Your next stop, Rohtang pass lies into the deep alcove of Beas Valley and witnesses the contradicting scenery of lush green mountains on one side and brazen setting of the trans Himalayan cold dessert of Lahaul and Spiti on the other. Your journey will take you to Jobra which is arrayed by a magnificent landscape and after a walk across this elegant strip of land you will find the meadows of Chika to be as welcoming as ever. As we near the brink of our trip, an intense adrenaline dash can be experienced while rafting on River Beas and during several rope activities.

3 DETAILED ITINERARY Day 1: Arrive in Manali (2000m) After arrival in Manali, explore the vicinity and one can indulge in shopping the local market. Here is an opportunity to soak in the beauty of the surrounding. Overnight in guesthouse/ hotel. Day 2: Manali- Old Manali Solang Valley (2560m) Back to Manali (Drive/ 1 hr&trek /3-4 hrs) Today the trek begins from the old Manali village above the Beas River. Trail takes you through ancient villages Shanag and Bhurua. This beautiful valley offers magnificent views of glaciers and snow capped mountains. From Solang valley we drive down to Manali. Overnight in guesthouse/hotel. Day 3: Manali Rohtang Pass (3978m) Manali (Drive/ 4 5 hrs) Post breakfast we drive through beautiful Beas Valley on Leh Manali highway. Traverse through beautiful forest of Deodar, Silver Birch and reach Madi. Here, you can sip a cup of coffee/ tea and continue to Rohtang Pass. After arrival in Rohtang Pass, you will witness both the sides of the pass. One side of the pass is rich green and the other side offers the views of cold deserts of Lahaul and Spiti and beautiful Chandra River flowing in between. Behold the mesmerizing views of Dauladhar, Pir Panjal, CB Range, Bada Bhangal, etc. Soak in the beauty of this environment and head back to Manali. Overnight in guesthouse/ hotel. Day 4: Manali Jobra (2707m) Chikha (3000m) (Drive/1hr & Trek/2-3 hrs) In the morning, we drive to the dam site at Jobra and from here walk through a very pleasant landscape. The walk initially will take us through a mixed forest having pines, spruce, deodar, chestnut and maple trees. We cross a beautiful meadow having a gaddi shepherd camp there. We will need to cross the river at a vantage point if the gaddis haven t made a makeshift bridge somewhere along the river. We cross the river and climb to a beautiful meadow called Chikha Today s hike is a gentle one and will take about 2 hrs. Having rested for some time one will be advised to walk up a short distance to a nearby waterfall which also plays host to a number of white capped redstarts. Overnight in tents. Day 5: Exploration around Chika Jobra Manali (Drive/ 45 mins &Trek/ 2 hrs) Today the exploration is on Hampta trail. Then trek back to Jobra from where we drive to Manali. Overnight in guesthouse/ hotel.

4 Day 6: Rafting on Beas & Rope Activities We drive to starting point for rafting which takes 40 mins drive. Indulge in spine tingling rafting on river Beas. In the afternoon we return back to the lodge/ hotel. In the evening we indulge in rope activities. Overnight in guesthouse/hotel. Day 7: Manali - Chandigarh/ Delhi Our action packed trip ends, depart from Manali to your onward destination. Trip ends here.

All our guides are professionally trained and have many years of relevant experience in guiding treks. All adventure activities as mentioned in the itinerary would be supported by our experienced team of Instructors using State-of-the-art equipment. This ensures safety for any activity and is the lynchpin of the trip. An experienced Trip Leader for the trip who will be assisted by experienced guides and instructors. This team has many years of experience in leading family groups and are usually people with an intimate knowledge of the mountains. They are also experienced instructors on one adventure sport or the other and are sure to keep you charged with many interesting stories. A number of Activity Experts would be joining the team as and when required. These people are domain experts in various fields like water activities, rope sports, mountaineering, etc. and are the flavour of this trip. They bring an intimate knowledge of each aspect of the trip and go beyond just getting you to do an activity and rather give you a deep insight of the whys and what s of the activities by sharing their knowledge. High quality equipment is provided at reasonable rental/sale and you are assured of clean equipment that has been checked for its efficacy. PLEASE NOTE: If due to bad weather, sickness, natural calamity or any other personal reasons, the itinerary is changed on ground the extra charges arising due to it will be borne by the guests. Same will be applicable if a guest decide to change the itinerary due to personal reason. In the event of any cancellation(s) after trip commencement, there will be no refunds and any costs incurred due to this cancellation will be borne by you. * Irrespective of when a trip is booked, the above condition will hold true REGION INFORMATION Manali based in the north end of the Kullu valley in Himachal Pradesh is a hill station situated at a height of 2050 mts in the Himalayas. Positioned near River Beas, best time to visit Kullu Manali is both in summers as well as winters. Also known as Valley of Gods, Old Manali village has an ancient temple dedicated to sage Manu, the lawgiver. Manali is the starting of the ancient trade route to Ladakh, then to Karakoram pass, from there to Yarkand and finally to Khoktan. TRANSPORT OPTIONS (DELHI MANALI DELHI) For travel from Delhi to Manali & back, one can choose between air, rail & road. For air travel, the closest airport is Bhuntar (Kullu) airport. There are a couple of flights that link this airport to Delhi airport. Train travel though not very popular is available to cover a certain distance. One can either take a train to Pathankot or Jogindernagar (narrow gauge). From both these places one will need to drive to Manali. For train details, you could log on to and for online railway ticket bookings you could log on to There are frequent Public Transport buses including Volvos available from Delhi to Manali that cost about Rs per person. They take about 15 hrs to cover the distance. A private vehicle could also be arranged for if you require the same.

9 TRIP EXTENSIONS: JISPA (LAHAUL VALLEY) Located in the district of Lahaul and Spiti, at an elevation of 3200 m, on the banks of river Bhaga Jispa, in its calm disposition is a sight to behold. It is lined with stupas (chortens) and also cribs an ancient monastery. KAZA (SPITI VALLEY) Overlooked by the mountains from all sides, Kaza is situated along the river Spiti at an altitude of 3,650 m. The historical Tangyud Monastery betrays a demeanour of a barricaded fortress and happens to be a popular tourist attraction here. GREAT HIMALAYAN NATIONAL PARK (TIRTHAN VALLEY) Started in 1984, GNP sprawls over an area of 755 sq km. One can catch a glimpse of exotic species of animals, rare plants and migratory birds here. One can visit riversides, lakes, historical sites, mesmeric meadows and soak in the beauty of mountains whose summit is lost amidst the clouds. SHIMLA Situated at the foothills of Himalayas, the capital of Himachal Pradesh is an exuberant holiday spot that is always buzzing with life. DHARAMASHALA It is a serene spot glazed in the mild sun and encompassed with icy mountain peaks. It is known for its culture and archaic monasteries. It is yet another emerald in the tiara of Himanchal Pradesh. DALHOUSIE It is one of the most famous hill station, known for its pleasant climate and natural spectrum. The Victorian style mansions, Scottish architecture and other masterfully designed colonial buildings in this town will sweep you back into time. Here, you get to witness magnificent snow crowned mountains Pir Panjal range. KASOL Popularly known as the Mini Israel, Kasol is a beautiful destination stretched along the Parvatin River. Bestowed with lush greenery and exquisite views of the surrounding mountain ranges it attracts tourists from all around the world.
