It teaches us to renounce godlessness and worldly pleasures, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives now, in this age; Mercy is not receiving what you actually do deserve, and Grace is receiving what you actually don t deserve. Yochanan 1:17: For the law was given by Moses, (but) grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. 6 Hebrews 4:12: See, the Word of God is alive! Before God, nothing created is hidden, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of him to whom we must render an account. KJV: It is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. For out of the heart come forth wicked thoughts, murder, adultery and other kinds of sexual immorality, theft, lies, slanders.... These are what really make a person unclean, but eating without doing n'tilat-yadayim does not make a person unclean." 1 st Corinthians 6:9-10: Don't you know that unrighteous people will have no share in the Kingdom of God? Don't delude yourselves people who engage in sex before marriage, who worship idols, who engage in sex after marriage with someone other than their spouse, who engage in active or passive homosexuality, who steal, who are greedy, who get drunk, who assail people with contemptuous language, who rob none of them will share in the Kingdom of G-d. 6

7 In Yochanan 3:3-5, Yeshua says this: "Yes, indeed," Yeshua answered him, "I tell you that unless a person is born again from above, he cannot see the Kingdom of God. Nakdimon said to him, "How can a grown man be 'born'? Can he go back into his mother's womb and be born a second time?" Yeshua answered, "Yes, indeed, I tell you that unless a person is born from water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God. Grace and mercy only go together when there is a spirit of repentance, Teshuvah 2 nd Timothy 2:25-26: For God may perhaps grant them the opportunity to turn from their sins (grant them repentance), acquire full knowledge of the truth, come to their senses and escape the trap of the Adversary, after having been captured alive by him to do his will. Motive/Intention of our Lev (heart): Hebrew word Kavanah (hnwk) In Matthew 5:48, Yeshua defines for us what it means to be graceful: Therefore be whole, as your Father in Heaven is whole Whole is the Hebrew word Shlemiym (.ymlv) Shalom 7

8 Deuteronomy 18:13: You must be wholehearted with ADONAI your God. Wholehearted ( perfect ) is the Hebrew word tamıym (.ymt) integrity, truth, complete, full, perfect, sincerely Deuteronomy 30:20: loving ADONAI your God, paying attention to what he says and clinging to him for that is the purpose of your life! Yochanan 6:45-48: Everyone who listens to the Father and learns from him comes to me. Not that anyone has seen the Father except the one who is from God he has seen the Father. Yes, indeed! I tell you, whoever trusts has eternal life: I am the bread which is life. Acts 17:27-28: God did this so that people would look for him and perhaps reach out and find him although in fact, he is not far from each one of us, 'for in him we live and move and exist. Jeremiah 29:13: When you seek me, you will find me, provided you seek for me wholeheartedly; 8
