1 All the news that fits Neely Farm Homeowners Association October President s Message The Neely Farm Board had it's most recent meeting on Monday, 9/24. We reviewed the remaining Capital Budget Projects for 2012 and all ancillary projects. It is our intent to complete all projects that are imminent, and any uncompleted projects will roll to the new board.this Board has continued the customary effort to maintain and make all necessary improvements to all of the common areas around our beautiful neighborhood. Our Property Manager, Nancy Alexander, does a remarkable job in not only keeping the Board aware of what maintenance is necessary, but also the timing of such needed improvements. Nancy marshals all repairs such as: additions, deletions, uprooting, planting, fixing, painting, cutting, mending, lighting, watering, landscaping, and all the other things to keep our neighborhood looking like the jewel that it is. Those are just the cosmetic things she does, along with all of the other responsibilities, that assist us in running a smooth operation. Nancy, you probably don't hear this as much as you should, but once someone becomes a Board member it is clear how much you are needed and appreciated by all who know what you do. Thank you for the pride you take in being a part of this neighborhood and, more importantly, the pride you take in executing your job. You are most appreciated!! Now, as a follow up to my September Message, I want to remind everyone that we are rapidly approaching the changing of Neely Farm Board Members for Thanks to our most gracious Nominating Committee, Diane Cabibi, Elleanore Feininger, and Daryll Griffin, and all of their efforts. We are looking forward to another outstanding slate of new candidates running for the Board. Thank you ladies for taking your valuable time to orchestrate this effort. Additionally, I want to also thank all those candidates who have thrown their hat into the ring for wanting to make Neely Farm an even better place to live. Your collective commitments are much appreciated by your neighbors. The candidates are Jeanne Ryan, Debbie Jaudon, Peter Propis and Jeff Rummell. Finally, I would like to again remind everyone that our next Neely Farm Annual Meeting will be on Sunday, November 11, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. at the Clubhouse. Everyone will be receiving a letter in October as a reminder of that date. Included in that letter will be a Proxy we respectfully ask everyone who will not be attending to sign and give to a neighbor who will be attending. You can also give that Proxy to a Board member or Nancy Alexander. This will assist us greatly in starting the meeting on time as it will eliminate the need for us to have to make several phone calls. Thank you in advance your cooperation!! Mike Griffin President NFHOA From the Management Company The annual meeting is November 11th 7:00 pm at the clubhouse. If you cannot attend, please sign your proxy and give it to a neighbor who will be attending the meeting. A quorum is necessary to conduct the business of electing the new Board members. Last minute phone calls to obtain proxies to reach a quorum inconveniences everyone, so please help by attending the meeting or sending your proxy. The annual meeting notice will be sent to all homeowners in mid-october. The notice will also contain a summary of the 2013 operating budget and information about the Board candidates. Nancy execprop@bellsouth.net REMINDER The Neely Farm governing documents prohibit signs except for those expressly exempted. Political signs are not approved.

2 Page 2 Buy Peachtree Corners First Petition Drive The BUY PEACHTREE CORNERS FIRST committee wants to remind all Neely Farm residents of the ongoing petition drive to secure signatures of registered voters of PEACHTREE CORNERS for the purpose of placing on a future referendum the question of whether to allow package sales within the city. Keeping our tax dollars in PEACHTREE CORNERS by supporting local merchants and purchasing products or goods inside the city will help our city officials with operating budgets that will benefit from these tax revenues generated from local sales. Please look for our committee representatives in the coming months inside our neighborhood and outside your polling station on November 6 th. Your signature is very important! We sincerely hope that you will be in support of placing this question on a referendum. Please feel free to contact any of the committee members if you have questions or comments about this petition. John and Libby Curry Gerald and Virginia Davidson A Celebration of Healing John Curry, Marcia Thiel and Maureen McIvor are pleased to host Neely neighbors Eve Hoffman and Sal Brownfield who have published a book A Celebration of Healing - twenty-one paintings and stories of individuals whose lives have been impacted by breast cancer. On Monday, October 22, Eve and Sal will be sharing several paintings from the exhibition and the stories behind them. Please join us at the clubhouse between 7 and 8:30p for this special event. Wine and light hors d'oevres will be served and the book will be available for purchase. RSVP to maureenmail99@gmail.com by Friday, October 19.

3 Page 3 NEELY FARM BLOOD DRIVE WHEN: Sunday November 4th from 2-6pm WHERE: Neely Farm Subdivision Rachel Ridge Link to sign up: Dear Friends & Neighbors, Since my dad lost his battle with leukemia 3 years ago this October, I have wanted to do something to raise awareness of the need for blood by so many...something that I must admit I was clueless about myself until I saw the bags and bags of blood and platelets that my dad needed. Although he eventually lost his battle, my family was given valuable extra time with him that we would not have had otherwise thanks to the generosity of those who were actively donating blood already. For so many more though, these blood transfusions are literally a life saving gift. Did you know that... *Every 2 seconds, someone in the U.S. needs a blood transfusion. *More than 44,000 blood donations are needed every day. *One blood donation can save up to 3 lives. *60% of Americans are eligible to give blood. However only 5% of those eligible will actually give. On Sunday, November 4th, I will have a LifeSouth Bloodmobile at my house from 2-6pm. It takes 15 minutes to donate blood, and takes literally 30 seconds to sign up for your time slot. Just copy and paste the link above, enter your address, and select a time slot. Its that easy to give the gift of life. What better way to kick off the Holiday Season than by giving the gift of life? This year I dedicate this drive to my father, but it is my hope that we can make this an annual event in memory of all the friends and family we've lost and in support of those who currently battle blood disease and other challenging health issues. Sincerely, Patricia (Patty) Farinas Farrell
