5 FOCUSED: Vision s Birthplace True vision for life is birth through discomfort.

6 Not the discomfort of wanting something others have, which is how most create goals for themselves

7 Human eyes focus on what other s have that we don t. Jesus eyes are focused upon what others don t have.

8 FOCUSED VISION As our hearts are moved because others need the gospel, poor children need food, shelter and education, young people need mentoring, those left out need a community, the silenced need a voice, this discomfort births life-changing vision vision that changes the lives of others, as well as our own.

10 Discomfort is the Birthplace of Vision Wherever I look, I see destruction and violence. I am surrounded by people who love to argue and fight. 4 The law has become paralyzed, and there is no justice in the courts. The wicked far outnumber the righteous, so that justice has become perverted. Habakkuk 1:2 4 (NLT)

12 The Power of Conscience Our conscience is not only to guide personal behavior. Our conscience is given to birth a vision for a more Christ-like world.

13 What discomfort unsettles your comfort? Families without safety Children lacking education Human trafficking Gang impacted kids The addicted

14 What discomfort unsettles your comfort? Those with sickness and disease Hurting hearts due to bullying, abuse, and violence Seniors bound in loneliness People battling anxiety, depression and mental illness

15 What discomfort unsettles your comfort? Motherless and fatherless children Immigrants and refugees needing a home People needing good jobs Injustice against the powerless Tax dollars wasted

16 What discomfort unsettles your comfort? Church as it is compared to the love and power of the NT Christians hurt by the Church Creatives with no place in the family People needing Jesus, neighborhoods without churches, nations without the gospel

17 Let discomfort give birth to vision

18 Define and Declare Vision 2 And the LORD answered me: Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. 3 For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay. 4 Behold, his soul is puffed up (the impatient one); it is not upright within him, but the righteous shall live by his faith (no matter how long the race takes).
