to speak to others of the comforting things that have been revealed to you. (MB 20.2)

14 14 Give, and it shall be given unto you ( Luke 6:38); for the word of God is a fountain of gardens, a well of living waters, and streams of Lebanon ( Song of Solomon 4:15). (MB 20)

15 15 The heart that receives the word of God is not as a pool that evaporates, not like a broken cistern that loses its treasure. It is like the mountain stream, fed by unfailing springs, whose cool, sparkling waters leap from rock to rock, refreshing the weary, the thirsty, the heavy-laden. (PK 233.3)

16 16 The truly converted soul is illuminated from on high, and Christ is in that soul a well of water springing up into everlasting life. His words, his motives, his actions, may be misinterpreted and falsified; but he does not mind it because he has greater interests at stake. He does not consider present convenience; he is not ambitious for display; he does not crave the praise of men. His hope is in heaven, and he keeps straight on, with his eye fixed on Jesus. He does right because it is right, and because only those who do right will have an entrance into the kingdom of God. (5T 569.1)

17 17 Christ presents to us who are athirst the water of life, that we may drink freely; when we do this we have Christ within us as a well of water springing up into everlasting life. Then our words are full of moisture. We are prepared to water others. (6T 51.2)

18 18 The bird slain [Lev. 14:4ff] was over living water; that flowing stream was a symbol of the ever flowing, ever cleansing efficacy of the blood of Christ, the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world, the fountain that was open for Judah and Jerusalem, wherein they may wash and be clean from every stain of sin. (Lt )

19 19 This [the life cleansing, life sustaining blood, appropriated by living faith] is represented as the pardoning blood, inseparably connected with the resurrection and life of our Redeemer, illustrated by the ever flowing stream that proceeds from the throne of God, the water of the river of life. (Lt )
