1 PROGRAM 102 ENMITY BETWEEN THE SEEDS The Righteous Remnant (Part 1) A. Righteous Remnant 1. In Genesis 6, the entire earth had been corrupted because: All flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. Genesis 6:12 (NKJV) 2. This is what the enemy had intended by sowing tares in the wheat. 3. Wanted the world and its inhabitants destroyed. 4. This would undermine God s plan and almost worked except: But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD... Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God. Genesis 6:8-9 (NKJV) 5. This is not to say that he was without failure but to say he was undefiled. 6. Hebrew word translated perfect is tammim or unpolluted; acceptable. 7. This is the same word that describes animals presented to God as acceptable sacrifices. 8. Of course, this is exactly what Paul conveys to us that we are to be. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:1-2 (NKJV) 9. The word conform comes from a Greek word that means to twist together. 10. The obvious implication is that we are not to conform or MIX with this world. 11. Our minds must be renewed that we will not think as the world thinks but as God says. 12. He says we are to be living sacrifices, holy ( set apart ) ACCEPTABLE TO GOD (tammim) 13. Therefore, we presume that Noah and sons had not defiled themselves by taking wives of all whom they chose. 14. They did not mingle the two seeds righteous with profane. 15. Noah was indeed a righteous man for he was just ; the word being tzadik. a. The word tzadik is righteous which is doing what is right. b. God s word is what defines what is right and holy. 16. Not only did he practice righteousness but preached it. REFERENCE: 2 Peter 2:5 17. His purity and detachment from the profane saved human race from complete annihilation. 18. If he had mixed there would have been no undefiled seed of woman and thus the promise of that seed and the serpent s destruction would have come to naught.

2 B. Our Great Responsibility 1. So when Messiah likens days of His return to days of Noah, is He hinting at more than what we have imagined? 2. Is He hinting that, in the last days, there must and will be a righteous remnant who have responsibility to remain pure and undetached from the profane, Babylonian mindset of culture. 3. The days of Noah are not the Flood but the days that preceded it. 4. Thus, in advance of Messiah s return, we will see unprecedented mingling and corruption. 5. Messiah says this of the times: For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened. Matthew 24:21-22 (NKJV) 6. So these days under the heel of the last kingdom will be a time of unprecedented testing. 7. The big test will not to mix with the attitudes and mindset of the culture. 8. Remember, the seduction will be subtle, shrewd and crafty serpent s methodology. 9. Mark of the Beast will not be blatant 666 tattooed on someone s head. 10. It will be presented as something far less sinister but in accord with the Babylonian mindset. 11. The nature of the beast will become obvious when a remnant stands up to resist the mixing. 12. By resistance I mean this. 13. Nebuchadnezzar built an image of pure gold in the plain of Dura in Babylon. 14. Being of pure gold we understand that it was an image of himself he was head of gold. REFERENCE: Daniel 2: He commanded that all rulers, officials and notable people be gathered for the dedication. REFERENCE: Daniel 3:2 16. He then commanded that all people bow before the image of Nebuchadnezzar. Then a herald cried aloud: To you it is commanded, O peoples, nations, and languages, that at the time you hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, you shall fall down and worship the gold image that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up; and whoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast immediately into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. Daniel 3:4-6 (NKJV) 16. With beautiful music playing in the background, people were to bow to the image under the threat of death. 17. This sounds very similar to what we see in Revelation under the Antichrist. REFERENCE: Revelation 13: In Daniel 3, there is a remnant of people who refuse to bow down to the image. 19. Most know them as Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego but their real names are:

3 Hananiah Mishael Azariah 20. Under the threat of death, notice how they responded to the king of Babylon. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up. Daniel 3:16-18 (NKJV) 21. They did not seek to dethrone Nebuchadnezzar; they acknowledged he had been raised up by their God. 22. They nevertheless resisted his command because they were under a higher command 23. They were a righteous remnant that refused to mingle with ideology of their day. a. Noah resisted in the same manner. 24. This resistance attracts the contempt of society and even subjects us to violent intentions. 25. We have the assurance that, if we remain undefiled, our Father will keep us in the midst of the test (Philadelphia). REFERENCE: Revelation 3: There has always been, and will in the future be, a remnant of pure seed.

4 PROGRAM 103 ENMITY BETWEEN THE SEEDS The Righteous Remnant (Part 2) A. We Must Overcome 1. We have a great responsibility in these last days to remain undefiled by the culture. 2. This is our calling to be as Noah who was just and undefiled in his generations. a. As a result, Noah rose above the flood. 3. We are called to resist the pressure imposed by culture to conform as did the three Hebrews. 4. This is our responsibility even under the threat of death. 5. Because the three Hebrews did not submit, the Creator was glorified and they were saved. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in haste and spoke, saying to his counselors, Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said to the king, True, O king. Look! he answered, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. Daniel 3:23-25 (NKJV) 6. They went in bound, but came out loosened not even having the smell of smoke on them. 7. This prompted the king of Babylon to give glory to the God Heaven. REFERENCE: Daniel 3:29 8. We have the promise that: When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. Isaiah 43:2 (NKJV) 9. To attain this promise, we must walk with God which is to say, as He commands us. Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said, I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Therefore come out from among them and be separate, says the LORD. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you. I will be a Father to you, and you shall by my sons and daughters, says the LORD Almighty. 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 (NKJV)

5 10. This is what is required of us, if we are to overcome the Adversary and his snares. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Revelation 12:11 (NKJV) 11. When we resist the draw to mix with the culture, then we avoid the snare of the Adversary. 12. Moreover, this is how we overcome him and how we are spared the destruction that is coming to the earth as a result of the mingling and subsequent corruption. 13. Notice what Y shua tells the congregation of Philadelphia: I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept my word, and have not denied my name.... Because you have kept my command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Revelation 3:8, 10 (NKJV) 14. Because they keep His Word, implies they don t conform to world s standards don t mix. 15. As a result He keeps the Philadelphian congregation. 16. The Greek word used means to guard which is synonymous with the Hebrew concept. 17. He guards (protects) those who remain undefiled (tammim) and righteous (tzadik). B. Burned With Fire 1. When the flood/fire does come, they will pass through it and not be harmed. 2. The writer of Hebrews alludes to this as well. See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven. Now this, Yet once more, indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire. Hebrews 12:25-29 (NKJV) 3. He shook the earth when He spoke from Sinai but we will shake heaven and earth. 4. Y shua said the powers of the heavens will be shaken. REFERENCE: Luke 21:26 5. Everything is to be shaken when God utters His voice to remove things not worthy to stand. 6. This will also vindicate those things worthy of standing; built on the rock. 7. We are thus called to serve Him acceptably with reverence and godly fear. a. This reminds us of Noah and the three Hebrews. 8. It is the consuming fire that causes the shaking and destruction of those unworthy.

6 9. That same fire purifies and vindicates those who are worthy of remaining. 10. The wicked and the hills melt like wax at the presence of the LORD the consuming fire. REFERENCE: Psalm 68:2, 97:5 11. Yet, that same fire can reside within a bush that is not consumed. 12. Signifying that the presence of the LORD can vindicate and destroy simultaneously. a. Same flood that lifted Noah destroyed everyone else. b. Same fire that vindicated the Hebrews consumed those who cast them in. 13. Interesting to note what Hebrews 13:1 has to say in relation to this. Let brotherly love continue. Hebrews 13:1 (NKJV) 14. The word continue means to remain, to endure. 15. This implies that brotherly love will remain throughout the shaking of Hebrews Brotherly love will endure the consuming fire. 17. Brotherly love in Greek is philadelphia. 18. Implication is that those that keep His word and remain pure will endure the coming fire. 19. Most assuredly, there is an all-consuming fire that is about to sweep over the earth.

7 PROGRAM 104 ENMITY BETWEEN THE SEEDS The Righteous Remnant (Part 3) A. Cleansing the Field 1. What Philadelphia represents will endure the shaking of Hebrews The congregation of brotherly love will, in fact, be very prominent during this time. 3. Speaking to Philadelphia, He says: He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him my new name. Revelation 3:12 (NKJV) 4. Thus, those who keep His Word will be guarded and placed in a prominent position. 5. Those groping in darkness and maneuvering the ruins will look for something stable. 6. The pillars are part of what upholds the house. 7. Our resistance to mix is not only for our benefit but for benefit of those who will be devastated by what is coming. 8. His new name will be upon them, identifying them as His. 9. Y shua said: A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." John 13:34-35 (NKJV) 10. The congregation of Philadelphia tells us much. It is indicative of His disciples. They keep His Word and do not deny His authority. They will be guarded during the time of great testing. They will be placed in positions of prominence for benefit of others. They are the pure remnant the good seed. 11. God always has a remnant of pure seed. B. Cleansing the Field 1. According to the writings of Josephus, the children of Seth were knowledgeable and virtuous. 2. Revealed something about the future of the world they learned from Adam. They also were the inventors of that peculiar sort of wisdom which is concerned with the heavenly bodies, and their order. And that their inventions might not be lost before they were sufficiently known, upon

8 Adam's prediction that the world was to be destroyed at one time by the force of fire, and at another time by the violence and quantity of water, they made two pillars, the one of brick, the other of stone: they inscribed their discoveries on them both, that in case the pillar of brick should be destroyed by the flood, the pillar of stone might remain, and exhibit those discoveries to mankind; and also inform them that there was another pillar of brick erected by them. Antiquities of the Jews, Book 1, Chapter 2, Sect. III, Flavius Josephus 3. Interesting concepts mentioned here: Adam s comment on the flood and the fire. Pillars erected with inscriptions of important knowledge. One of brick (mixed) and one of stone (pure). One of stone expected to endure the flood that was coming. 4. It wasn t long after this days of Enosh - that idolatry and profanity appeared in earnest. 5. Wickedness became so extensive that God determined to destroy world and everything in it. 6. In a manner of speaking, God flooded His field (the world) in order to rid it of weeds. 7. Flood destroyed everything with exception of a remnant of pure seed (Noah and sons). 8. When the waters abated, He took the good seed, sowed into the ground and said: And as for you, be fruitful and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth and multiply in it. Genesis 9:7 (NKJV) 7. Wanted good seed (wheat) to multiply so that the field (world) would be filled with good seed. 8. This is what He had instructed Adam to do as well. 9. Didn t take long for the other seed (mixed) to sprout up again. 10. It begins to take root in Genesis 11 under Nimrud and the call to come together and mix. a. They didn t want to scattered abroad and multiply in the earth. 11. In a physical sense, if I flooded a field in order to rid it of weeds, it may or may not. 12. The weeds may pop up again and especially if the good seed doesn t choke it out. 13. The only sure way to rid the field of weeds is to burn it with fire. a. Once with water and once with fire. 14. The flood destroyed the wicked fruit but not the wicked seed, so fire will be used at the end. By the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 2 Peter 3:5-7 (NKJV) 15. In parable of wheat and tares Y shua said things that offend and those who practice lawlessness will be removed and burned with fire. REFERENCE: Matthew 13: Both the fruit (those lawless ones) and the seed/tree (thing that offends) will be burned up. 17. John the Baptist taught that at the coming of the Messiah:

9 Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. - Matthew 3:10 (NKJV) 18. In the end, only one tree/seed/word will remain in the midst of the New Jerusalem. But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life. Revelation 21:27 (NKJV) 19. That day is not yet here but we are in the days like those of Noah. 20. Men will profane His name in unprecedented fashion: Eat poisonous seed (words) Drink abominable things (woman of Revelation 17) Yoke (marry) themselves with unholy things. 21. This mingling results in great wickedness that corrupts the earth and brings God s judgment. He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; and He has avenged on her the blood of His servants shed by her. Revelation 19:2 (NKJV)
