SC COLLECTION NOTE The sole item in this collection is the Administrator s Bond book for Warren County, Kentucky, which contains bonds issued from 1879 to Administrators were appointed to settle estates in which no will existed and thus no executor assigned to handle estate financial affairs. The Administrator was responsible for locating assets and debts, settling debts, and distributing the remainder of the estate to those legally entitled. Bonds include name of the administrator, name of the deceased, date of application, and a witness signature. A list of the deceased and the administrators assigned to settle their estates is included at the end of this finding aid.
