Gerrit wrote the song as a family worship song for his own children and some of their friends who were staying in their home. Remembering campfire talks at summer camps when he was young, Gerrit envisions this song being used with young people for times of spiritual challenge. Jesus call to obedience in Mt. 7:21 was the inspiration for the song: Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. The song was recorded for the album, mazing Love WholeHearted Worship for Young Worshipers which was released in January, (See special offer on page 5) bout the Recording Sal Oliveri produced the tracks. Sal is the coproducer of the WholeHearted Hymns series ( Nathan Zwald engineered and mixed. The recording features Gerrit s daughter, Katie Gustafson, who was the worship leader, along with aron Keyes, on Ranch Praise. He later founded WholeHearted Worship to provide worship resources for churches and groups that don t have experienced worship leaders and musicians. Recently Gerrit, together with Gary Sadler (ncient of Days and many other great songs) and Sal Oliveri, began a Worship Discipleship Weekend where 1015 worship leaders and musicians gather for a weekend of discipleship in Nashville.
