Welcome by our representative and assistance with arrival formalities. Transfer to the hotel, check in and get a good night's sleep! Overnight: Jerusalem DAY THREE WEDNESDAY, JUNE 12, 2019 HISTORY AND SPIRITUALITY IN JERUSALEM Breakfast at the hotel. Depart the hotel and proceed to the Old City and begin with reciting the traditional shehechiyanu blessing at the City of David, followed by an exploration of the excavations at the site, the very core of ancient Jerusalem. Explore Jerusalem Archeological Park, including the Davidson Center, Robinson's Arch and the Southern Wall steps where Jewish pilgrims entered the Temple Mount 2,000 years ago. Stop at Azarat Israel, the pluralistic section of the Kotel (Western Wall). Visit the Kotel (Western Wall) and experience the special atmosphere of this holy site. Lunch at your own expense in the Hurva Square, the central square of the Jewish Quarter. Free time to shop at the Cardo, the main street of Jerusalem in the 6th. Explore the Western Wall Tunnel, the underground continuation of the Temple Mount's Western Wall, exposed in recent years. Walk through Jerusalem's famous Old City Market (shuk). Return to the hotel. Dinner on own, perhaps at the Old Train Station Plaza, with its fashionable restaurants featuring local and international cuisine. On certain evenings one can enjoy street musicians, Israeli dancing and other attractions. Overnight: Jerusalem

9 DAY FOUR THURSDAY, JUNE 13, 2019 INTO THE DESERT, MASADA AND THE DEAD SEA Early breakfast at the hotel. Descend to the Dead Sea Basin. If a second B'nai Service is needed it will take place at the ancient synagogue in Ein Gedi. Ascend by cable-car to Masada, Herod's mountain palace and the site of the Jewish Zealots' last stand against the Roman Legionnaires. Discuss Masada's role as a symbol of Jewish defence and its current significance in modern Israel. Short hike to Nahal David, the freshwater spring and waterfalls in the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve, where David hid from King Saul. Lunch on own en route. Experience the weightlessness of the Dead Sea as you float in its waters. Return to Jerusalem, driving by Qumran, the area where the Dead Sea Sect established a community, and the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Dinner on own, perhaps on vibrant Emek Refaim Street, in Jerusalem's German Colony. Overnight: Jerusalem DAY FIVE FRIDAY, JUNE 14, 2019 THE POWER OF MEMORY Breakfast at the hotel. Adults and older children: Visit the Yad Vashem complex, the Jewish National Memorial to the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust, including: The Avenue of the Righteous The new Historical Museum The Children's Memorial Younger kids: Visit Ein Yael, an interactive, living museum, located on a 2,000-year-old archaeological site. There is the option of taking part in weaving, ceramics, painting and other crafts typical of life in ancient times. All: Experience the sights, smells, and tastes of Jerusalem while walking through the Machaneh Yehuda open-air market, with lunch on own. Return to the hotel to prepare for Shabbat. Celebrate Kabbalat Shabbat with Kehillat Bavat Ayin in Rosh Ha'ayin followed by Shabbat home hospitality dinner with congregants. Return to Jerusalem. Overnight: Jerusalem

12 DAY SIX SATURDAY, JUNE 15, 2019 SHABBAT IN JERUSALEM WALKING TOUR Breakfast at the hotel. Option 1: Shabbat services at a local synagogue. Option 2: Morning at leisure. Option 3: On your own, cost not included: Visit the renewed and wonderfully creative Israel Museum, with its wide-ranging and eclectic collection, from Archaeology and the Dead Sea Scrolls, to Jewish Life and Art, European art, contemporary Israeli art and the open-air model of Jerusalem in the Second Temple period. All: Lunch on own. Return to the Old City and walk along the ramparts from the Jaffa Gate to the Zion Gate. Walk along the Rooftops of the Old City for a behind-the-scenes look at the various communities in Jerusalem, and how they live alongside each other. Explore the fascinating medieval Church of the Holy Sepulchre, venerated by many as the site of the crucifixion, burial and resurrection of Jesus. Return to the hotel. Ben Kodesh Lechol: Havdallah overlooking the Old City. Stroll along the Ben-Yehuda Street and Nachalat Shiva pedestrian malls, joining the many Israelis out on the town, with dinner on own. DAY SEVEN SUNDAY, JUNE 16, 2019 COMMUNITIES PAST AND PRESENT Breakfast at the hotel. Check out of the hotel. Visit Yad LaKashish, a multifaceted sheltered workshop for senior citizens and people with disabilities. Meet the employees in their workshops, and take the opportunity to visit the shop that proudly presents their beautiful wares. Depart Jerusalem; head north driving along the Trans-Israel Highway. Visit Kfar Kedem in the Galilee for a hands-on family experience, exploring Jewish life of 2,000 years ago, including donkey rides, costumes, pita baking and a special Continue to the Upper Galilee to Tsfat, a center of Jewish mysticism for hundreds of years and a contemporary artists' colony, including: Guided visit to the Ari, Caro or Abuhav Synagogues, each with its great stories and mystical messages. 13 DAY EIGHT MONDAY, JUNE 17, 2019 NATURE AND SECURITY ON THE GOLAN Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to the Golan Heights and begin the day with the B'nai Mitzvah ceremony at the ancient synagogue in the Katzrin Talmudic Village, followed by an exploration of its archaeological remains, including the reconstructed homes from a thriving ancient Jewish community. Take a Jeep tour off-road up the Golan Heights in the footsteps of Israeli soldiers and their battles in the Six-Day War. Enjoy the beautiful natural scenery and gain an insight into the strategic complexity of the Golan. Lunch on own en route. The panoramic views from Bental (overlooking the abandoned Syrian town of Kuneitra) give sharp insights into Israel's security situation on the Golan Heights, and the enormous challenges it faced in the 1973 Yom Kippur War. Enjoy rafting or kayaking down the Jordan River. Return to the hotel to freshen up. Celebratory dinner at the Dubrovin Farm, site of one of the first attempts (in the early 1900s) at draining the northern swamps and settling the Hula Valley. Overnight: Kibbutz Hotel, Upper Galilee DAY NINE TUESDAY, JUNE 18, 2019 ALONG THE WATER Breakfast at the hotel. Check out of the hotel, depart the Upper Galilee and drive to the coastal plain to Caesarea, one of the Land of Israel's most important cities in the Roman Period. Visit the Herodian Theater and the excavations along the Mediterranean shore, concluding with a visit to the ruined 900-year-old Crusader town. Continue south to Tel Aviv, known as the city that never sleeps, with its centers of culture, recreation and national history, great beaches and fine stores. Lunch on own and then visit the Old City of Jaffa and ascend from the old port through the renovated alleyways to the Jaffa Overlook for an introduction to Tel Aviv at the place where it all began. Time permitting, stroll along the Nachalat Binyamin pedestrian mall, with its bi-weekly crafts fair and eateries. Alongside is the colorful Carmel open-air market and across the way Sheinkin Street, with its hip cafés and funky chic shopping. Check into the hotel. Dinner on your own and free evening in Tel Aviv for an opportunity to: Meander through the Old City of Jaffa. Stroll down Rothschild Boulevard, with its many cafés and bars. Experience Tel Aviv Port, with its restaurants and clubs. Explore the gentrified Neve Zedek Saunter down the Tel Aviv Beach Promenade. Wander through the Tachana, Tel Aviv's renovated old train station, now a center of boutiques and good food, and one of Tel Aviv's blooming hot spots. Overnight: Tel Aviv

14 DAY TEN WEDNESDAY, JUNE 19, 2019 I'M DIGGIN' ISRAEL Breakfast at the hotel. Take part in an archaeological dig at the Beit Guvrin Caves and prepare to get your hands dirty as uncovering pottery from the Hellenistic period, 2,300 years ago, followed by a crawl through the Maresha Cave Labyrinth (crawling is optional). Beit Guvrin- Maresha National Park was recently recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lunch on own en route. Visit the Ayalon Institute near Rehovot for an eye-opening tour of a clandestine munitions factory used during the British Mandate. Return to Tel Aviv and rest of the day at leisure to relax and enjoy the beach. Dinner on own, perhaps at the Sarona Market. Through the smells, flavors and tastes of this renovated historical Templers town, explore the range of cuisine from local street food to fine dining by world renowned Israeli chefs. Overnight: Tel Aviv DAY ELEVEN THURSDAY, JUNE 20, 2019 FOUNDATIONS OF A CITY AND STATE Breakfast at the hotel. Urban Culture Tours of Tel Aviv, Combining Street Art, Language & Graffiti: Join Guy Sharett, a local resident, to explore the urban culture of the city. Start Up Nation: Explore the world of renowned Israeli inventions and creations at the State of Mind Innovation Center, followed by a dialogue with an up and coming start-up entrepreneur. Against the Odds - Building a State: Visit Independence Hall, where David Ben-Gurion proclaimed the State of Israel on May 14th, Return to the hotel for last minute packing and to freshen up.
