1 We re Moving! 40-Day Momentum Prayer Guide October 28 Matthew 25: Then the righteous will answer him, Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you? The King will reply, Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. Reflect & Pray: Who is in front of you right now, with an obvious need that you can meet? October 29 1 Peter 4:8-10. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God s grace in its various forms. Reflect & Pray: Where is God leading you to cover over sins, with love and hospitality? October 30 John 1:11. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Mathew 18:20. Jesus replied, Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head. Reflect & Pray: Jesus was great at welcoming strangers. He knew what it felt like to be one. When have you felt like a stranger, and what did you learn that will help you welcome the next person to the family of God at Lakepoint? October 31 Luke 14: Then Jesus said to his host, When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid. But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous. Reflect & Pray: Name one person you could welcome, that you never thought of welcoming before.

2 November 1 Isaiah 58: If you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sunscorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. Reflect & Pray: Ask God to sustain you, as someone who will always serve others. November 2 Matthew 9:35. Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. Reflect & Pray: What good news do you think God wants to bring to our community? November 3 Matthew 9:36. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Reflect & Pray: Ask God to help you feel his heart for people in your everyday circle. November 4 Matthew 9: Then he said to his disciples, The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Reflect & Pray: Will you be a worker in God s harvest? Pray for others to join you. November 5 Acts17: From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. Reflect & Pray: God has you in this place, at this time, for a divinely appointed reason. Ask him what that reason is. November 6 John 6:5-6. When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward him, he said to Philip, Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat? He asked this only to test him, for he already had in mind what he was going to do.

3 Reflect & Pray: Is God testing your faith in him right now? November 7 John 6:15. Jesus, knowing that they intended to come and make him king by force, withdrew again to a mountain by himself. Reflect & Pray: Jesus got away when things got crazy. What would it mean for you to get away and get refreshed with God this weekend? November 8 John 6:35. Then Jesus declared, I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. Reflect & Pray: What do you need God to fill in you right now, that nothing else can? November 9 John 6: Then they asked him, What must we do to do the works God requires? Jesus answered, The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent. Reflect & Pray: Doing the right thing always starts with believing Jesus - the sent one from God. How is he asking you to believe him right now? November 10 John 6:38. For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. Reflect & Pray: Let go of your own agenda today. Ask God to do something in you or through you, that he s wanted to do for a while now. November 11 John 6: And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. Reflect & Pray: Think of a friend who God wants to give eternal life, and pray whatever thought for them comes next. November 12 John 6:50-51 But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

4 Reflect & Pray: Feast on Jesus today, and may he nourish your life. November 13 John 6:67-68 You do not want to leave too, do you? Jesus asked the Twelve. Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Reflect & Pray: Maybe some won t want Jesus. Does that make you any less sure that he is what you need? November 14 1 Chronicles 16:31. Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, The Lord reigns! Reflect & Pray: Everyone needs Jesus. Pray for the six families today, that you hope to find him. November 15 Acts 4:29. Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Reflect & Pray: If you ve been tracking with Lakepoint, you ve been praying for six families, for six months, that God would take root in their lives. It s time join God in what he has been doing. Ask him for your next bold move, in speaking to them. November 16 Romans 10:14-15 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news! Reflect & Pray: God made you to go. November 17 Acts 4:30. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus. Reflect & Pray: Pray that God would stretch out his hand in our city and surrounding areas, to show them that he is God. November 18 John 14:6. Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

5 Reflect & Pray: When you think of the six families you ve been praying for, what does their life need most right now? The Jesus way or the Jesus truth? November 19 Acts 8: The Spirit told Philip, Go to that chariot and stay near it. Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. Do you understand what you are reading? Philip asked. How can I, he said, unless someone explains it to me? So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him. Reflect & Pray: God s Spirit has a way of telling you who to go to, and what to say, if you make yourself available to him. November 20 Deuteronomy 8:2. Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. Reflect & Pray: As a church plant and portable church, Lakepoint has had its share of wilderness. Think back on what God sought to teach our hearts through this. November 21 Hebrews 12:1. Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. Reflect & Pray: Thank God today for all the great partner churches, who set a standard of perseverance for us to follow. Brooklife, Riverglen, Legacy, Ridge, Southbrook to name just a few. November 22 Hebrews 12:1b-2a. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. Reflect & Pray: Today is our last day at Muskego High! Think back over what Jesus began with you and Lakepoint Church and what it might look like one day when he perfects our faith. November 23 Hebrews 12:2b. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Reflect & Pray: Jesus made big sacrifices to help us find our way back to God. What sacrifice on your part might help the next person experience the same?

6 November 24 Deuteronomy 8:7. For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land Reflect & Pray: Momentum has brought so much work and anticipation to what is about to happen. We re going to enter the good land God had in mind for us! November 25 Philippians 2:14. Do everything without grumbling or arguing. Reflect & Pray: Thankfulness for what we have (or will have), requires that we let go of the things that could have gone better. November 26 Philippians 1:3. I thank my God every time I remember you. Reflect & Pray: Pray for someone who brings thanks to your heart when you think about them. Maybe someone who has helped you understand that there is a God who loves you? November 27 Philippians 2:3-4. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. Reflect & Pray: How do you see God using our new building, for the interests of others? November 28 Ezekiel 37:1-3. The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. He asked me, Son of man, can these bones live? I said, Sovereign Lord, you alone know. Reflect & Pray: God challenged Ezekiel to believe that life could come to the deadest of places. Where is he challenging you to believe the same? November 29 John 3:16. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Reflect & Pray: This what it s all about. Jesus is the gift. A Father s love is known through the gift.

7 November 30 1 Peter 5:7. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Reflect & Pray: God wants to carry you today. December 1 Deuteronomy 8: When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you. Be careful that you do not forget the Lord your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees that I am giving you this day. Reflect & Pray: God has given a building as a gift to our church and our local community. Never forget this gift came from him. December 2 Philippians 2:7-8. He made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death even death on a cross! Reflect & Pray: Jesus gave, and gave, and gave. Lakepoint follows Jesus, and we will always give to our local community. December 3 Acts 4: After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly. All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God s grace was so powerfully at work in them all Reflect & Pray: God will be known by his power. The strength of community amongst his followers is a major way his power becomes known. December 4 Philippians 2: Continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. Reflect & Pray: God s got a great purpose for you in this world. He s at work in you but you have to join him in that work.

8 December 5 Philippians 2: At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Reflect & Pray: No gesture is bigger, than bending your knee to Jesus. December 6 2 Corinthians 6:2. I tell you, now is the time of God s favor, now is the day of salvation. Lakepoint s new home is now open! May this be the first of many days, where people find the God who loves them.
