Overnight: Flight DAY TWO MONDAY, JUNE 6, 2016 ARRIVAL Arrive at Ben Gurion International Airport. Welcome by our representative and assistance with arrival formalities. Enter the city of Tel Aviv, known as the city that never sleeps with its centers of culture and recreation and national history such as the Habima Theater, sprawling beaches, Dizengoff Street and Rabin Square. Check into the hotel. Visit the Jaffa Overlook for an introduction to Tel Aviv at the place where it all began. Enjoy a Middle-Eastern-style dinner with a varied menu of traditional salads and grilled meat at Maganda in Tel Aviv s Yemenite Quarter. Overnight: Tel Aviv DAY THREE TUESDAY, JUNE 7, 2016 FOUNDATIONS OF A CITY AND A STATE Follow the story of Israel s pre-state elite fighting force, the Palmach, while walking through a state of the art multimedia experience that allows a glimpse into the lives of extraordinary people at Beit Hapalmach (pending confirmation). Walk through the museum at the new Rabin Center, dedicated to the history of society and democracy in Israel. Track 1: Along the Water: Challenge yourself on two wheels as you bike from the Yarkon River, through the Tel Aviv Port and along the shore side Tel Aviv promenade, ending at the old port of Jaffa. Defining and Meeting Israel s Challenges for the Next 30 Years: Dialogue with a scholar from the Reut Institute. Reut is an innovative policy and strategy group designed to identify the gaps in current policy and strategy in Israel and the Jewish world, and work to build and implement new visions. Dialogue with members of the Jaffa Arab-Hebrew Theater, for perspectives on the challenges and successes of dealing with interfaith dialogue in a creative way. OR Take the cable car to ascend to the top of Masada where you will meet the rest of the group. Short hike to Nahal David, the freshwater spring and waterfalls in the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve, a lush oasis in the Judean Desert overlooking the Dead Sea.
