1 FEDERAL ELECTION All attention by the radio, MPs, etc is focused on the Federal Election to be held on Saturday 2 July This election has two new elements which will have a major impact on the election result: The first is a Double Dissolution Election where voters will elect twelve new Senators, not six which is the normal number. Electing 12 new Senators instead of 6 reduces the quota required to be elected by 50%. The second important new element is the new Senate voting system. The old system allowed political parties to manipulate the preferences, which allowed micro party candidates to be elected with only 400 primary votes. Hopefully this new system, where voters select their own preferences, will result in Senators being elected who are qualified and have a vision for Australia s future. Such Senate Candidates have been nominated by our Christian Democratic Party and deserve to be elected, as they will truly serve our Australian Nation under Almighty God. 2. QUEEN ELIZABETH II A MODEL SERVANT OF THE PEOPLE We congratulate Queen Elizabeth II on her 90 th birthday and the way she has fulfilled her promise in 1953 to give her life to serve the people and the Commonwealth of Nations, including our Nation of Australia. Our Christian Democratic Party is the only political party that is committed to support our Constitutional Monarchy because it has given great stability to our Australian democracy. However, we face a major threat from both the future Prime Ministers of Australia who strongly support an Australian Republic that is Malcolm Turnbull (Liberal) and Bill Shorten (ALP). They both, if elected as Prime Minister, will implement a republic, even though a republic was soundly rejected by the Australian people - even while a republic was supported by all the media, TV, newspapers and political parties. If necessary, our Christian Democratic Party will defeat any future referendum for a republic, with Almighty God s help, for our Australian Nation s future. God Save the Queen! 3. FINAL MOBILISATION IN THIS LAST WEEK a) Please PRAY for a great victory on 2 July But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (I Corinthians 15:57) b) VOLUNTEER to help on your local polling booth to hand out CDP How to Votes. c) RECRUIT your friends, neighbours, church members, workmates etc to join with CDP in this final week to help give us a positive result: Distributing How to Votes in letterboxes, shopping centres, at bus stops and railway stations; Ringing talk-back radio stations especially 2GB, 2UE, ABC, etc and tell them why you are voting for the Christian Democratic Party. Putting up CDP corflute posters in your street, shopping centres, etc. Lastly handing out How to Votes at your local polling booth 1

2 d) RING YOUR HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE CANDIDATE and offer your support and get your materials to help in your local polling booths. (Candidate contact details on are the CDP webpage e) RING AND SUPPORT YOUR STATE SENATE CANDIDATES Sydney, NSW: Nella Hall Phone: Melbourne, VIC: May Hanna or call May on Brisbane, QLD: Wayne Solomon Phone: Perth, WA: Dr Mark Imisides or call Mark on Adelaide, SA: Matt Attia Phone: Hobart, TAS: Silvana Nero-Nile Phone: Canberra, ACT: Rev Dr David Kim Phone: Darwin, NT: Carol Ordish or call Rev Hon Fred Nile and wife Nella Hall, NSW Senate Candidate Dr Ross Clifford Address CDP Christian Democratic Party with Tasmanian Candidates Launch Day at the Head office 4. D DAY DEATH OF MARRIAGE DAY MONDAY 10 OCTOBER 2016 The 10 October 2016 is the day the ALP opposition leader Bill Shorten has promised to legalise marriage between two homosexual men. He will do it 100 days after and if he is elected as Prime Minister on 2 July We need to trust the Lord God s support as we campaign to keep His institution of marriage between a male and a female. God s Holy Will was revealed in Genesis 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. Our Lord Jesus Christ quotes this same verse when questioned about marriage: And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made [them] at the beginning made them male and female (Matthew 19:4). The reality is TWO MEN can never become ONE. Only a husband and wife, in a loving relationship, can become one flesh as they are blessed by Almighty God and conceive new life - their sons and daughters. TWO MEN can never conceive a child. 5. AGGRESSIVE ATTACKS ON CHRISTIANITY In former years, anti-christian political parties and organisations would IGNORE the churches. 2

3 However, the tide has changed. We are now experiencing outright AGGRESSION against Christianity, churches and Christians. The anti-christian Sex Party has launched an aggressive attack on churches: It recently quote: Declared war on the Catholic Church as representing all churches. The ALP and Greens have also announced they will remove all exemptions for churches and Christians from anit-discrimination laws. They will completely ignore the right of all Christians to obey their conscience under God s guidance. The Greens candidate in Hobart has laid complaints against Archbishop Julian Porteous under the Tasmanian Anti-discrimination Laws. Silvana and I said we would use this issue in the Federal Election, so the Greens have dropped their complaint against the Archbishop. 6. NATIONAL PARTY RESTRAINS MALCOLM TURNBULL Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce is standing for New England. Tony Windsor, who helped elect the ALP Julia Gillard Government, is trying to defeat Barnaby Joyce. Voters should NOT trust Tony Windsor or Oakshot or Katter who are trying to get elected so they can again oppose the Turnbull Government if it is elected on 2 July XENOPHON IS NEW POLITICAL PARTY His new party is polling high results in recent surveys and could win up to three Senate seats. The big question is, what does the Xenophon Party stand for? Can it be trusted? Would his new party obstruct the Turnbull Government as previously occurred in the Senate? This new party has shown no interest in the major moral issues. There are also media reports of his party concerning financial investments. Finally, as we face Election Day 2 July 2016, we call on all voters to put the Christian Democratic Party Number 1 on the Senate and House of Representatives Ballot papers and vote YOUR OWN Senate preferences such as Liberals 2, National Party 3, Family First 4, ALA 5, S F Farmers 6, AC 7, etc. For the House of Representatives you have to vote for EVERY candidate Vote 1 for our Christian Democratic Party candidate and 2 for Liberal/National Party as the best of two choices. May the Lord richly bless you and your family and give our CDP candidates victory on 2 July COMING EVENTS Christian World View Forum NSW Parliament House Theatrette Speaker Mr Stan Goodenough Subject the Destiny of Nations - God, Israel & Australia When - Monday 25 th noon Let us claim the Victory in Christ - But thanks be to God who gives us the Victory through Our Lord Jesus Christ. 4 God, Israel & Australia July 2016 The Destiny of Nations A Call from Jerusalem to Australia 2017 is the centenary of the ANZAC liberation of Beersheba and in 2017, Israel and our ANZAC nations are headed for a convergence of 6 historic and prophetic events that will never again be repeated. At the Battle of Beersheba, ANZACs spearheaded the British Empire s attack that ended 400 years of Islamic control over the Land of Israel and opened the way for the Jews national return to their ancient homeland. Six weeks later, General Allenby walked into Jerusalem and the city of Messiah was liberated from Islam. Stan Goodenough s message to our nations is the call to align with God s restoration of national Israel people to land and land to people (Joel 3) so the sacrifice of the lives of the ANZACs is not in vain. 12 Monday noon 25 July Macquarie Room Parliament House Macquarie Street, Sydney Hosted by Rev Hon Fred Nile Cost: $15.00 per person includes afternoon tea A freewill offering will be taken to cover expenses RSVP to Judy Russell or judyrussell.private@gmail.com church of the good shepherd Tuesday 26 July pm for 7.30pm Ryedale Room Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club 117 Ryedale Road, West Ryde Hosted by Pastor Robyn Peebles Cost: $10.00 per person includes a light supper A freewill offering will be taken to cover expenses RSVP by Mon 11 July to Pastor Robyn Peebles or rep.klmi@idx.com.au Stan Goodenough is a South African gentile who has lived in Jerusalem for a quarter of a century.
