READ: EXODUS 12:13 13 Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt. NKJV

WHY MARK THEIR FOREHEADS? WHY DID THE ANGLE TELL LOT TO HURRY? READ: GENESIS 19: And he said to him, "See, I have favored you concerning this thing also, in that I will not overthrow this city for which you have spoken. 22 Hurry, escape there. For I cannot do anything until you arrive there. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.

WHY MARK THEIR FOREHEADS? WHY DID THE LORD MARK THE RIGHTEOUS? READ: REVELATION 7:3 3 "Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads." WHAT ABOUT THE UNRIGHTEOUS? READ: REVELATION 9:4 4 They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.

WHY MARK THEIR FOREHEADS? WHAT DID THE LORD TELL HIS PEOPLE TO DO? READ: ISAIAH 26: Come, my people, enter your chambers, And shut your doors behind you; Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, Until the indignation is past. 21 For behold, the LORD comes out of His place To punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity; The earth will also disclose her blood, And will no more cover her slain. WHY MARK THEIR FOREHEADS? WHAT DID THE LORD TELL JEREMIAH TO DO? WHY? READ: JEREMIAH 7: Cut off your hair and cast it away, and take up a lamentation on the desolate heights; for the LORD has rejected and forsaken the generation of His wrath.' 30 For the children of Judah have done evil in My sight," says the LORD. "They have set their abominations in the house which is called by My name, to pollute it.

23 QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 9:4 WHY MARK THEIR FOREHEADS? WHAT IS THE LORD PLANNING TO DO? READ: JEREMIAH 25:29 29 For behold, I begin to bring calamity on the city which is called by My name, and should you be utterly unpunished? You shall not be unpunished, for I will call for a sword on all the inhabitants of the earth," says the LORD of hosts.' NKJV READ: JEREMIAH 46:10 10 For this is the day of the Lord GOD of hosts, A day of vengeance, That He may avenge Himself on His adversaries. The sword shall devour; It shall be satiated and made drunk with their blood; For the Lord GOD of hosts has a sacrifice In the north country by the River Euphrates. NKJV

WHY MARK THEIR FOREHEADS? WHAT IS THE LORD PLANNING TO DO? READ: AMOS 9: "For surely I will command, And will sift the house of Israel among all nations, As grain is sifted in a sieve; Yet not the smallest grain shall fall to the ground. 10 All the sinners of My people shall die by the sword, Who say, 'The calamity shall not overtake nor confront us.' 25 QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 9:4 IS THERE A MESSAGE FOR US TODAY? READ: 2 PETER 2: For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; 5 and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; 6 and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly; 7 and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked 8 (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)

26 QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 9:4 IS THERE A MESSAGE FOR US TODAY? READ: 2 PETER 2: then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment, 10 and especially those who walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority. They are presumptuous, self-willed. They are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries, 11 whereas angels, who are greater in power and might, do not bring a reviling accusation against them before the Lord. NKJV

So they began with the elders who were before the temple. WHAT DID THE LORD TELL THE OTHERS TO DO? WHO WERE THEY SENT TO SLAY? WHY? WHERE WOULD THEM BEGIN THE SLAYING? WHY THE ELDERS?

29 QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 9:5 WHAT DID THE LORD TELL MOSES TO DO? WHY? READ: EXODUS 32: Now when Moses saw that the people were unrestrained (for Aaron had not restrained them, to their shame among their enemies), 26 then Moses stood in the entrance of the camp, and said, "Whoever is on the LORD S side come to me!" And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together to him. 27 And he said to them, "Thus says the LORD God of Israel: 'Let every man put his sword on his side, and go in and out from entrance to entrance throughout the camp, and let every man kill his brother, every man his companion, and every man his neighbor.'" 28 So the sons of Levi did according to the word of Moses. And about three thousand men of the people fell that day. NKJV

READ: ISAIAH 13: "Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, Who will not regard silver; And as for gold, they will not delight in it. 18 Also their bows will dash the young men to pieces, And they will have no pity on the fruit of the womb; Their eye will not spare children. READ: 2 CHRONICLES 36:17 17 Therefore He brought against them the king of the Chaldeans, who killed their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion on young man or virgin, on the aged or the weak; He gave them all into his hand. They will call on My name, And I will answer them. I will say, 'This is My people'; And each one will say, 'The LORD is my God.'" NKJV READ: ZECHARIAH 14:2 2 For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem; The city shall be taken, The houses rifled, And the women ravished. And they went out and killed in the city. 8 So it was, that while they were killing them, I was left alone; and I fell on my face and cried out, and said, "Ah, Lord GOD! Will You destroy all the remnant of Israel in pouring out Your fury on Jerusalem?" HOW WOULD THEY DEFILE THE TEMPLE? HOW DID EZEKIEL RESPOND TO THIS? WHAT DID HE SAY TO THE LORD?

39 QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 9:8 "Ah, Lord GOD! Will You destroy all the remnant of Israel in pouring out Your fury on Jerusalem?" HOW DID EZEKIEL RESPOND TO THIS? HOW DID JOSHUA RESPOND TO THIS? READ: JOSHUA 7:6-7 6 Then Joshua tore his clothes, and fell to the earth on his face before the ark of the LORD until evening, he and the elders of Israel; and they put dust on their heads. 7 And Joshua said, "Alas, Lord GOD, why have You brought this people over the Jordan at all to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? Oh, that we had been content, and dwelt on the other side of the Jordan! NKJV

Do you judge uprightly, you sons of men? 2 No, in heart you work wickedness; You weigh out the violence of your hands in the earth. NKJV
