Order Form 2010 Biblical Calendar This photo shows many of the dear ones who attended the retreat in Canada. Here we are all gathered along the back side of the main meeting hall. CHILDREN S MINISTRY The children and teens were a powerful part of the ministry team at this retreat. Our 9-year-old daughter Katy (pictured to the left of the black poles) lead the children s program daily. She was assisted by the Kaneshiro girls and Melissa, Tanja and Cassandra. This program for ages birth to 11 was a true blessing! There were children! Many of you had joined us in praying for YHWH to be glorified in the Feast of Tabernacles celebration in Canada. These prayers were abundantly answered for which we praise YHWH! Throughout the entire retreat, 120 people attended what meetings they could. The daily attendance ranged from There were many Torah observant Seventh-day Adventists. There were also many from other walks of faith including: Catholics, Pentecostals and Messianics. Throughout the week, folks from all of these walks expressed a sincere desire to follow YHWH in full obedience to His Holy Torah. One precious lady said that she had come to the feast drinking wine and coffee and was now leaving all of that behind as she stepped forward in renewed commitment to serve YHWH wholly. A family discovered that the enemy was attacking one of their young children. During one of the nights (1:30 AM) toward the beginning of the retreat the child began to scream and manifest in obviously supernatural ways. One family member rushed out of the cabin to try to find us, but didn t know which cabin we were in. Praying for help in this supernatural battle for the child, the lady was impressed to use the Keys to Living Like You ve Been Saved booklet as a guidebook for how to pray and respond to this crisis. Re-entering the cabin, she grabbed the book and prayed over the child. (Continued on page 2)

2 Page 2 Mark baptizes two young teens (Jordan pictured on top and Lacee pictured below) among the seven. These dear ones were baptized in the body of Yeshua (as the apostles did of old). The laying on of hands was also part of a normal baptism in the early Christian church. The children wave the Tabernacles branches as they rejoice before YHWH in the outdoor banquet on the first Sabbath of Tabernacles. The Lighted Way A Holy Spirit Filled Sukkot in Canada (continued) Suddenly the thought flashed into the mother s mind to remove the child s Christmas-patterned pajamas. Still praying, she quickly complied. The child immediately calmed and the family praised YHWH for His help and for revealing the need for spiritual deliverance. As the mother shared later, prior to the feast, she had felt rebellion building in her heart toward Torah. When she learned about the feasts, Satan warred in her heart. At one point, she even rebelled enough to buy MORE Christmas things. The child s pajamas were a fruit of this. But, before the week was out, the whole precious family came for a prayer and anointing. They are now prepared for victory and enabled to respond to the attacks of the enemy in YHWH s wonderful strength. On the last Seventh-day Sabbath of the Feast, in response to the requests, a baptism was held in the lake. There were seven dear ones who were baptized, demonstrating their commitment to walk in obedience to Torah and serve the Saviour faithfully. Many gathered by the edge of the lake to sing and listen as the baptismal recipient s testimonies were read. Following the water baptism, the group returned to the main building to lay hands on the newly baptized individuals. Together we prayed over them asking for the Holy Spirit to fill them and use them mightily in service, as Mark anointed them with oil. With her permission, the following is the testimony of Lacee Landry (which she had written for us to read at her baptism): I came to YHWH this week. I realized my old sinful nature and how ugly it is. I also saw how beautiful the Heavenly Father is. I realized something else while I claimed to be a believer, to be Messianic, I truly was not... After finding this place filled with true believing people, fishers of men, I realized what true happiness is. It is pleasing YHWH and not ourselves Therefore I thank Him and all of you for helping me find true happiness: the Almighty One. And I know He thanks each one who helped me in this transformation from dead to living to a butterfly not a caterpillar with the wings taped on! YHWH has found one of His lost sheep you can be sure of that! For all is well with my soul And I can never be the same. (Testimony of Lacee Landry, October 10, 2009) In addition to these baptisms, there were 16 individuals who were anointed and prayed over, for the purpose of consecrating them to holiness under YHWH. Many who did not partake of the anointing with us, expressed plans to go home and anoint their households in response to the major reformation YHWH was accomplishing in hearts at this retreat. One very enjoyable and memorable part of Tabernacles was a delightful, outdoor, barbeque-style banquet in honor of Yeshua s first and second Advents. Chris and Shelley Roose had planned this wonderful celebration. We enjoyed it so much that we hope to implement it into our future feast planning. The evening included a roasted, vegan meal (potatoes, corn, and even bread dough on sticks instead of marsh mellows!). We sang songs about Yeshua s birth and second coming (as He was born at this time, and will come again at Tabernacles). continued on page 3

Thank you Shelley and Chris Roose for all of your months of preparation and planning as well as trouble-shooting, etc to keep things going smoothly. Your gift of time, funds and organization made this powerful feast possible. Thank you Brenda, Denny, Elijah, Tabitha, Elizabeth and Esther Kaneshiro for blessing us all with health information, camera work, music, and help in the children s program. Thank you Ray Foucher for also sharing with us on health and for your blogspot to advertise this feast. Thank you George Maier for playing the accordion at the baptism and other music. Thank you Beverly Gayan (and Chris) for leading out in song service and teaching us new Hebrew songs! Thank you also to everyone who prayed for or attended this retreat. A Holy Spirit Filled Sukkot in Canada - continued Later we gathered around the campfire and looked up at the stars as we located many of the constellations being studied in the Mazzaroth series. It all concluded with a spiritually themed gift exchange. The week concluded with another memorable moment. We all enjoyed a lovely, indoor, Marriage Supper of the Lamb banquet. For this, Shelley and Chris had provided mouthwatering middle Eastern dishes as well as meaningful foods to go along with the PowerPoint and music of the program. We ate bread as we told of its spiritual significance. We enjoyed olives and olive oil and grape juice as we talked about the significance of those foods in the Lamb s Marriage. We concluded with 12 different kinds of fruit (and baklava) as we spoke of the day when we d all eat from the Tree of Life. The program itself was a story of what will happen from the moment we see Yeshua come in the sky until the Marriage of the Lamb. This program was interspersed with inspirational hymns and special music selections by Denny Kaneshiro (right) on violin. In addition to seeing the Father s hand in what took place at this feast, we were also praising Him for the stories of HOW the people came to attend. One story stands out in our minds: A lovely lady, who quickly grew very precious to us, had been keeping the feasts alone with her family for several years. Desiring a group to meet with, she had searched the Internet in the hopes of finding a Sukkot Feast. After fruitlessly searching over a period of several days, she was near giving up. Then, a couple of nights before the retreat began, she sat at her computer to search one last time. Near tears she poured out her heart s desire to YHWH to help her find a group. She prayed that, if He wanted her to attend a feast, she would be able to find one. Then she began another Internet search, like she had so many times before. But, this time, YHWH helped her and the Lighted Way Ministries website came up. Reading it quickly, her heart was overjoyed. She fired an off to Shelley and Chris Roose (the couple organizing the feast in Canada) asking for a place at the retreat. Then, unable to contain her excitement long enough to wait for a response, she called Shelley. With joy, she found that there was still room and quickly reserved a place. This dear sister brought joy to all our hearts as she blessed us time and again by her healing hands and willing spirit. She also was blessed. We truly saw the Father s leading in bringing us up to Canada. And praise Him for what He accomplished there! Three friends at the outdoor banquet. 4 Page 4 Finding Freedom Behind Bars Ernest and Wanda Haney; two committed, newly- Torah-observant Christians, have been serving the Heavenly Father by ministering to the men in the James Crabtree Correctional Center prison in Oklahoma (pictured below). In fact it was through their work in this prison that the Haneys first learned about the feasts (from a few of the prisoners!). Having come across Lighted Way Ministries materials, the Haney s have ordered numerous DVD s and materials from us in the past. Then, on Sabbaths, they have been taking the DVD s into the J.C.C.C. prison to play them for some of the men. The men in this study group are accepting (or had accepted) the beauty of Torah and are hungry for more. We have been receiving letters from several of them expressing appreciation for the DVD messages and requesting printed materials. Gladly we have sent several packages of materials to the believers in this prison.the materials we have sent the inmates in this study group have included: The Testimony of the Moon, Statutes for the Remnant, His Sign, the Daniel 8 Tabloid, the Daniel book, Heresy Columbus and the Inquisition, and the Keys to Living Like You ve Been Saved booklet (among others). The men read the materials and then share them with the other members of the group. In addition, they look forward to the weekly Sabbath meetings (with the Haney s) where they have watched DVD s including Daniel s 70 week prophecy series and the Sabbath More Fully among others. Through these studies, the work of the inmate believers themselves, and the ministry of the Haneys; a small group of feast-keeping, Torah-faithful men is growing. One of the members of this prison study group wrote and informed us that he even has a small shofar. The Lighted Way He was able to blow it for the group during the ten days from Trumpets to Atonement. Following this shofar blowing, the men would enjoy a few minutes of prayer as they briefly gathered together. Due to the regulations of the prison, they cannot meet together for long on a daily basis. But, they do what they can and eagerly anticipate the longer Sabbath meetings. Some of these believers face 70+ years of incarceration. But, this physical incarceration can t prevent them from finding spiritual freedom. Having read the Keys to Living Like You ve Been Saved booklet, one inmate expressed his desire to experience an anointing. Please join us in praying for these brothers in the faith, as they are finding new freedom even behind bars. Pray also that they will continue to serve the Master right where they are in the darkness of the J.C.C.C. men s prison. May YHWH bless them in this needed ministry!
