7 Introduction What you are about to read is the personal diary of Aamir Al- Mamoura who, for the benefit of his brother and sons, recorded his activities during his time in the United States collecting data and / or confirming data previously collected by other radical Islamic Muslim agents. This is a significant document as it s the first time captured data has been reported unedited, except for needed translation, to the public. As the diary is presented without the knowledge of the FBI or Homeland Security it has been published outside the United Sates. Ninety-five percent of all terrorist activity is never made public. However, this document is so chilling it will cause even the most doubtful individuals genuine and immediate concern. Should the reader think the daily posted terror threat levels are just so much government fear tactics be prepared to re-think your opinion. The journal was retrieved from an Internet back-up storage facility after local police, FBI and Homeland Security agents found a web address in a motel trashcan. Additional photos and documents were found in deleted laptop files restored by the investigators. The original writing is in Arabic, the most common Middle-Eastern language, and required translation for this publication. In an effort to present as accurate a document as possible two independent translators, unknown to each other and in different locations, worked on the document. While it s difficult for a translation to convey inflections and subtleties with 100% accuracy footnotes are provided in order to clarify the reader s understanding. A copy of each original page, in Arabic, is included immediately preceding the associated English language translation. 7

8 You will notice that Aamir sometimes ends a day with calligraphy like words or phrases, a simple drawing or just some doodling depending on his mood and space available on each page. When the phrase, drawing or doodle can be understood, it is translated or deciphered and included in the English translation that follows. The event causing suspicion and eventual discovery of Aamir s activities was a simple fender bender in a motel parking lot. Another guest bumped Aamir s car, breaking the taillight but when reported to the motel office no corresponding guest could be matched with the damaged vehicle. A note was left on the windshield but, after 24 hours when no one contacted the front desk and the car remained in the same location, local police were notified. Registrations for guests who had not supplied an automobile make, model or license number were checked. Aamir was the only one without a car. Interviews of the staff turned up several instances where a gentleman, registered as Gregory W. Burris in room 119, had made numerous inquiries regarding local streets. A call to his company, Canadian National Engineering of Toronto, showed no record of him as an employee, agent or consultant. The police, complying with the latest procedure bulletin from Homeland Security, contacted the IID (Initial Identification Division) providing all known information regarding Mr. Burris. When It was determined that no such person had rented a car from any US or Canadian agency in the past 60 days and his home address was bogus it was suspected that he was either a wanted criminal or the agent of a foreign government. Unknown to Aamir he was photographed, his fingerprints lifted from his room and matched against the NJ State Police, FBI and Homeland Security Databases. There were no hits on the State Police or FBI Databases however; a photo match from Homeland Security returned the following: 8

After local police cleared the motel, FBI and Homeland Security agents arrested him as he was preparing to checkout. Aamir was born in Cairo, Egypt on August 24,1970, his father, an antiquities dealer, had a Palestinian background and was an old school friend of Yassir Arafat. His mother died when he was seven and his father, who was not much of a family man, sent him to live with a brother in Jerusalem where he witnessed first-hand the Israeli occupation. His uncle was arrested during an Israeli sweep of the neighborhood and since no other adult male was in the home Aamir was sent to live with relatives in a refugee camp. Several years later he returned to Cairo when his father needed help managing the import-export portion of his expanding business Pieces of Our Past, Inc. It s here that Aamir, who had become angry at the Israeli occupation forces treatment of Palestinians, met and became a favorite of Arafat. His father s company, having all required licenses in place, was assisting Fatah with the purchase, import and export of weapons and explosives. In 1995 Aamir received his Master s Degree in Civil Engineering from Cairo University where both his father and Arafat graduated in 1956 when it was called the University of Faud I. Note 1: MER is the acronym for Middle Eastern Radical. Note 2: The most powerful military group within the PLO. Note 3: Arabic acronym for the Islamic Resistance Movement. 10 In 1991 he was part of an educational exchange program, USASEP (United States Arabic Student Exchange Program) and spent a year studying at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Hence his future perfect fit for assignment to the US in general and New Jersey in particular. There is little record of activities after his graduation in 1992 until 1998 when he became the Financial Director of Hamas with the primary responsibility for distribution of funds to support West Bank social services in particular and foreign pro-islamic, anti- American groups in general. From scattered intelligence it appears that from 1996 into 1998 he was learning weapons and intelligence skills at various training sites in Syria and Iran. He became visible again in late January 1998 when he was photographed at several rallies supporting Palestinian causes. Some analysts are of the opinion that, due to his training in civil engineering, he reviewed and modified the 9/11 plan of attack. This is quite possible, as some documents have been found that lend credence to this suspicion. During 2000 to 2004 the so-called Intifada 1 or second uprising ignited fighting in which over 4,000 Palestinians and 1,200 Israelis were killed. The extreme violence continued unabated for four plus years and marked the beginning of the suicide bomber attacks, promoted by Hamas, which accounted for the majority of Israeli deaths. Note 1: Intifada refers to the civil disobedience by Palestinians against the Israeli s occupation in 1987 and again in The term literally means, shaking off in Arabic. 10

11 While Aamir did not agree with the bombings, he felt they killed and injured too many Muslims in particular women and children, he couldn t, due to his position, publicly argue against them. He was ordered by his superiors to remain silent and concentrate on his own responsibilities. Financial records captured by the Israelis indicate that Aamir was an active financial administrator directing money to every Islamic hospital, children s charity and the families of Holy Warriors, including suicide bombers, who had died for the Palestinian cause. Included in the foreign entities were donations to various organizations in the United States such as NAIFS (The North American Islamic Freedom Society, ACLU (The American Civil Liberties Union), MWTC (The Muslim Western Trade Committee) and many other groups and web sites that Hamas believed would cause domestic unrest and present challenges to our government and way of life. At some point in 2005 he requested a transfer to an operational group citing fluency in English and knowledge of weapons as well as his familiarity and past residency within the United States. From currently available intelligence it appears he arrived in the US and began operations during Keep in mind that Aamir is only one of many such agents who are active in this country sometimes with the help and support of US citizens who, due to their heritage, sympathy or strong antigovernment sentiment feel justified in supporting any anti- American effort. 11

17 Day One At last I am in the heart of the Great Satan due to the dedication and bravery of our people at the security checkpoints in Bahrain, London and New York according to the will of The Prophet, peace be with Him. My greeter directed me to a waiting car that brought me to the motel where I ll be for the next several weeks. I was very tired and the last thing I recalled seeing was a sign reading You Are leaving Newark Liberty Airport - Enjoy Your Stay. When I awoke we were at the motel directly in front of my room which had been booked days before. The driver gave me a key card, disposable cell phone, helped with my luggage and left saying only, Allah be with you. The quarters are quite comfortable and functional as I have a large bed, a desk and chair, a private bathroom with a shower, sink and even a hair dryer. At home this is how the upper class would live but here its average or even below for an American. There is also a telephone that I have been instructed to use only for ordering food as all mission relevant communications must be via encoded or, in an emergency, cell phone. 17

18 Dominating the room is a large television that I can use to become more familiar with our quarry. I must await delivery of an automobile and the equipment for use in recording and mapping potential targets. Until then I am not to leave the room or speak to anyone other than to go for or order meals. Discovery or suspicion is minimal as a close by corporate center that is within walking distance accounts for constant transient traffic both here and at two other close by hotels. There is an entertainment theater close by that recreates medieval jousts with knights on horseback. The building appears as a castle, accommodates numerous tours from New York City hotels and could be a possible target of opportunity. Being only one of many who will share in glory when the Great Satan collapses from within I know that Allah will welcome us, as he does all true believers, with loving embrace and eternal happiness. I am keeping this record for you, my sons and brother, should I not be able to return home, so you may know that I have done my duty to support, plan and, with God s will, assist in the execution of the great event yet to come. I am very tired after so much travel and some tension while avoiding the 18

19 truly laughable security that Americans believe will protect them from the soldiers of our faith. After evening prayers, I will rest and hopefully be able to begin my assignment in the morning. In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Praise be to You, Lord of the Worlds, Owner of the Day of Judgment. Thee alone we worship. Thee alone we ask for help. Show us the straight path.
