Mr. Karen GRIGORYAN, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Iraq met with Sabah Al-Bazoni BPC chairman. They discussed the matter of opening Armenian Consulate, office or honorary consul in Basra to increase trade exchange between Basra and Armenian businessmen. The request of Basra's Governor aimed to present detail explanation about budget expenditures since June This came because of many enquires raised towards the fate of Basra budget for 2014.Basra'sgovernor, Majid Al-Nasrawi conditioned that the session of PC must be transmitted on TV and invite PMs for Basra, SOCs and Basra Political Council. BPC decided to deal with those who erupted tribe's clashes based on Terrorists Law. SLA at BPC assesses the performance of the government Source: Local media, almedapress The Minister of Communications and Bader Org member, Hassan Rashid held a meeting with SLA in Basra to evaluate the performance of Basra local government (Executive and legislation branch) after two years of forming Basra local government and to determine new goals for Basra Government. Rashid added evaluating the performance of Basra government did not target any political bloc in Basra and finally belonged to Basra's people. He noted that Basra has huge abilities but the security situation is not helping.

2 On the other hand, Ahrar Bloc allied with Basra first coalition suspended its membership at BPC because they were not satisfied with the performance of Basra local government (executive and legislative branch) but, Ahrar bloc have ended their suspending. Basra tribal Sheikhs sign 'code of honor' to support unity plan on ending violence Source almirbad.com: The head of the Special Committee of the Provincial Council for the settlement of tribal disputes in Basra Sheikh Ya'arib Al-Mohammedawi announced that Basra's tribal Sheikhs signed, in Najf under patronage of Sadder office, a "code of honor," to wipe out tribal's strife, respect law and keep women away from tribal's conflicts. Lukoil senior vice president, Gati Al-Jebouri, says at a conference in London the production is expected to be raised to 420,000 bpd by the end of this year. The rise comes as a result of splitting crude oil into heavy and light. Ergil Completes Zubair Storage Tank Project Source: Ergil Date: June 10, 2015 Turkish-based storage tank company, Ergil has completed a comprehensive engineering, design, material supply and fabrication project in Iraq. ROSCO (Rafidain Oil Services Co., part of the Jurmat Group Of Companies), the EPC contractor for the New Flow Tanks EPC Project, has awarded the company the engineering, design, material supply and fabrication of 33m dia & 14.63m height, 36.20m dia, 12.20m height, 41m dia, 8.8m height dome roof flow tanks and 3 ASME U stamped flow tank degasser units to Zubair Degassing Station, Hamar Degassing Station and Rafidiya Degassing Station.

4 Security Back tribal conflicts north of Basra Source: almirbad.com, nasiriyah.org Date: June 08, 2015 The outbreak of armed conflict in Karmet Ali, north of Basra led to injure 3 soldiers from the security forces which intervened to reduce the conflicts of tribal. On the other hand, the security which led by Maj.Gen Faysal Ebadi, Basra police commander, were deployed there to control the situation and reduce tension. The security forces launched a campaign blitz resulted to arrest 38 from tribal men who participated in erupting conflicts. The commander of the Basra Operations Maj. Gen. Samir Abd al-karim had announced that Iraqi Minister of Defense decided to form a new Brigade to deal with tribal conflict in north of Basra. On the other hand, Gunman assassinated civilian in Al-Hadi area at center of Basra city. Al-Shatra districts north of Thi-Qar province witnessed tribal conflicts without casualties. But the security forces were deployed there and controlled the situation and arrest three of disputers. Tenths of protestors surrounded the Governorate building, demanding to dismiss or question the Governor Source: almaalomah.com Date: June 13, 2015 Tenths of Basra people started demonstration in front of the Basra governorate building during a demonstration calling for Basra Governor to step down. Many Iraqi security forces were deployed to protect the building of Basra Governorate. The main demands of the protestors were better public services, jobs and to sack Basra governor form his position because he failed to do his job. Most of ISCI representatives in Basra accused anonymous sides in supporting demonstrations and other accused ISCI, Bader Organization, extremists Shia movements and Baathists. The calling of demonstration basically started via anonymous Social media which started campaign on Facebook against Basra's Governor for failing to provide service and security for Basra People. Reaction of ISCI in Basra Local media reported that the Head of ISCI office in Basra threatened the protectors to disengage their demonstration by using Saraya Ashura, an armed group close to Ammar al-hakim and the Supreme Islamic Council and Saraya Ansar al-aqeeda. Saraya Ansar al-aqeeda ('Supporters of the Creed Brigades') is an Iraqi Shi'a militia formed as part of the 'popular mobilization' since June 2014 and led by Sheikh Jalal al-din al-saghir who is tied to the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI). The group maintains a close working relationship with Saraya Ashura of Ammar al-hakim, another ISCI figure.
