2 EZRA chapter 1 QUESTIONS: 1. Read II Chronicles 36:15-21 Describe the situation in Judah at this time. 2. Read through the book of Ezra twice. Note the Biblical themes. Ex: God s Faithfulness 3. Compare 1:1-1:4 and II Chron. 36: Who is king at the time of the events in Chapter 1? What year did this occur? 5. Which prophet had identified the events in chapter 1? Note the passages where the prophecies were given. 6. Vs. 1 - How did the king s proclamation go out to all his kingdom? See Esther 3: Did all of the exiles return? 8. What do we learn about God in this chapter? 9. List practical applications from this chapter.

What is a free will offering? 6. Where did the building materials for the temple restoration come from? How were they shipped? 7. Describe emotions of the people at the time the temple foundation was completed. 8. What do we learn about God from this chapter? 9. List practical applications from this chapter.
