Yelton Will of John Yelton b 8/27/1770 d 2/2/1852 Campbell Co Ky (Alexandria) Will Book 'C' pg 145 In the name of God Amen, I John Yelton of Campbell County and the State of Kentucky being sick and weak in body but of totally sound mind and disposing memory for which I thank God and couling (sp) to mind the uncertainty of human life and be desirous to dispose of all such worldly estate as it has pleased God to bless me with I give and bequeath the same in??? following that is to say, I give to my beloved grand daughter Missouri Yelton my brass clock. I also give to my grand daughter Amelia Jane Yelton my beauro (sp), to my beloved daughter in law Esther Yelton my bay mare, I further will and desire that a fair and reasonable compensation be aloud (sp) unto my beloved son Philip Yelton and Esther his wife for their good care and kindness during my affliction and last illness to be left to two or more uninterested persons and I furthermore?? and desire that all my moneys and all my estate that I am now posest (sp) of be equally divided among my children with what has bin! (sp) given them in my lifetime with the exceptions here after made after my debts and funeral expenses is paid or deducted Via I will and desire that my three daughters namely Rebeckah Williams Mary Williams heirs and Margaret Cherry be entitled to one half the portion each of the rest of my children and lastly I constitute and appoint my friend - J. V. Thomasson Executor of this my last will and testament in testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal this the 28th day of december one thousand eight hundred and fifty one Signed Sealed and published and declared. Jones and Burnett Stowers, Joseph Stowers and Price Stowers heirs and children of Jesse Yelton Deceased their respective interest in and to the residue of the land which said Jesse died??? respectfully submit the following report. We met upon the lands to be divided on Wednesday Oct 27, 1871 and having been first duly sworn by T. J. Ellis County Surveyor we order a resurvey of said land which survey was made by sa! id Ellis commencing on Wednesday Oct 27, 1871 adjourning from day to day until said work of surveying and dividing was completed. We ascertained the quantity to be in the several tracts according to thetitle Papers filed three hundred and fifteen acres, on rod and twenty six and seven tenth poles. We divided said land into nine lots or parcels respectively designated as Lots no 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. Lot No 1 contains 30 acres. Lot No 2 contains thirty four acres. Lot No 3 contains fourteen and one half acres. Lot No 4 contains 40 acres. Lot No 5 contains forty five acres. Lot No 6 contains thirty seven acres, three rods and twenty two poles. Lot No 7 contains thirty nine acres three rods and twenty two poles. Lot No 8 contains 45 acres. Lot No 9 contains thirty one acres. For a more particular description of said lots reference is herein made to the certificate of the survey hereunto annexed and made part of this report.
