WHO SHALL BE ASHAMED? JUDAH? WHY SHOULD JUDAH BE ASHAMED? READ: 2 KINGS 18: Look! You are trusting in the staff of this broken reed, Egypt, on which if a man leans, it will go into his hand and pierce it. So is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all who trust in him. 22 But if you say to me, We trust in the LORD our God, Is it not He whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah has taken away, and said to Judah and Jerusalem, You shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem? NKJV

WHAT WILL THEY SAY? HOW SHALL WE ESCAPE? READ: JEREMIAH 30: Why do you cry about your affliction? Your sorrow is incurable. Because of the multitude of your iniquities, Because your sins have increased, I have done these things to you. 16 All those who devour you shall be devoured. And all your adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity. Those who plunder you shall become plunder And all who prey upon you I will make a prey. NKJV

WHAT WILL THEY SAY? HOW SHALL WE ESCAPE? READ: JEREMIAH 31:1-2 1 At the same time, says the LORD, I will be the God of all the families of Israel and they shall be My people. 2 Thus says the LORD: The people who survived the sword Found grace in the wilderness: Israel, when I went to give him rest. WHAT WILL THEY SAY? HOW SHALL WE ESCAPE? READ: MATTHEW 23: Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell? 34 Indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes. Some of them you will kill and crucify and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city, 35 That on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. NKJV
28 QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 20:5-6 6 And the inhabitant of this territory will say in that day, 'Surely such is our expectation, wherever we flee for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria; and how shall we escape?'" WHAT WILL THEY SAY? HOW SHALL WE ESCAPE? READ: 1 THESSALONIANS 5:1-6 1 Concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. 2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3 When they say, Peace and safety! Then sudden destruction comes upon them, As labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. 4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. 5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. NKJV
29 QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 20:5-6 6 And the inhabitant of this territory will say in that day, 'Surely such is our expectation, wherever we flee for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria; and how shall we escape?'" WHAT WILL THEY SAY? HOW SHALL WE ESCAPE? READ: HEBREWS 2:1-4 1 We must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away. 2 For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward, 3 How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him, 4 God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?
