We hope this song, for instance, will become one of many hymn that you use regularly in your worship. bout the Song Praise the Lord, the lmighty was one of about sixty hymn texts Joachim Neander wrote in his brief 30 years. Neander, a Reformed Church pasr in Dusseldorf, ermany in the late 1600 s, was a theologian as well as songwriter. His hymns were known for their triumphant character. This great erman hymn would not be know us, though, had it not been for Englishborn Catherine Winkworth, who, in 1863 almost 200 years after Neander translated the text in English. nd thanks a collection of hymns that was published in England in 1904, this great hymns has been sung for the last 100 years in the Englishspeaking Church. bout the Recording Randy Rothwell and Sal Oliveri worked out the arrangement which Randy leads us with his voice and acoustic guitar.
