2 PURPOSE 2 Original Nation Magazine was conceived by faithful and humble followers of the principles and practices of Islam as taught by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (God). Writings in this periodical shall consist of thoughts of Black Men and Black Women (Original Muslims) those who bear witness that Allah (God), the Supreme Being, came in the Person of Master W. F. Muhammad and raised Messenger Elijah Muhammad as the Divine Leader, Teacher and Guide for us all. Journey with us as we explore the profound realm of wisdom, knowledge and understanding that evolves from the ORIGINAL NA- TION divine reality that encompasses some 78 trillion years of everpresent existence and principled accomplishment. Islam, as brought to the Hells of North America by Allah, Master Fard Muhammad, and taught for some 40 years by His Messenger, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, is that which gives vision to all who accept their own and join on to their own kind. We propose to continue to develop a new mind (body of thoughts and ideas) among Black people in America and also throughout the world (earth). We, the Muslims, pray to Allah, Master Fard Muhammad, through His Messenger, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, that we are granted success in this and every other righteous endeavor we undertake. 3 Editor s Note Volume 6, Issue 1 June September, 2012 In the Name of Allah, Master Fard Muhammad, and in the name of His Messenger, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. As-Salaam-Alaikum. As the Western world civilization of Adam and Eve (the white race) draws to a close Black civilization must step up to the plate to ensure a progressive and prosperous future. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad teaches us that this future cannot be based upon and will not be based upon the standards which have been set into motion and utilized for the past 6,000 years. We who believe in and follow the teachings of Allah, Master Fard Muhammad, through His Messenger the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, have been working diligently and constantly since this program was established in Original Nation Magazine 3 the Hells of North America in the area of Detroit, Michigan in The many obstacles hurled against Messenger Elijah Muhammad and his followers since the beginning of the Nation of Islam in North America will not deter us from reaching our goal-a free and independent nation of our own in a land we can truly call our own. Messenger Muhammad addressed this matter in an article which he wrote in the early 1960 s. Please read and study it as it can be found on pages in this publication. As the devil (the white race) continues on with business as usual, all Black people must be about the business of giving back to white people all that they have given us to keep us enslaved to them. 4 Farm Progress The Summer of 2012 Progress Reports from Lee, Maine - Gloucester, Virginia - Henrico, Virginia and Charles City, Virginia. In the Name of Allah, Master Fard Muhammad, and of His Messenger, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. As- Salaam-Alaikum. Farming Operation Prospers During Hottest Summer On Record The Summer of 2012, according to weather reports, was the hottest on record in most of the United States of America. The rainfall was also at one of its lowest levels; yet followers of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad who embarked on a farming and agriculture project were extremely blessed with much produce. From the States of Maine to Virginia, Muslims were able to plant and reap a bountiful harvest of vegetables, and some fruits. To many, this was a learning process; others had some experience in this venture. Fruits produced included apples, grapes, peaches and nectarines. Vegetables planted and harvested included green beans, cabbage, okra, lettuce, squash, tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, watermelons, and egg plant. There were many challenges to overcome in having a successful agriculture operation. These included keeping insects from destroying the crops; having sufficient water and moisture in 4 the soil to keep proper growth and development; removing weeds that could stunt plant growth; and having proper nutrients in the soil. Messenger Elijah Muhammad Teaches Us That Land Must Be Fertile and Minerally Rich As students and followers of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, we must learn how to produce foods on a constant basis in order to feed ourselves. These foods must be produced on land in an environment wherein the soil is fertile and minerally rich. Many who planted crops learned that the best times to water the crops was early in the morning before the heat of the day set in or late in the evening near the time of the setting of the sun. Youth and Adults Do Extensive Agricultural Studies Some members of the Muslim family in the Virginia area engaged in the process of pickling certain crops, storing them for future consumption. In addition to this, many of the Muslim youth have taken on a project to study which crops grow best in different regions of the country and during which seasons. The results of their studies will be presented during a special presentation on the Banquet Night (February 25th) during Saviour s Day Week activities. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad teaches us in his book How To Eat To Live, that proper foods and proper preparation of these foods is very important in our food and agriculture program. Therefore, Bro. Batin Muhammad of Gloucester, Virginia will also make a detailed presentation on this matter on Banquet Night during Saviour s Day Week activities. The Believers agree that the Muslim Farm program is just the beginning of a long and rewarding program for success. 5 In the Most Holy Name of Allah, Who came in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad, to Whom all Praises are due forever, and in the name of His Last and Greatest Messenger, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. As- Salaam-Alaikum. Behold, I will send you Elijah : not Louis, not Clarence, not Silas, not Royall, and certainly not Marvin. ELI- JAH!!! Allah Chooses Only One Messenger Allah, Who came to us in the Person of Master W.F. Muhammad, chose personally the Honorable Elijah Muhammad to be His servant and Apostle; yet, today we have many different men who claim to be some sort of successor to, or extension of, The Messenger. This shows a great lack of study on (the part of) those of us who claim to believe; for if we truly studied our Lessons we would see clearly that the most Honorable Elijah Muhammad is the LAST MESSENGER OF ALLAH, and that after him would come God and not a successor. All of these hypocrites claim to be Muslims and claim rightful leadership over the Nation, and they claim to believe that Allah did in fact come to us in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad. How can you claim that and not believe that Elijah Muhammad is the LAST Messenger of Almighty God Allah? If you say you believe in Master Fard Muhammad then you have got to believe that the Most Honorable Elijah 5 BEHOLD, I WILL SEND YOU ELI- JAH By Brother Sean X Muhammad is the Last Messenger; it goes hand in hand. We ve got to know today, Who is God, that we may not make a mistake and serve other than Him Louis Farrakhan In Louis Farrakhan s 1991 speech Who is God, he made a statementand I quote, We ve got to know today, Who is God, that we may not make a mistake and serve other than Him. Despite what many may feel about Louis Farrakhan, we must bear witness that this is a true statement. By not recognizing that Elijah Muhammad is the LAST Messenger of Allah, we in fact are worshipping other than God (Master Fard Muhammad). Just because we bear witness that Allah is God, and that He came in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad does not mean that we are in good standing with God (Master Fard Muhammad), because He chose the Messenger. When we dismiss the Messenger we are dismissing Allah and His divine choice, and clear instructions. We Need A National Unity So here we are, a nation divided by false leaders. Some scattered here, some scattered there; some under this one, some under that one, but none having an overall national unity or a national influence on today s society. When the Messenger was amongst us we were a Nation united and strong because we all had the same ideology; we all knew Allah to be God and Muhammad to be His Divine Messenger. But now, due to a bad case of the students trying to out do the teacher we have no power on a national scale. Therefore, we have a whole bunch of small groups spread out instead of one group of believers that have power and influence on a national level. We Must All Come Back To The Foundation Please consider this as a warning; we must all come back to the foundation. Any and everyone who claims Master Fard Muhammad, Elijah Muhammad and the Nation of Islam needs to put down the Ego s, and the idol worship of men and ministers. This is not entertainment where one follows personality. This is faith where one must follow God and Divine instructions, We must bear witness that Allah is God Who came in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad, and that the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad is His LAST Messenger. If we all bear witness to this and nothing else, then we all can return to being a strong united Black Nation of Islam, As-Salaam- Alaikum. Since its inception (circa 1930 s), Muhammad s University of Islam had held tenaciously to the Divine Principles set forth by Almighty God Allah, Master Fard Muhammad, through His Last Messenger, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. He (HEM) states, I am for the acquiring of knowledge as we now call it; education. You must teach and train your boys and girls in your own schools and colleges (universities). And keep your little children, especially little girls, from mixing with white children. The education and training of our children must not be limited to the three Rs (reading, riting and rithmetic only). It should instead include the history of the black nation, the knowledge of civilizations of man and the Universe, and all sciences they can learn. Learning is a great virtue and I would like to see all the children of my followers become professors of it. It will make us an even greater people tomorrow. We must instill within our people the desire to learn and then use that learning for self. We must be obsessed with getting the type of education we may use toward the elevation and benefit of our people -when we have such people among us, we must make it possible for them to acquire this wealth (education) which will be beneficial and useful to us. Even through the devil s educational system, we have tried other means and ways and we have failed. Thus, the education needed by our people is the divine knowledge, the attribute of God, which creates power to accomplish and make progress in the good and righteous things. We have tried other means and we have failed. The word university is defined as an institution for higher learning". However, the difference lies in Muhammad s and Islam - unrestricted, unlimited, unrivaled, unparalleled, and unbridled. As- Salaam-Alaikum.

7 7 If It s Light You Want Eyes Open, Yet Still Asleep By Brother Hakeem Muhammad In the Name of Allah, Master Fard Muhammad, and in the name of His Last and Greatest Messenger, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. As- Salaam-Alaikum. Allah (God) Finds The Lost Sheep To Restore Them Back To Life In 1930, Master Fard Muhammad, Allah in Person, came to America to begin the work of awakening our people with a teaching that restores. Here He found a mentally dead people called Negroes. Here in America He found the lost sheep (people)-referred to in scripture-who were made deaf, dumb and blind. Our history bears witness that we are the people who have been made other than self. This was done by an unscrupulous people known as white people, whom we now know to be a race of devils. They stripped us of the knowledge of self, kind, others and religion. To replace that which was taken from us, they implanted in us a new mind. This new mind has made them our new standard. They provided us with a new relig ion (Christianity), a new God (an unseen entity), and made us a people without a knowledge of self, far removed from our original selves. They put us to sleep with our eyes wide open and our minds closed. The coming of Allah in Person brings about the end to the condition in which we have been placed. He has raised one from amongst us to turn our hearts back to that which is our own. He, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, is the first begotten of us-a mentally dead people. All that is being done today is in fulfillment of scripture. This is the time the world of white people have long dreaded, as it marks the end of their given 6,000 year rulership. It marks the end of their world and the restoration of the Blackman s world. Our people have long listened to and believed in the religious teachings of white people regarding God, Whom they imply is white; they also believe that this same God would some day give us a place in heaven after we have died. They also had us believing that our hopes for a better life while we live, and even after physical death, is with a dead prophet called Jesus. We would only have had to be good, love everybody, and follow the teachings given in their religion, Christianity. Many Still Await Relief From Our Oppressors With all the truth of this race of devils and their mistreatment of us, a downtrodden people, many of us still are waiting for our oppressors to give us relief. Allah has sent forth the answer to our long yearning for relief in a teaching of salvation coming from His last Messenger, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. Why do so many of us fail to accept and recognize the truths he brings? Are we so steeped in the white man s way of life (which is a death-style) that we fear to go to that which we have long prayed for? Have we been made so deaf, dumb and blind that the light of Allah cannot reach us? I think not. We have been so in love with our open enemy that we actually fear joining on to our own. This action is not one that is approved by the former slavemasters. We admit that the conditioning of us plays a major part on our slow turn to that which Allah s Messenger brings. Yet, we are well aware that he speaks the truth. We love hearing his words, his pointing out that which we readily recognize to be valid through our own experiences. All that he delivers is relevant. His teachings to us about both Bible and Qur-an gives us a proper understanding of scripture, and it awakens us. He makes scripture clear; yet, many hold on to that which the slavemasters have given in their Christian teachings. We Must Accept the Teachings of the New Islam We must come to know that which is prophesied for this day and time. The teachings of this new Islam, under the guidance of Allah s Last and Greatest Messenger, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, is a religion of salvation for our people. Separation from the white race and the unity of our own people, he teaches, are the keys to our success. We can no longer accept the false promises of our enemies; we must fly to Allah. With all the truth that is before us today, too many of our people walk around with their eyes open, yet are still asleep. Wake up before it is too late. As-Salaam-Alaikum.

8 8 The Urgent Need For A Nation Of Islam Islam Is Our Way of Life By Brother Jeremiah A. Obey In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful, Who came in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad, and in the name of His Messenger, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. As-Salaam-Alaikum. ALL I am concerned with is the so-called American Negro, who takes everybody as his brother; he says of himself that he loves everybody. I am concerned with him because of obedience to the Messenger of Allah. The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, the preacher of Freedom, Justice, and Equality to our people, teaches the Urgent Need for a Nation of Islam. The Nation of Islam s sole responsibility is to minister to the Black man and to give the Black man everything that he needs; so let me start as the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad would start, which is by informing the Black man of the race of devils with whom our people have fallen in love. Benjamin Franklin, a white scientist once stated: Why increase the sons of Africa, by planting then in America, where we have so fair an opportunity, by excluding all Blacks and Tawnies, and increasing the lovely White and Red? Thomas Jefferson, a former U.S. President said, I advance it, therefore, as a suspension only, that Blacks, whether originally a distinct race or made distinct by time and circumstance, are inferior to the Whites in the endowments of both body and mind. Another former U.S. President, Abraham Lincoln, stated: There is a physical difference between the White and the Black races which I believe will forever forbid the two races living together...while they do remain together, there must be the position of superior and inferior, and I as much as any man am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the White race. These direct quotes, from a scientist and two U. S. Presidents that are among the founding fathers of America, are clear proof that they (Whites) all are a race of Devils, and that there is an urgent need for a Nation of Islam. Since the so-called Negro cannot point it out to me, I will point it out to you. Speaking to the Virginia House of Delegates in 1832, Henry Berry said: We have, as far as possible, closed every avenue by which the light may enter the slave s mind. If we could extinguish the capacity to see the light, our work will be complete. They would then be on the level of the beast of the fields and we would be safe. Allah, the best Knower and Judge, between the Black Nation, and the White race, has raised in our very midst, the leader, teacher and guide for us - the lost and now found Holy Nation of Islam-the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, who teaches the Urgent Need for a Nation of Islam. Let Allah judge between us and them, and the hypocrites and disbelievers who take Allah and His Messenger and religion for a mockery. That awful day of yours is here and you, the White race, are hasting it by your evil intentions and doings to us, the poor Black people. Let us close by saying this out of your Bible, because we did get the Bible from you, the White race. Ye have condemned and killed the just and he doth not resist you. (James 5:6). You have destroyed many towns, cities, and people. As thou has divided the so-called Negroes one against the other, so Allah shall divide you and your brethren. As you have done to others so shall it be done to thee. It s in your book, the Bible. I, Jeremiah Abdul Obey, say just as it is written, When the cities are set on fire, this is a sign of the end of you as a power. As-Salaam-Alaikum. By Sister Valeria Obey In the Name of Allah, Master Fard Muhammad, and His Messenger, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. Islam is our way of life. In our actions, this is what we need to show. Christianity is only the religion of the White man. This is what they do not want us to know. Islam is a way of life; not really a religion-you see. All Black people are born Muslim by nature; the White man has kept this from you and me. Over here in America, we go by the names that he named us, but these names are not originally ours. Having this knowledge is a must. We have been robbed of our knowledge of our God, culture, and name. Our way of life and the White man s (devil s) is definitely not the same. He has European names such as Jones, Jackson, and Dean; For our names are that of the Arabic language-names like Malika, Latifah, and Hakeem. As-Salaam-Alaikum

9 9 (...WE SHALL BE CHANGED) In the Most Holy Name of Almighty God, Who Came in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad, to Whom all Praises are forever due. We forever thank Allah for our divine Leader, Teacher and Guide, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. As-Salaam-Alaikum. 1 Corinthians 15:51-54 (51) Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, (52) In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (53) For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. (54) So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. How did we become what we are today? Well it s a long story cause it started yesterday. It s ending watching soaps, sneaking drags, nips on the stoop Cause now time s up for folks corrupting our youth. We don t understand to what we re opening our minds When we practice evil habits yet want lives of Divine. Watching TV daily we re involved with their lives Knowing consciously they re acting, liars with lies. Deceptions and betrayals and all evils their norm We figured that just watching them would do us no harm. But suggestions strike a note that we sing for a while Until we wake and understand that isn t God s style. Desires, games, addictions and excesses of all kinds, Weakness for any evil will destroy every time. You think a little bit of time for deviation s okay, Last thoughts of Babylon and those who died in Pompeii. Little bit by tiny bit, evil eats at your soul, Consuming all your morals, confidence and your goals Before you know what s bit you, you re corrupt as can be Rotten to the core, no good, destructive to you and me. But Allah is on the scene today destroying evil s roots Spreading Truth, exposing tricks, giving righteousness new shoots. He Sounds the Trumpet of Truth that raises the mentally dead Erasing slavery teachings that put us in the grave. Allah Grants us New Wisdom, Understanding and Might, No weapons, just His Words to victor Armageddon's fight. Allah is Omnipotent and forever to be Praised Cause after He gets through we ll be incorruptibly raised! Have a Happy and Prosperous Saviour's Day 2013

10 10 ALLAH OFFERS YOU A FUTURE want you as a brother. They have shown they don t recognize you as their equal. Why don t you exercise that freedom which they offer you and go back to your own? You and I, the so-called American Negro, are helpless without Allah (God) and Islam, which is the religion of God, His prophets, and our people. We are at the mercy of the Christian World. What has the Christian World done for you and me? Why should we want to remain in it? Have not they continued to segregate you, line you up and burn you; don t they continue to beat your heads, and your brains burst out over your ears and eyes? They have done these things to us. They did these things even as you called yourself a Christian. They have shown that they don t If our share of this earth is not in this western hemisphere, then we must look for it in the east. However, 25,000,000 so-called Negroes who have been lost from their own people for 400 years must have a home on this earth that they can call their own. Allah, the Great God of the universe, will give us the whole earth if we submit to Him, and have patience to wait on Him. Regardless of the cost, we must have some earth of our own. Let not the false show and promises of this world deceive you so that you be the loser. You make yourself a despised people in the eyes of the civilized world by hating yourself, and loving the enemy devil. The Original man, Allah has declared, is none other than the black man. He is the first and last, maker and owner of the Universe. The brown, yellow, red and white, all come from the black man. The black

11 man used a special method of birth control law to produce the white race. The true knowledge of black and white mankind should be enough to awaken the so-called Negroes, put them on their feet and on the road to self-independence. You, my people, are so afraid of the slavemaster that you even love them to the point of your own destruction. You wish the bearer of truth would not tell the truth even if he knows it. You hate a leader that tries to unite you to your own kind. Allah offers you a future, an eternal future. This world has no future. It was doomed when it was created. I speak and write what has been given to me from Allah (God) to Whom praise is due. I am not here to excite you for wealth or praise. I don t want your wealth. I don t want your praise. I want for you the thing which will produce unity of self and our kind. I want you safe. The world knows that I want you safe. What I preach is for our own life and the life of our children. It is Allah s will and purpose that we shall know ourselves. He came Himself to teach us the knowledge of self. How else may you account for the 11 success of my followers and myself? Who is better knowing of who we are than God Himself? All praise is due to the Great Mahdi (Allah in Person), Who was to come and has come. He is the Sole Master of the Worlds. I ask myself at times, What can I do to repay Allah (the Great Mahdi, Fard Muhammad) for His coming, wisdom, knowledge and understanding? My followers and I have and are still spending much time and money to awaken our people to the knowledge of self. We are suffering much persecution and ridicule to awaken our people to the knowledge of their own salvation. Our present suffering is nothing compared to the joy that awaits us as a people united for one common cause serving Allah, The God of Abraham, Moses, Jesus and our forefathers. Allah has declared that we must know ourselves and unite to our own kind or suffer the consequences. The new government, controlled by the Roman Catholics, will stop at nothing in their effort to win the black people of America to them, but the Negroes must know that this world s end is near. HURRY AND JOIN ONTO YOUR OWN KIND. THE TIME OF THIS WORLD IS AT HAND.

Welcome to the 2013 Pre-Saviour s Day Week Activities at the Homewood Suites, by Hilton Richmond Airport 5996 Audubon Drive, Sandston, Virginia (near the Richmond International Airport). The Saviour s Day Convention week is the time Muslim followers of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad come together to ensure they are all getting the same instructions. Each Temple s structure has to be the same wherein there will be no BIG I s and no little you(s). Rules and laws are for EVERY ONE, not just for some. One cannot attain the full benefits of the Messenger s teachings if there are deliberate deviations in what is taught. 14 14 Financial Management More Of Nothing Every Year Or Let Us Get Together To Produce Our Own People s Needs By Brother Kamau Islam In the Name of Allah, Master Fard Muhammad, and in the name of His Messenger, the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad. As-Salaam-Alaikum. These are some of the major signs that clearly indicate the fall and destruction of a country or an entire civilization: an educational system in disarray; a medical system spinning out of control; an extra shaky economy. Muhammad Skillfully Guides His Followers To Success and Prosperity In his 40-year-mission to us here in the Wilderness Hells of North America the Honorable Elijah Muhammad divinely and skillfully guided us in the knowledge of the fall of the American civilization. He also instructed us in ways so we will not be crushed or entrapped in this impending destruction. As concerns economic matters Messenger Elijah Muhammad has written a timely article titled The Decline Of The Dollar. This article can be found on page 275 in the book Message To The Blackman In America and also on page 87 in the book The Fall of America. In the very first paragraph in this article the Honorable Elijah Muhammad states:...when the world went off the gold and silver standard, the financial doom of England and America was sealed. Allah (God) Master Fard Muhammad took Messenger Elijah Muhammad into His council for 40 months (about three and one-half years). This was the time in which He taught him the basic sciences of civilization. Thus, He (Allah) made His Messenger (Elijah Muhammad) the first from amongst us to be raised from mental and spiritual death (i.e. the first begotten of the dead). Messenger Elijah Muhammad continued on with this mission to raise the rest of the dead Black Nation back to mental and spiritual life. Allah, Master Fard Muhammad, found our people in the Detroit, Michigan area. In 1931 the Honorable Elijah Muhammad was blessed to meet Him. Upon choosing His Messenger for us and before leaving the Hells of North America Allah (God) made us this promise money, good homes, friendships in all walks of life. Many Black people in America were attracted to these promises and more; however some apparently forgot that these promises by Allah, Master Fard Muhammad, were made on condition that we would obey His Messenger, Elijah Muhammad, and join on to our own kind in the Nation of Islam. As he began to wrap up his mission to us, Messenger Elijah Muhammad addressed large audiences of Muslims and guests (in 1972) during the Theology Of Time series. In one session he asked that the attendees pay very close attention to what he was saying as he was now going more into the science of his mission. Now, we must continue to study all of his teachings if we desire continued divine guidance, success and prosperity. As noted in the heading of this article, the word M O N E Y is used as an acronym more of nothing every year. This definitely applies to the state of the economic system of America and much of the western world and those who follow them. Neither Allah nor His Messenger speak of money in the aforementioned manner. Applying Supreme Wisdom from God does not lead us to a shaky economic system or any other kind of shaky system. In the American economy the dollar has lost over 90% of its original value. The currency is no longer backed by gold or silver. The average consumer can only receive a very limited amount of interest on thousands of dollars in their savings accounts. Mega corpo-

15 rations lend thousands of worthless dollar bills to individual consumers, charging super high interest rates for these loans. Some of these mega corporations gamble away pension funds and 401K funds, robbing consumers of monies supposedly set aside for retirement and other future use. The Cost Of Everything Increases, With The Exception Of Personal Wages Many people work on jobs where there has not been a salary increase in seven or eight years, yet the cost of food, clothing, shelter, education, gasoline, utilities, taxes (on all levels), basic goods and services are constantly increasing. Thus, any Black person who desires to continue staying with the devil (the white man) can expect more of the same, and that things will get worse. Messenger Elijah Muhammad Teaches Us.. We Must Get Together To Produce Our Own People s Needs While we live in hell we should not want to continue to be a part of hell. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad teaches us to pool our resources. This means we must again learn to take these worthless dollar bills and secure land and resources like we once did. In doing research on the History of The Nation of Islam under the guidance of Allah, Master Fard Muhammad, through His Last and greatest Messenger, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, we have found much information on the accomplishments of the Muslims. 15 The Honorable Elijah Muhammad Says: Help me to help you to help yourself Those who followed Messenger Elijah Muhammad s advice and pooled their resources enjoyed over 40 years of economic growth and prosperity in the Nation of Islam here in the Wilderness Hells of North America. The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad and his dedicated laborers were able to manage these funds to purchase vast amounts of acres of farm land in the states of Michigan, Georgia and Alabama. On these lands the Nation of Islam raised cattle, chickens, a variety of wholesome vegetables and many variety of fruits. We established milk diaries, egg production plants, canneries and other processing operations. We connected the farm to the city with our own independent transportation system which included airplanes and trucking networks. We deposited our own hard-earned monies in our own National Bank in both checking and savings accounts. As we continued to pool our resources we purchased imported goods from our people in Africa and Asia. These included pack- aged food stuffs as well as household and clothing goods from Japan, China, Pakistan, Morocco, etc. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad s wise leadership guided the Nation of Islam into business ventures in Central and South America. The Nation of Islam became the largest purchaser and distributor of fish (from Peru) in the Wilderness of North America. Here in North America we operated Muhammad s Temples of Islam in basically every state in the Nation with a significant Black population. Meetings were held on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays to make the life giving teachings of Islam available to all of our people on a constant basis. All across America, Muslim businesses operated. These included Shabazz Restaurants, Shabazz Bakeries, Salaam Restaurants and Supermarkets, Your Food Markets. These included National Businesses, Temple Enterprises and businesses owned and operated by individual Muslims. There were also M.G.T. clothing factories and we can not forget the many University of Islam s across the country. This is just a sampling of how ALLAH, Master Fard Muhammad, has delivered on His promise of money, good homes and friendships in all walks of life. From disobedient Muslim leadership on down, many abandoned the divine program of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and began to follow obsolete orthodox Muslim philosophies, walked back into the Lazarus syndrome of the Christian world or followed weak, envious, and contrary so-called Muslims who desire to take Messenger Elijah Muhammad s placeeven though none are capable.

18 18 A Moment In The History of The Nation of Islam... In the Name of Allah, Master Fard Muhammad, and in the name of His Messenger, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. As-Salaam-Alaikum. White Devils Release Messenger Elijah Muhammad From Federal Prison In the year 1946, the white devils of America released Messenger Elijah Muhammad from Federal prison, after having him serve time for a false charge of draft evasion. Messenger Muhammad then returned to Chicago, Illinois to gather his followers who had, while he was incarcerated, purchased an old building that was renovated to be used as the Temple of Islam. Work began at a rapid pace to continue with the building of the Nation here in the Hells of North America. Muslims Hold Fund Drive To Build National Islamic Center By 1958, some 12 years later, Muslims in Chicago and all across America were contributing to a fund drive to purchase and build a national Center of Faith. The monies had already been raised and the land had been purchased. This consisted of two square blocks which had been sold to the Nation of Islam by the Chicago From Chicago Civic Organization Works To Block the Nation Of Islam From Building a Proposed Islamic Center On Already Purchased Land By Brother Kamau Islam Park Commission. In his book titled Black Nationalism, author E.U. Essien-Udom writes-on page 309: In 1958 the Chicago Park District and the City Planning Department were said to have earmarked the land bound by East 85th and 86th Streets, South Park and South Prairie Avenues, as a park site. Residents of the community apparently opposed the use of the land for a park. The Park District is said to have offered the residents the site for a park twice later; and twice the residents turned down the offer. Consequently, the site was sold to Muhammad s Temple of Islam, which paid cash. Early in 1960, the residents of the Chatham-Avalon Community learned about the proposed $20,000,000 (20 million dollar) Muhammad s Center in their community. They decided to block it. Negro and white leaders of the community called several meetings of the residents to protest the sale of land to the Muslims. They also asked that the site be used for a park, an offer they had turned down previously. The writer attended two of these meetings, and to his amazement, discovered that Negroes in this community opposed the Muslim s project strictly along class lines. They did not want those elements lower class persons in their community. Several speakers voiced the class sentiment. The white leaders, some of whom had previously opposed these same Negroes, found a common cause with the black bourgeoisie. The Park District held public hearings to determine the claims of both parties and revoked its previous sale, thus depriving the Muslims of their property. Muslims Win Legal Battle In The Devil s Court A legal battle ensued as the matter had to be settled in court. The Muslims won a $165,000 court settlement, more than the Park Commission wanted to pay in reimbursement to the Nation of Islam. This, being one of many obstacles thrown in an attempt to block the Muslims, did not discourage the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and his followers. Other Nation of Islam plans and projects continued while this particular one was placed on hold until it resurfaced in view of the public during the early 1970 s. This was near the time that Messenger Muhammad was wrapping up his near 40-year mission to us here in the Hells of North America. As-Salaam-Alaikum.
