2 That the ministry of William Branham qualifies as that of a major prophet, thus fulfilling Malachi 4:5-6 and Revelation 10:7, should be abundantly clear to any who take time to even briefly investigate its magnitude and impact.

3 Excerpt from Gordon Lindsay s "A Man Sent From God" "The story of the life of William Branham is so out of this world and beyond the ordinary that were there not available a host of infallible proofs which document and attest it's authenticity, one might well be excused for considering it far-fetched and incredible. But the facts are so generally known, and of such a nature that they can be so easily verified by any sincere investigator, that they must stand as God's witness to His willingness and purpose to reveal Himself again to men as He once did in the days of the prophets and the apostles. The story of this prophet's life for he is a prophet, though we infrequently use the term indeed witnesses to the fact that Bible days are here again".

4 Branham s importance Wherever he went, God proved that Brother Branham is the prophet to this generation. Like Job, the Lord talked to him in a whirlwind. Like Moses, the Pillar of Fire was seen leading him. Like Micaiah, he was reviled by the clergy. Like Elijah, he was a man of the wilderness. Like Jeremiah, he was commissioned by an Angel. Like Daniel, he saw visions of the future. Like the Lord Jesus, he knew the secrets of the heart. And like Paul, he healed the sick.

6 William Branham Branham was born April 6, 1909 in a log cabin near Burksville, Kentucky (the eldest of nine children) and was raised near Jeffersonville, Indiana. His family was nominally Roman Catholic and as per Branham, his father was an alcoholic and the family lived in poverty. Branham claimed that in childhood he received special visions from God and supernatural experiences.

7 As a newborn William Branham s mother was 15 years of age, and his father was 18 years of age. When William Branham was born something rather unusual happened on that day a few rays of light shone into the room and a huge halo, one foot in diameter appeared above William s mother and baby. Because of this his mother took him to a Baptist church in the local community. That was the first and the last time he went to church in years. 8 The first vision At the age of three, Brother Branham received his first vision. From the vision, he knew to tell his mother that though they now lived in Kentucky, some day they would live near a city called New Albany. It was not long after, that the family moved from Kentucky across the Ohio river to Indiana and a little later moved further south to Jeffersonville, Indiana, which is just a few miles from New Albany, Indiana. The vision was fulfilled.

9 At 7 years old A large poplar tree, and the remains of another poplar that was struck by lightning, still stand close to Wathen's barn on the Utica Pike near Jeffersonville. September 1916 was the first time that William Branham 'heard' the Angel speak under this tree. The Angel told young William of the Commission he was ordained to fulfill in these Last Days. 10 Childhood visions Two weeks after the vision under the tree, young William had a horrifying vision while playing marbles with his brother. In this vision, Branham could see 16 men plunging to their deaths in the Ohio River. 22 years later, precisely 16 men would tumble into the Ohio River and drown as the result of a bridge accident, the bridge connecting Louisville and Jeffersonville. A chance visit to a carnival resulted in a fortune teller informing young Branham that There is a light following you and that he was born under a sign for a Divine call.

11 From Baptist to Pentecostal Branham left home at 19 and found work as a boxer and cowboy in Arizona. At 22, he experienced a conversion and became an Assistant Pastor at a Baptist Church in Jeffersonville. Disagreements with the Baptists over the role of women led Branham to begin his own revival operations and by 1933 he had founded the Branham Tabernacle.

12 William Branham Early in Brother Branham s Ministry, it became clear that the denominational system was built to further religious organizations, and not the true Gospel. Brother Branham believed the Bible word for word, and would not compromise, even if it meant being ostracized from his colleagues, friends, or family. While still a member of the Missionary Baptist Church, he was told to ordain women ministers. He knew the Scriptures well. I Timothy 2:12 plainly says, But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence, and I Corinthians 14:34 says, Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak When the ultimatum was given, he could not compromise and left the church.

13 The devastating death of his wife and child At this time William Branham was married and had a baby daughter. Many family members and other ministers warned him not to associate with the Jesus Only cult for this group did not believe in the Trinity amongst other thing. Branham must have broken away from then for later when his Wife and baby daughter died in 1937 from Tubercular Meningitis he attributed their deaths to the fact that it was because he had not continued in fellowship with the Pentecostals and had missed God s will. 14 The Seven Visions in 1933 The year 1933 was a time of major revelation for Brother Branham and those who followed his Message. It was also in June of that year when Brother Branham was conducting services in the old Masonic Hall on Meggs Avenue in Jeffersonville, that seven major events were revealed to him which were to come to pass before the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. On this June morning, just before he was to preach, this series of visions appeared to him. The first was that the dictator of Italy, Mussolini, would invade Ethiopia, and according to the Voice speaking to him, Ethiopia would fall at Mussolini's steps. However the voice continued and prophesied that there would be a dreadful end come to this dictator. He was to die a horrible death and his own people would literally spit on him. It is all history now how all of this happened. (continued)

15 The Seven Visions The next vision indicated that America would be drawn into a World War against Germany which would be headed up by an Austrian. The prediction was that this terrible war would overthrow this leader and he would come to a mysterious end. In this vision Brother Branham was shown the great Siegfried Line, several years before it was built. The third vision showed that there were three "isms" in the world: Fascism, Nazism, and Communism, and that the first two would come to nothing, but Communism would flourish. The Voice admonished him to keep his eyes on Russia concerning future events, and said, "Watch Russia, she will become a great world power." (continued)

16 The Seven Visions in 1933 The fourth vision predicted tremendous advances in science right after the war. In this vision, he saw automobiles shaped like eggs traveling the American highways. I ask you to look at the advertisements of the Volkswagen today, even comparing it with the shape of an egg and saying, "Some shapes cannot be improved upon!" In 1933, this car had not even been designed. Also he saw a car with a bubble roof, traveling completely automatically down the highway with the driver turned and playing some kind of a game with those in the back seat. The car had no steering wheel. They have such automobiles today, controlled by electronics, which were displayed in the 1962 World's Fair. The fifth vision involved the womanhood of the world. In this vision he was shown the rapid moral decay of the women, starting back when they received their so-called, "liberty" to enter into world affairs by means of the vote. He saw that this right to vote would result in the election, by the women of America, of a "boy" president. (Just remember that Jack Kennedy won his election by the vote of the women). Finally, the vision showed the women stripped practically naked, covered merely with a tiny apron about the size and shape of a fig leaf. (continued)

17 The Seven Visions in 1933 In the sixth vision, there arose in the United States a beautiful woman, clothed in splendor and royal robes, with great power given to her. She was beautiful to look upon, but there was a "hardness about her that defied description." Beautiful as she was, she was cruel, wicked, cunning, and deceitful and dominated the land with her authority holding complete power over the people. The vision indicated that either such a woman would literally arise or that this was merely a type of an organization Scripturally characterized as a woman. Though the Voice did not reveal who she was, Brother Branham felt in his heart that this woman represented the rising Roman Catholic church, and he inserted in parentheses at the end of the vision, which he had written out, the words, "perhaps the Roman Catholic church". Then the Voice bade Brother Branham to look once more. As he turned, he beheld a great explosion which rent the entire land and left America a smoldering, chaotic ruin. As far as the eye could see, there was nothing but craters and smoking piles of debris, with no humanity in sight the seventh vision then faded away.

18 Occult influences? It should be noted (and keep this in your mind at all times) that Branham s parents both believed in fortunetelling (so they were not Christian) and this of course means that William Branham was raised in an occult environment. 19 The beginning By the early 1940s, the now-pentecostal Branham was leading faith-healing services. Other prominent Pentecostals leaders who joined his ministry team including Ern Baxter, Gordon Lindsay, and the well-known F. F. Bosworth. Lindsay founded The Voice of Healing magazine in 1948 which was originally aimed at reporting on Branham's spectacular healing campaigns.

21 When Branham was baptizing 130 converts in the Ohio River, (allegedly) a heavenly light, like a blazing star, appeared above him just as he was about to baptize the seventeenth person... it has also been reported that a voice spoke from within the light, saying, "As John the Baptist was sent to forerun the first coming of the Lord, so you are sent to forerun His second coming..."(the Enigma Of William Branham)

22 The cave Branham frequented a small cave alone near his home for days on end (see Branham s wife went to the cave one time. As per Branham, God spoke to him within this cave.

23 The cave God, sometime or another in Brother Branham's younger life, had led him to a cave which he has spoken of often in his later tapes and said that no man could find it. The cave is furnished by nature as though for his very own use. Inside there is a round rock shaped like a table, another, shaped like a chair, and also a place for a man to lie down and sleep. He put none of this there it simply was there.

25 Prophet s cave All of us have a place we go to when we get in those troubles. I've got a little cave that the FBI couldn't find that I get into. I'll stay in there for two or three days. I have to wade up a creek, and go up over a hill; through a branch, go under a tree and go down into a cave." "What Hearest Thou Elijah?, April 12, 1959.

26 Miraculous healing ability begins According to Branham writings, his ability to heal was a direct gift from God. In May 1946, an angel in the form of a man appeared to him and said, "Do not fear. I am sent from the presence of the Almighty God to tell you that your peculiar birth and misunderstood life has been to indicate that you are to take a gift of Divine healing to the peoples of the world."

27 Branham as Elijah In 1946, Branham received what he came to call his "charge" from the recurrent audible voice. While baptizing converts in the Ohio River, he claims it happened. "And just then a whirl come from the heavens above, and here come that Light, shining down... and It hung right over where I was at. A Voice spoke from there, and said, `As John the Baptist was sent for the forerunner of the first coming of Christ, you've got a... have a Message that will bring forth the forerunner of the Second Coming of Christ'" Not long after the commission as the forerunner of the second coming of Christ, Branham was visited by an angel. He was told that he was being given two ministry gifts. He would receive the gift of healing and the gift of the "word of knowledge." Branham came to believe that this angel was the source of all his visions. Branham inquired of the angel why he should believe he was an angel of God. The angel told him that the religious leaders of Christ's day had called Jesus a devil. He should not worry about the opposition from family and fellow ministers. Branham had been told by fortune-tellers in impromptu meetings that he had a special gift of God and was born under a sign. The angel assured him that even devils had confirmed that Jesus was the Christ and not to be concerned by the testimony of fortune-tellers.

28 As Elijah Branham's followers identified him as the prophetic Elijah of Malachi 4 and the seventh angel of Revelation 10. Speaking of himself, Branham said, "...we are promised a return of that Spirit [Elijah] just before the end-time. He won't start another church, because there is no more church ages to come... because the Laodicea Church Age is the last age, and the messenger of the Seventh Angel,... is the fellow that is going to reveal, by the Holy Spirit, all of these mysterious things... Notice. This last message of the last church age is not a reformer, he is a PROPHET!" (The Seven Seals, pp. 144, 45).

29 William Branham By the early 1950s, Branham s fame was wellestablished; U.S. Congressman William Upshaw, crippled for sixty-six years, proclaimed his miraculous healing by Branham in a leaflet called "I'm Standing on the Promises (see also April/May 1951 issue of The Voice of Healing ). Branham also claimed that God's miraculous intervention healed King George VI of England. A young boy (Kari Holma) raised from the dead in Finland in April 1950, according to Branham, was the fulfillment of a vision he had told audiences about during his campaign meetings.

31 Healings Girl healed and delivered from braces. Caught by the camera in one of the services in Finland, Brother Branham stands by one of the many children whose healing was wrought through his prayers. The little girl is Veera Ihalainen, war orphan, marvelously delivered from having to wear a cruel brace and crutches. (Taken from "A Man Sent From God")

32 Healings This little girl, blind from birth, was healed during the meetings in Karlsruhe, Germany. After Brother Branham had prayed for her, she reached out to touch his tie and ask, "What color is this?" The people began to praise the Lord, and a woman who had been standing beside the platform screamed and rushed forward. "Your my mother!" cried the little girl. "I've never seen you, but I know your voice." (Taken from "Only Believe", Vol 2 No 3.)

33 Healings Brother Braham followed the story he told in Houston, TX., with an account of an old grey headed colored man who in desperation, had earlier stopped him as he was leaving a meeting at Camden, Arkansas. The old man had had his eyes destroyed by an explosion twelve years before. However, just two nights before the meeting, he had seen his mother in a dream, even although she had been dead some twenty years. She was a Christian and in the dream she told him that; "God had sent His gift of Divine healing, and it was at Camden, Arkansas," and "not to let the 'Reverend' go by." After a word of prayer from Brother Branham, the old man with tears rolling down his cheeks, began to bat his eyes, saying to his wife; "Honey, ain't that an automobile setting right there?"

42 Destruction of Los Angeles From the sermon - "Works is Faith Expressed" And then, the last meeting I had in California, while speaking, and didn't know nothing happened till I got on the street, It told California, said-- said, "Capernaum, Capernaum, the city that's called by the name of the angels," (that's Los Angeles) "you've exalted yourself into heaven, but you'll be brought down into hell. For if the mighty works had been done in Sodom that's been done in you, it would have been standing till this day. Now, the last few days, the great roaring and popping. Then, here come out a paper of science, said, "It's all honeycombed, it's got to go under." They just know it. And you watch, the water will come plumb back into the Salton Sea. Los Angeles is doomed for judgment. I tell you before it happens, that you might know when it does happen. I never spoke that by myself. And I've never had Him to tell me one thing but what happened. And you can bear record of that. That's right. When? I don't know.

43 Pillar of Fire Branham claimed that a Pillar of Fire had accompanied him his entire life, from early childhood to the banks of the Ohio River and into his adult life. When I was a baby born up in the state of Kentucky, according to my own dear mother, and which has been vindicated through my life," I said, "there was a Light came in the room of that little old huddle there, where it was at, no floor in it, didn't even have a window, they just had a little old thing for a window there, like a little door, and they pushed it open about five o'clock in the morning, and this Light circled in just as it was breaking day." I said, "Since that time, It's been with me. It's an Angel of God. He met me in person a few years ago. Down through my life, He told me things that's happened, and I have told them just as He told me. And I challenge anybody at any place, to go to the city where I was raised, or anywhere else, that a statement has ever been made in the Name of the Lord, but what come just exactly the way it said it would.

45 "INFLUENCE", preached March 15, 1964: Beyond any shadow of doubt, the claim that was made thirty years ago about a Pillar of Fire that the cameras caught - Your Texas camera caught it not long ago (Jan. 1950). Scientific research throwed it through all kinds of research that they could find by the FBI. How did you do it? Took in Texas for Texans. When you see the sign, it cannot be disproved. It's the truth. But will you believe the voice that follows the sign? The sign is scientifically proved. This would be the first of many unusual photographic proofs of Branham for years to come.

46 In Houston, Texas, in January of 1950, an amazing photograph was taken by the Douglas Studios. In the photograph, there appeared a halo-like Light above the head of Rev. William Branham. The negative was taken to George J. Lacy, Examiner of Questioned Documents for the FBI. His department was asked to determine whether or not the light could have been the result of improper exposure, developing or retouching. This investigation served to completely authenticate the fact that the unusual brightness was definitely caused by a light striking the negative. Mr. Lacy was quoted as saying, "Rev. Branham, you will die like all other mortals, but as long as there is a Christian civilization, your picture will live on."

48 This is not a halo picture in the traditional, denominational sense. This is the same Pilliar of Fire that followed the children of Israel thousands of years ago. The same Pilliar of Fire that Paul heard Christ speak from in his day. The Pilliar of Fire was the vindication that God was with Israel. Now, consider that scripture, that God will do nothing until He first reveals it unto His prophets. Nothing.

51 The cloud Branham s 1963 series of Sermons on the Seven Seals (see Revelation 6:1-17 and Revelation 8:1) would cause his most well-known event. According to Branham, a cluster of seven angels met him on Sunset Mountain in Arizona to commission the opening of the Seals, which he believed was the fulfillment of a vision he had told his church about several months earlier. Two friends who were nearby at the time related hearing a loud noise like an explosion and seeing an unusual cloud rising into the air. Branham interpreted the famous unusual cloud formation (resembling the head of Christ, he suggested) which had been photographed several days earlier over Flagstaff, Arizona, (featured in multiple magazines ) as proof vindication of his experience. The cloud, he said, was formed by the seven angels who met him at Sunset Mountain.

53 The cloud This supernatural cloud formed February 28, 1963 over Arizona and was 26 miles high and 30 miles wide (see williambranhamstorehouse.com). Fred Southmann and Gene Norman met with Branham outside Tucson on March 7, 1963.the following is Southmann s account of that day.

54 Witness of the Visitation of Seven Angels I happened to be privileged in 1963, to be at Sunset Mountain, when that happened out there which Brother Branham tells on tape. Tells all about it before it ever happened, told in Jeffersonville and I believe in Phoenix, and we was out hunting pigs, Brother Gene Norman and myself and Brother Branham. Well we heard this blast it sounded like seven of them planes breaking the sound barrier at the same time, it was such a bang. I thought Mercy, they ll hear that all over the country and, when we come back together, I could see at the very time that that blast went, there was the Pillar of Fire above Brother Branham and I could see that Brother Branham, he looked different and truly he was different and he told Brother Gene and I something that we can t tell but I happened to be privileged to be a witness at seeing this. 55 Sermon on the cloud That Angel met me up there and told me what he did. I stood before heathens by the thousands and tens of thousands. You say, "Aren't you afraid?" No, sir! I'm convinced that It come from God! I'm convinced because it was Scriptural! I'm convinced that It's the Angel of the Lord. I believe it with all that's in my heart. I'm convinced if we would ask God for anything, He'd give it to us. He's just here. Don't be scared. He's here. I'm convinced that that very Spirit that you feel, the Holy Spirit that is moving in us, I'm convinced that that's Christ. Amen! I'm convinced that, right now, that This is what I'm looking at, this Circle of Light before me, I'm convinced that's the Holy Spirit! I'm convinced that vision is over my eyes! I know it is. Amen! I challenge every devil in the world, this hour! He's God. Christ is not just a prophet, He is God, nothing short of it. (continued)

56 Sermon on the cloud What do you think about it, lady? Are you and I strangers one another? You believe me to be His prophet? You do? You have a head trouble. That's right. Your name is Mrs. Moore. If that's right, raise your hand. Go home and be healed. Now, it's (Pillar of Fire) circling the building. The whole building's anointed, the whole place. I'm convinced that the Presence of Jesus Christ will heal every person here. Are you convinced the same? You convinced that I tell you the Truth, God vindicates I'm telling you the Truth? Then I command that you stand to your feet and accept your healing in the Name of Jesus Christ. If you are convinced, raise your hands up to Him and give Him praise.

57 Opposition Branham started off as a Baptist and then changed over to a Oneness Pentecostal. He vehemently denied the Trinity of God and took a strong "Jesus Only" stance in regards to the godhead. This alone places him in the ranks of earlier heretics. The early church fathers fought long and hard battles against those who denied the reality of One God in three distinct persons of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Thus, his Jesus was not the true Jesus of the Bible. Branham also believed he was Elijah the prophet.. This picture is available on the William Branham Homepage and many many other sites on the web. What was more, other people believed him to be the prophet Elijah who was to come before the return of Christ Jesus. Branham was not Elijah, thus we can easily see the depth of the deception working in him and his followers. (continued)

58 Opposition Branham taught a works salvation, not uncommon for most Pentecostals, although his form was rather extreme in regards to dress, make-up, etc. Thus, his doctrine of salvation was not sola gratia, sola fide, sola scriptura as the reformers correctly taught. Branham held to the belief in UFO's and somehow they figure into the end times (which is interesting when one considered the X-Files and Heavens' Gate). He also taught about the great pyramid and its Biblical meaning and significance to his ministry.

59 From God or from Satan? Years ago (William Branham) told his interpreter, Pastor Ruff, "If my angel does not give the sign, I cannot heal." Ruff noticed several features of spiritism in the work of Branham, and therefore stopped working with him. These "angels" of whom (Harry) Edwards and Branham spoke are evil spirits masquerading as angels of light. As in many areas of the occult, we are here reminded again that the devil appears as an angel of light (2 Cor. 11:14) Another evidence is the fact that neither Edwards nor Branham were able to perform cures when faced with born-again Christians who had committed themselves to the protection of Christ. In the case of Branham, I have experienced this myself. When he spoke in Karlsruhe and Lausanne, there were several believers among the audience -- including myself -- who prayed along these lines: "Lord, if this man's powers are from You, then bless and use him, but if the healing gifts are not from You, then hinder him." The result? On both occasions Branham said from the platform, "There are disturbing powers here. I can do nothing." (Kurt Koch, Occult ABC, 1978, p. 235)

60 Branham on self I preached with Moses and war-with Noah and warned the people of the oncoming judgment, to be a real Christian. I was with Moses at the burning bush; I saw the Pillar of Fire; I saw His glory. I was with Moses up there in the wilderness. To be a Christian, I have to be identified with everything God was, to be a Christian. I seen His glory; I heard His voice. Don't try to explain it away from me now, 'cause I was there. I know what I'm talking about. I seen what happened. Yes, sir! I was at the Red Sea when I seen the Spirit of God move down and part the water from one side, through about a ninety foot sea. I seen the Spirit of God. I walked with Moses through that dry ground, across that Red Sea. I stood by Mount Sinai and seen the thunder and lightning falling. I eat manna with them out there. I drank from that Rock; I'm still doing it tonight. I was identified with the manna-eaters. I was identified with them that drunk from the rock. (continued)

61 Branham on self I was with John the Baptist and before them critics. I seen the Spirit of God descending; I heard the voice of God say, This is My beloved Son in Whom I'm pleased to dwell in. Yes, sir! I sure was Identified with him. That's exactly right. I was with the 120 in the Upper Room. I was identified up there with them. Oh, 1-1 feel religious. Amen! I was identified there. I'm one of them. I was identified; I got the same experience they had. I was there when it happened, to be a true Christian. (THE MIGHTY GOD UNVEILED BEFORE US p.27).

65 Branham as Elijah and 1977 as the end of the world See, immediately after the coming of THIS Elijah, the earth will be cleansed by hate and the wicked burned to ashes. Of course, this did NOT happen at the time of John (the Elijah for his day.). (THE MESSAGE TO THE LAODICEAN AGE p.13). That this age will, end around 1977., I base this prediction on seven major continuous visions that came to me one Sunday morning in June, The Lord Jesus spoke to me and said that the coming of the Lord was drawing nigh, but that before He came, seven major events would transpire. (THE MESSAGE TO THE LAODICEAN AGE, p.29). I still maintain this prediction after thirty years because, Jesus DID NOT say no man could know the year, month, week or day in which His coming was to be completed. So I repeat, I sincerely believe and maintain as a private student of the Word, along with divine inspiration that 1977 ought to terminate the-world systems and usher in the millennium. 68 Branham on Jesus Jesus was created. When the Holy Ghost came upon Mary He created within her the cell that would multiply and become the body of our Lord. That cell was created. It was the beginning of the creation of God. That is who Jesus is. ( An Exposition of the Seven Church Ages, p37). Now notice. Now, it must be kinsman. So, you see, an Angel couldn't do it; a man couldn't do it; it must be a man, but he can't be born of a woman-a sex act. So the virgin birth, the Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary, therefore, Jesus was not a Jew. Jesus was not a Gentile. Jesus was God, exactly. His Blood didn't come from any sex act. He was the holy created Blood of God. And we're not saved by Jewish blood, neither are we saved by Gentile blood. 69 More on Jesus Jesus was not God, but He was God. He was a Man, yet He was God. He could cry, and yet He could raise the dead. He could cry for a man being dead and raise him back up again. 70 On baptism.believers baptized by a Trinitarian formula must be rebaptized in the name of Jesus only. (Burgess and McGee, Pentecostal and Charismatic Movements, 95-96) Show me one place where God ever had anybody baptized in the name of the Father, Son, Holy Ghost. Find those things. And yet we constantly do them. You show me one place where one person was baptized in the name of the Father, Son, Holy Ghost, I'll raise my hands and say I'm a false prophet.... I challenge anybody to show me one place where anybody was ever baptized in the name of Father, Son, Holy Ghost. Now, are you going to listen to false prophecy or the truth? Search the Scriptures. It's up to you. But no one in the Scripture was ever baptized in any other way but the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. And those who were baptized was commanded by St. Paul who said, "If an angel preached anything else let him be accursed," commanded to them to come and be rebaptized again in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. 71 On healing There's no man can heal, not even Jesus. Jesus didn't claim to be a Divine Healer. He said, "It's not Me that doeth the works; It's My Father that dwelleth in Me; He doeth the works." 76 Short hair and divorce And now, you [as women] say, "Brother Branham, I think if I got short hair, it makes me cool and everything like." That's right, but if you got long hair you'd be cooler. It'll take it all off your neck, and wrap it up and make it right. Why, you know what the Bible said, that a man has a right to put away his wife and get a divorce from her if she cuts her hair? If she cuts her hair, it shows she's living untrue to him. The Bible said so; I Corinthians 12, find out if it's not right. She that... 77 On women Now, I'm called a woman-hater; you know that, because I'm always kind of against women, but not against you sisters. I'm just against the way modern women act. That's right. 88 Homiletics useless We always say today, people try to say, "We compare. We've got to compare Bible leaf with Bible leaf, Scripture with Scripture." That isn't the truth. No, it isn't the truth. "This Greek word means this, and this means that." The Greeks themself, way back in the Nicaea Council, and them writers back in there, they had different forms. One believed this way. This Greek scholar meant this, and the other one said this one meant it this way. And they fussed over It. We don't need interpretation of Greek scholars or Greek words. 89 On education I live in a city where the University of Arizona is. And what do I find up there but filth and gaum, and the high schools and things of that city... The other day, they had four hundred teenage boys and girls with their clothes off, with kegs of beer, dancing in a big place up in Sabino Canyon up there. All these young kids come from homes, and so forth, around there, find them up in there from the university. What have we got? University can tell you what a seed's made out of, but it can't give a seed life. Your education only takes you farther from God. 90 The Rapture There was three watches. Now, the first watch started at--from nine until twelve; the second watch started from twelve to three, and the third watch of the night was counted from three to six. 91 Eve and the serpent "Here is what actually happened in the Garden of Eden. The Word says that Eve was beguiled by the serpent. She was actually seduced by the serpent. He was as close to being a human that his seed could, and did mingle with that of the woman and cause her to conceive" (William Branham, The Original Sin, pp. 2, 3) Compare this to similar views of modern-day Christian Identity adherents (i.e. serpent seed, that Eve engaged sexually with the serpent and that Cain was the result of this union).

92 Eve and the serpent Here is what really happened in the Garden of Eden. The Word says that Eve was beguiled by the serpent. She was actually seduced by the serpent. It says in Genesis 3:1, "Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made." This beast was so close to a human being (and yet was pure animal) that he could reason and talk. He was an upright creature and was somewhere in between a chimpanzee and a man, but closer to a man. He was so close to being a human that his seed could, and did mingle with that of the woman and cause her to conceive. When this happened, God cursed the serpent. He changed every bone in the serpent's body so that he had to crawl like a snake. Science can try all it wants to, and it won't find the missing link. God saw to that. Man is smart and he can see an association of man with animal and he tries to prove it out of evolution. There isn't any evolution. But man and animal did mingle. That's one of the mysteries of God that has remained hidden, but here it is revealed. It happened right back there in the midst of Eden when Eve turned away from Life to accept Death (continued)

93 Eve and the serpent Before Adam ever had carnal knowledge of Eve, the serpent had that knowledge ahead of him. And that one born of it was Cain. Cain was of (born of, begotten of) "that Wicked One" (I John 3:12). The Holy Spirit in John could not in one place call Adam the "Wicked One" (for that is what he would be if he fathered Cain) and in another place call Adam the "Son of God" which he was by creation (Luke 3:38). Cain turned out in character like his father, a bringer of death, a murderer. His utter defiance of God when faced by the Almighty in Genesis 4:5,13-14, show him to be absolutely unhuman-like in characteristics, seeming even to surpass any account we have in Scripture concerning a confrontation of Satan with God.

95 On The Trinity Ever since then (Council of Nicea in 325 AD) people have failed to realize that there is just one God with three offices or manifestations. They know there is one God according to Scripture, but they try to make it the fantastic theory that God is like a bunch of grapes; three persons with the same Divinity shared equally by all. But it plainly says here in Revelation that Jesus is "That Which Is", "That Which Was", and "That Which Is to Come". He is the "Alpha and Omega", which means that He is the "A to Z" or THE ALL OF IT. He is everything the Almighty. He is the Rose of Sharon, the Lily of the Valley, the Bright and Morning Star, the Righteous Branch, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. He is God, Almighty God. 107 1951 South Africa revival "But is it not the ministry of the miraculous given to men by God in these days which is a most vital factor and potent force in the spiritual awakening of the countries of the world. Is not this God's answer to an age of apathy, unbelief and skepticism? Under the God honoured ministry of Brother William Branham the most amazing scenes were witnessed. One could not help but be reminded of New Testament days. From everywhere the sick came with all manner of afflictions... some on crutches, wheelchairs, and stretchers. 108 Visit to South Africa Sunday, Nov. 25, 1951: Before the afternoon service started, reports were coming in of those who had received their healing in the morning service. It would be impossible to relate the many cases of definite healings which took place in Durban that day. As Brother Branham saw visions of healings he pointed out the people and told them that they were healed. There were those who stepped out of their wheelchairs and walked, some for the first time in many years. There was the deaf and dumb who smiled and made vocal sounds as they were able to hear for the first time in their lives. There were the little children who could not understand it all but who were now able to walk as they had never been able to before. Truly this was a great day of spiritual awakening in the city of Durban. According to the police force fifty-five to sixty thousand people had come to hear the Gospel in addition to fifteen thousand who had been turned away from the gates for lack of room in the largest, finest race course in South Africa. God had spoken to the hearts of thousands and had caused them to come out to hear the Gospel and receive healing for both soul and body". A prophet visits South Africa by Julius Stadsklev.

109 From F.F. Bosworth "Brother Branham is a channel for more than the mere gift of healing; he is also a seer as were the Old Testament Prophets. He sees events before they take place. I asked him, "What do you mean? How do you see them?" He replied, "Just as I see you: only that I know it is a vision." Just as clearly as one sees material things around them, Brother Branham, while in prayer during the day, sees in vision some of the principal miracles before they take place that night. He sees some carried in on ambulance cots, or sitting in wheel chairs, and can describe how they look and how they are dressed, etc. While being shown these miracles in advance, he usually becomes, for the time, unconscious of things going on around him. Not once during the more than three years since receiving the gift have these revelations failed to produce perfect miracles exactly as he had already seen them in visions. At these times he can say with absolute certainty, "Thus saith the Lord," and he is never wrong. He told me last week that he simply acts out what he has already seen himself doing in the vision. The success of the phase of his ministry is exactly 100 percent.

111 Pillar of Fire 1964 Brother Branham had just finished ministering to the sick in a prayer line, at W.V. Grants Assembly, in Dallas, TX. March 8, Leaving the platform, he exited through a back door. A newspaper photographer asked permission to take a picture. Always the gentleman that he was, he graciously consented. The result was the picture shown to the left. The Pillar of Fire is seen resting on Brother Branham's 'right' shoulder. When Brother Branham was shown this picture a few weeks later, he said, "Put it on the shelf. They didn't believe the others and they won't believe this one either". This Pillar of Fire had been with Brother Branham since the time of his birth. During his ministry it was photographed several times. When praying for the sick he would watch the Pillar of fire move around the building from one person to another, revealing the "thoughts and intents" of the heart, the past, the present and the future. And I turned and went up into some great jagged rocks, oh, my, hundreds of feet high. And I knelt down between those rocks. I laid down this Bible and laid down this little tablet. I said, "Lord God, what does this vision (of seven angels) mean? Lord, does it mean my dying?" (You remember I told you I thought it might mean my death, because something exploded till it just shook me to pieces). And then in the room (when he received the vision - Editor)), I said, "Lord, what does it mean? Does it mean I'm going to die? If it is, all right; I won't tell my family. Just let me go on (See?), if my work's finished." But He sent a witness back (You remember me telling you?) that it wasn't that, it was a furtherment of my work. (continued)

The heavenly Father knows this, just as true as you see that come to pass, those Angels come right down and a-vindicated every message to be the same. Then you know whether it comes from God or not. It was foretold you by a vision. I couldn't tell you until the service was over, because I was forbidden to. In Sabino Canyon, sitting up there that morning, I had my hands up, and the wind had blown my old black hat down. When I was standing there with my hands up, praying. I said, "Lord God, what does this mean? I can't understand it, Lord. What am I to do? If it's my going home time, let me go up here where they'll never find me. I don't want nobody to be mourning around if I'm going. I want just the family to think that I just took a walk, and they won't find me. Hide me away somewhere. Maybe Joseph will find my Bible laying here someday, and let him use It. See? If I'm going away, let me go, Lord. (continued)

116 King s Sword And I had my hands out, and all at once something hit my hand. I don't know. I can't say. Did I go to sleep? I don't know. Did I go into a trance? I don't know. Was it a vision? I can't tell you. Only thing I can say is - Just the same thing like them Angels was. And it struck my hand, and I looked, and it was a sword, and it had pearl handles, real pretty; and had a guard over it with gold, and the blade looked like, something like a chrome, like silver, only it was real shiny. And it was so feather-edge sharp. And I thought, "Isn't that the prettiest thing?" just fit my hand. But I said, "Hey, I'm always afraid of them things" - a sword. And I thought, "What will I do with that?" And just then a voice shook down through there that rocked the rocks, said, "It's the Sword of the King." And then I come out of it. "The Sword of the King..." Now, if it said, "a Sword of a King..." but it said, "The Sword of the King," and there's only one "the King," and that's God. and He has one Sword; that's His Word, what I live by. And so help me, God, standing over His holy desk here with this Holy Word laying here, It's the Word. Amen.

No, sir Anything that was created is not Eternal --- If anybody ever tells you that you're going to burn in an Eternal hell, I want the scripture for it -- it was created for that to destroy. Everlasting; does not compare with what is eternal or that which had no beginning or end everlasting means to the vanishing point. Destruction-- in II Thess.1:9 -Positively mean annihilation - - to destroy to the ending point. His body he uses as the antichrist gets destroyed but not his spirit as the book of Rev. 20 tells us he is incarcerated alive for the 1,000 year period in the bottomless pit. Now don't let anyone say that I don't believe in a lake of fire and in punishment. I do. I don't know how long it will last, but it will eventually be removed. 122 Hood of Death This picture taken at Aberdeen, N.C. in June of 1962 is no less amazing than that taken in Houston, Texas wherein the Spirit of Life is seen photographed above the head of William Branham. Rev. Branham had just pointed to the woman and told her that she was shadowed by death due to cancer, and had but a short time to live unless God undertook for her. A lady, upon hearing Brother Branham say this, felt so impelled in her spirit to take a picture of this dying woman that she did so. When the film was developed the black mask of death was clearly seen over this woman's head (see white arrow). It is absolutely amazing but this "hood of death" looks exactly like the hood that the executioner would place on his head before he took the life of his victim. 125 Branham s death On December 18, 1965, Branham and his family (all except his daughter Rebekah) were returning to Jeffersonville, Indiana from Arizona for the Christmas holidays. About 70 miles southwest of Amarillo a car travelling west in the eastbound lane struck Branham's car head-on. The driver of the car was intoxicated and died at the scene. Branham lingered for 6 days after the crash, and died on December 24, William Branham was buried four months later. Some of his followers predicted he would return to life during Easter but William Branham's elder son (Billy Paul) said the interdenominational faith founded by his father did not teach this. William Branham's burial was postponed to allow his widow to attend. She was seriously injured in the accident which claimed her husband's life.
