4 Sound Methodology for Bible Study The three components of sound Bible study methodology: Observation what does the text say? Interpretation what does the text mean? Application how do I apply this to my life? Sound Methodology for Bible Study STEP ONE: Observation what does the text say? Ask six questions: Who, what, when, where, why, how? Look for six things: Emphasized, repeated, related, alike/unlike, true to life, big picture Exegesis: Draws out, extracts meaning Eisegesis: Puts meaning in beforehand Sound Methodology for Bible Study STEP TWO: Interpretation what does the text mean?
