Sivacharan Sri Sai Sahasranama Bhashya 173) OM SRI SAI INDUVATHPRIYA DARSHANAAYA NAMAH [Meaning: - Salutations to Lord Sai who is as attractive as the Moon] The word Indu, apart being a synonym for the Moon, bears a multitude of meanings in Sanskrit literature a few to mention are- A bright drop (Tejo Binduh) Symbolic representation of one (Ekah evah Induh) Lord Indra ( Vaastospatih Indrah ) meaning to be the deity presiding over the household ( Vaasstospatih iti ucchyate) Lord Rudra (Vaastospatistu Rudrah) Time of moonrise (Chandrodayakaalah Induh) The last syllable of the Pranava (Omkara) being the bindu The Supreme Knowledge ( Parama jnaanam Induh Swaroopam) The Supreme state (Paramam Padam Induh) Aavaasah patih Soma (Moon) is equated to Indu. The word Soma also refers to a type of plant from whose sap, the fluid Somarasa was extracted and given as an offering in the sacrifices (Yajnas) as well as partaken as a holy leftovers of the same sacred fire ritual. Here, a point has to be emphasized that Somarasa is not to be merely equated to a spurious liquor. If one reads the Soma mandala of the Rigveda (this 9th mandala or the 9th section of Rigveda also called as Soma Pavamana which contains 114 Riks or hymns eulogizing the power of Soma and its presiding deity), one would understand the greatness of this juice. A spurious liquor would cloud the consciousness, blunts the intellect and inhibitions of a person who has consumed it. But Somarasa would give strength, clarity of thoughts and action which is totally contrary to the mechanism of action of the spurious liquor. We referred to Indu as Soma meaning the Supreme State, this is well justified by a group of Vedic hymns called as the Trisuparna Mantraas which declare Ye Braahmanah Trisuparnam Pathanti Te Somam praapnuvanti {The knowledgeable one who with rapt faith recites the Trisuparna attains the Supreme state}. Isn t Lord Sai our sole refuge? Isn t he our final abode? The answer to these questions is a single unanimous YES. Our scriptures say Gurureva Bhaanuh Gurureva Induh. {Guru is the Sun, Guru is the Moon.}, the quality of the moon, unlike the sun is not only illumining the dark sky, but also soothes us with its cool rays. Same way, Guru s teachings are also like moon s light which drenches the spiritual aspirant in it and gives him happiness. Sivacharan News 1. Shri Sai Baba Sansthan makes elaborate arrangements in view of Kumbh Mela 2015 at Nasik -Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust (Shirdi). Shri Sai Baba Sansthan s Executive Officer Shri.Rajendra Jadhav informed media persons at a press conference held on Sunday, 30th August 2015, that considering the huge crowd coming in during Kumbh Mela in Nasik, additional arrangements have been made for staying & for providing Prasad Bhojan at Sai Prasadalaya. Similarly, arrangments have been made for distributing free Ladu packets in the darshan queue. Shri.Jadhav said that huge crowd is expected due to Simhasta Kumbh Mela at Nasik especially during Shaisnan. To control the huge crowd which is expected during this time in an efficient manner, Shri Sai Baba Sansthan is providing various services for the devotees. Sansthan has deployed additional Staff of 1175 Nos., 1500 Volunteer Students from different places, Revenue Sub-District Officers, Divisional Officers,Tahasildar etc., 13 Sector Officers, 50 Doctors from Medical Department & 60 Officers from Police Department, 613 Staff Members have been deployed to provide special services. Old Prasadalay building is being converted as the main control room. The temple premises, vehicle parking lots, Bhakti Nivas & all other palces will be controlled from this control room. Similarly, for the vehicles coming from Ahmednagar & Pune direction parking facility has been made next to Sai Upasini Fabrication, in front of Hotel Prabahat Sakuri, near M.N.Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil Petrol Pump,Pimpalwadi road, Kankuri road etc. All in all, 10 parking facility have been made at different places for the benefit of devotees. In the each parking lot information about temple, Cloak room facility, Chappal Stand, Toilets, Canteen, Tiffen packets, Shed for taking rest, Announcement centres will be available. There are totally 5 Bhaktinivas managed by Shri Sai Baba Sansthan. Additional staying facility by putting Shamiyana has been made at Sai Ashram Bhaktinivas, Sai Baba Bhaktinivas, Dwaravati Bhaktinivas, Sai Ashram Dharmashala. During Kumbh Mela Canteen facility has been made available at Sai Ashram, Bhaktinivas, New Bhaktinivas, Old prasadalay, Bhaktinivas 1st & 2nd floor (Darshan Queue), Dwaravati Bhakti Nivas, Sainath & Saibaba Hospital, Sai Dharmashala. All vehicle parking lots & Additional darshan Queue. To make Ladu & Boondi Prasad easily available to all devotees, distribution will be made at new prasadalay, Dwaravati Bhakti Nivas, & Sai Baba Bhaktinivas. Additional Udi distribution centres have been arranged at Sai Prasadalay, Sai Ashram Bhaktinivas, & Dwaravati Bhaktinivas. To prevent the occurrance of any untoward incidents, Ambulance & Fire Extinguisher Vehicles have been arranged on the road in front of Gate No.2, Sai Nagar Grounds, Close to Government Guest house & at the temple premises near Gate No.4. Crane & JCB vehicles have been arranged at the temple premises near Gate No.2 & at parking lot No.2 & 6. Shuttle Service vehicles have been arranged to bring the devotees from Parking lot to Queue Complex. For the period till the Kumbh Mela gets over, to facilitate easy darshan for the devotees Security arrangements have been made at Darshan queue, additional Queue, Temple premises, Staying places etc. To provide Prasad Bhojan facility for all the devotees, additional Prasad Bhojan have been arranged at Sai Prasadalay, Shri Sainath Hospital, Shri Saibaba Bhaktinivas, Sai Ashram Bhaktinivas etc. Breakfast packets will be made available at all the above mentioned parking lots. Additional Batches of Shri Sai Satya Vrat Pooja scheduled in view of Shravana Month - Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust (Shirdi). The Executive Officer of Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust (Shirdi) Shri.Rajendra Jadhav informed media persons at a press conference held on Tuesday, 11th August 2015 that in view of the huge rush of devotees that is anticipated in Shirdi during the ensuing Shravana Month and in view of the importance of performing Satyanarayana Pooja in this month,shri Sai Baba Sansthan has organized 6 batches of Shri Sai Satyavrat Pooja from 15th August 2015 to 13th September Shri.Jadhav said that usually there will be 3 bathces of Shri Satyavrat Pooja in the morning between 7 to 8, 9 to 10 & 11 to 12. But as per our tradition, lot of importance has been attached to performing Sai Satynarayana Pooja during the month of Shravana. Therefore there will more requests from devotees for tickets to perform the Shri Sai Satyavrat Pooja. To honour devotee s requests, this year in shravana month Shri Sai Baba Sansthan has organized 6 batches, with the 1st batch between 7 am to 8 am, 2nd batch between 9 am to 10 am, 3rd batch between 11 am to 12 Noon, 4th Batch in the afternoon from 1 pm to 2 pm, 5th batch from 3 pm to 4 pm & 6th batch from evening 5 pm to 6 pm. In each batch 100 devotees can avail the benefit of performing Sai Satyavrat Pooja. Tickets for Sai Satyavrat Pooja will be issued one day in advance in the afternoon at 2 pm for each batch as per the allotted number of tickets at Sansthan office. Ayurvedic & Physiotherapy Departments starts functioning at Shri Sainath Hospital Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust (Shirdi). The Executive Officer of Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust (Shirdi) Shri.Rajendra Jadhav informed media persons at a press conference held on Tuesday, 4th August 2015 that Shri Sainath Hospital run under the auspices of Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust (Shirdi) has started Ayurvedic and Physiotherapy Departments on a regular basis so that variety of diseases can cured due to Panchakarma Treatment made available in Ayureda Department and Physical Exercises made available at Physiotherapy Department. Shri.Jadhav said that Ayurvedic and Physiotherapy Departments have started functioning on a regular basis at Shri Sainath Hospital.
