I was a member of the Pharisees, who demand the strictest obedience to the Jewish law. 6 I was so zealous that I harshly persecuted the church. And as for righteousness, I obeyed the law without fault. Acts 8:1 3 1 Saul was in hearty agreement with putting him to death 3 But Saul began ravaging the church, entering house after house, and dragging off men and women, he would put them in prison. So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin.
