OVER THE PAST WEEKS WE HAVE BEEN IN A SERIES OF MESSAGES ENTITLED, THE FULLNESS OF GOD THIS COMES FROM A PRAYER OF THE APOSTLE PAUL WHERE HE PRAYED THAT WE WOULD BE FILLED WITH ALL THE FULLNESS OF GOD THAT WE WOULD EXPERIENCE HIS FULLNESS IN EVERY AREA OF OUR LIFE PEACE, POWER, PURPOSE PASSION AND PRESENCE SO FARE WE HAVE CONSIDERED OUR SPIRITUAL LIFE OUR PERSONAL LIFE OUR FAMILY LIFE / HUSBANDS TODAY WE WILL CONTINUE ON IN THE FAMILY LIFE BY CONSIDERING WHAT THE BIBLE HAS TO SAY ABOUT WIVES.

2 THE SAME PREMISE THAT WE LEARNED ALST WEEK FOR HUSBANDS IS IN PLACE FOR WIVES, REMEMBER THE HEAD OF MAN IS CHRIST, THE HEAD OF THE WOMAN IS MAN, THE HEAD OF CHRIST IS GOD. JUST AS CHRIST WILLINGLY AGREED TO SUBMITTED TO DEFERED TO ACCEPTED THE AUTHITY OF THE FATHER HUSBANDS ARE TO OF CHRIST WIVES ARE TO THE HUSBAND WHY? But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him. 21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. 22 Then the rib which the LORD God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.

5 23 And Adam said: "This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man." 24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. 25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed. 1A GOD COULD SEE THAT EVERY OTHER CREATURE EXCEPT MAN HAD A COMPANION. GOD COULD SEE THAT MAN WAS ALONE AND INCOMPLETE THE WOMAN WAS TO BE A COMPANION TO MAN NOT AN COMPETITOR "THE WOMAN WAS CREATED TO BE A HELER NOT A HINDRANCE WOMAN WAS COMPARABLE BUT DIFFERENT THAN MAN IN PHYSICAL APPEARANCE AND ABILTIES AS WELL AS DEMEANOR / DISPOSITION THAT EMOTIONAL MAKE UP HAT MADE HER SUITABE FOR THE NURTURING ROLE THAT A MOTHER WAS TO TAKE o DIFFERENCES WERE A JOKE A PUNCHLINE o DIFFERENCES WERE OVERBLOWN MAN WAS A MASTER / DADDY TO WEAK CHILDLIKE WOMAN (ARCHIE BUNKER) o DIFFERENCES WERE SWITCHED

6 WIFE WORE THE PANTS EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND HUSBAND WAS THE ADULT ADOLESCENT GOD S PERSPECTIVE WAS ONE WHERE o WOMAN WAS A COMPANION NOT A COMPETITOR o A HELPER NOT A HINDRANCE o A PARTNER NOT A OPPONENT 1B GOD ACKNOWLEDGED THESE DIFFERENCES AND INSTRUCTS U NOT TO LET THEM SPOILE THE PARTNERSHIP 1Pe 3:7 Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered. BECAUSE OF THESE DEIFFERENCES YOU MAY BE MISUNDERSTOOD YU MAY BE TAKEN FOR GRANTED YOU MAY BE SEEN AS WEAK YOU MAY BE UNDERESTIMATED SPIRIUALLY BUT. YOU ARE WORTHY OF CNSIDERATION OF HONOR OF PROTECTION IN CHRIST YOU ARE AN HEIR OF GODS GRACE

7 1C GOD TELLS US THAT OUR INDIVIDUAL EFFECTIVENESS IS INTERTWINED WITH EACHOTHER 1Co 11:11 Nevertheless, neither is man independent of woman, nor woman independent of man, in the Lord. 12 For as woman came from man, even so man also comes through woman; but all things are from God. GOD WARNS US AGAINST EXCLUSION AND INDEPENDENCE Ec 4:9 Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. 10 For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up. 11 Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; But how can one be warm alone? 12 Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken. PART 2/5 WIVES YOU ARE A SIGN OF GOD S FAVOR UPON THE MAN HE HAS CHOSEN TO BE YOUR HUSBAND Pr 18:22 He who finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor from the LORD. 2A GOD SAYS A WIFE IS A GOOD THING

8 tobe-- a pleasant, beautiful, precious valuable This is how god sees you 2B GOD SAYS A WIFE IS A SIGN OF GOD S FAVOR. rawtsone---delight, favor, good pleasure Because God loves your husband, He gave you to him to show His favor, delight and good pleasure. PART 3/5 THE WIFE S AUTHORITY IS COMPLETE ONLY AS SHE SUBMITS TO HER HUSBAND 3A THE AUTHORITY AND RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WIFE IN THE FAMILY o EPH 5.22 o COL 3.18 o 1 PET 3.1 The Bible clearly states that wives and husbands are in partnership as they exercise their God-given authority in the family. When they are working together in their individual anointing Families will be blessed For the woman to exercise authority independent of or in opposition to the husband is just as

9 dangerous as when the husband exercises authority independent of or in opposition to Christ. Prov 14:12 There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death. James 4:6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble." PART 4/5 ABOUT THE WIFES CONDUCT APPEARANCE AND SPIRIT 1 Pet 3:1-7 (NLT) 1 {Wives--} In the same way, you wives must accept the authority of your husbands, even those who refuse to accept the Good News. Your godly lives will speak to them better than any words. They will be won over 2 by watching your pure, godly behavior. 3 Don't be concerned about the outward beauty that depends on fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. 4 You should be known for the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.

10 5 That is the way the holy women of old made themselves beautiful. They trusted God and accepted the authority of their husbands. 6 For instance, Sarah obeyed her husband, Abraham, when she called him her master. You are her daughters when you do what is right without fear of what your husbands might do. 4A (V1-2) YOUR SUBMISSIVE CONDUCT MAY WIN YOUR UNBLELIEVING HUSBAND TO THE LORD (V. 1-2)The wife's submissive conduct may win the unbelieving husband to the Lord. 4B (V3) BE AS CAREFUL OF THEINWARD APPEARANCE AS THE OUTWARD. 4C (V4) A GENTLE AND QUIET SPIRIT IS THE MARK OF INWARD BEAUTY THAT IS OF VALUE TO THE LORDS (NOT A DOORMAT NOT A NOT OVERBEARING OR CONTENTIOUS) (v.5) To trust God and accept the authority of their husband is the mark of a holy woman. 5/5 V The Bible: Liberated or Chauvinistic? 11 The Character Of the Godly wife v.10 A woman of strong character is has a worth that is limitless v.11 because her husband can trust her completely to do what is wise. He doesn't have to worry about her wasting or losing their earnings. v.12 She is like Jacob, everything she does brings blessing to the home. v.13 She is industrious and not afraid to work. v.14 v.15 She takes her responsibilities seriously to make sure that her household and her servants have what they need so that they can make it through the day. v.16 She's a wise business woman who can take nothing and make a profit. She doesn't waste the profit one worthless items. She uses that money to make more money. v.17 v.18 She takes pride in providing quality merchandise and takes all the time she needs to

12 v.19 make sure it stays that way. v.20 She is compassionate. v.21 She doesn't worry about her family's health because she has provided them with proper clothing. The clothing of royalty. v.22 She's not just waiting for a hand out form others she provdes herself with clothing. v.23 Her wisdom is a reflection on her husband. v. 24 She is a wise business woman. v.25 Out of all her worldly posessions her real clothing is her strength and honor. Because of this she can smile at the future. v.26 She is wise in her words and they are kind. v.27 She takes charge of her children and servants and does not spend her time in idle gossip. v.28 Her children and husband have nothing but good to say about her v.29 She is above all other women

13 v.30 Her values and praise do not rest in her charm and beauty alone. Her success come fromthe fact that she fears the Lord.
