TREES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS A PLANTING OF THE LORD
The purpose of this word is to encourage you to walk worthy of the LORD and to increase in the knowledge of GOD
Col 1:9-10 (9) For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; (10) that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;
1Thes 2:10-13 (10) You are witnesses, and God also, how devoutly and justly and blamelessly we (the sons) behaved ourselves among you who believe; (11) as you know how we exhorted, and comforted, and charged every one of you, as a father does his own children, (12) that you would walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory. (13) For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.
We understand that we have come into the land and are now in the 5 th year of the Kingdom of GOD in the earth, the year of increase. Lev 19:23-25 (23) 'When you come into the land, and have planted all kinds of trees for food, then you shall count their fruit as uncircumcised. Three years it shall be as uncircumcised to you. It shall not be eaten. (24) But in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy, a praise to the Lord. (25) And in the fifth year you may eat its fruit, that it may yield to you its increase: I am the Lord your God.
TREES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS A PLANTING OF THE LORD
Deut 8:6-11 (6) Therefore you shall keep the commandments of the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to fear Him. (Acts 10:34-35) (7) For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land (the Kingdom of GOD), a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, that flow out of valleys and hills; (progressive Word of GOD) (8) a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey; (covenant and Kingdom) (9) a land in which you will eat bread (the Word of GOD) without scarcity, in which you will lack nothing; a land whose stones (1Pet 2 living stones sons of the kingdom) are iron (H1270 = material of furniture/ utensils/ implements to work the land from H1269 Choice olive) and out of whose hills you can dig copper. (10) When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless the Lord your God for the good land which He has given you. (11) "Beware that you do not forget the Lord your God by not keeping His commandments, His judgments, and His statutes which I command you today
Gen 1:27-28 (27) So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him (son of GOD); male and female He created them (son of man). (28) Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful (H6509) and multiply (H7235); fill (replenish H4390) the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth." Fruitfull H6509 pa ra h BDB Definition: 1) to bear fruit, be fruitful, branch off Strongs: Increase
Multiply H7235 ra ba h A primitive root; to increase (in whatever respect): - [bring in] abundance (X -antly) Replenish H4390 מלא / מלא ma le ' / ma la ' BDB Definition: 1) to fill, be full 1c3) to fulfil, accomplish, complete
In other words make more of GOD S kind and let them, GOD S kind have dominion over all the earth. GOD S kind John 10:30-34 Psalms 82:6-7 & 1 (GOD/ GODS = G2316 = theos) (GOD/ GODS = H430 = 'e lo hıŷm) (HIS kind not the FATHER, HIS sons) Although GOD blessed man on the 6 th day when He created them, the blessing would only have it s effect in the 7 th day. We today understand that GOD kind means, man in his righteous form, living in the 7 th and in the 3 rd DAY, the resurrection day where Christ as a specie is resurrected with the mind of Christ. This specie is what Gen 1:28 refers to, that needs to be fruitful, to multiply and to fill the earth and to have dominion.
Important 1Cor 15:46-50 (46) However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. (47) The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven. (48) As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly. (49) And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man. (50) Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.
Understanding that we live in the 7 th DAY, let s have a look at what GOD created on the 3 rd day as a type and Shadow of this DAY.
Gen 1:11-13 (11) Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth"; and it was so. (12) And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. (two types and shadows Jesus Christ commonly used in his parables grain and trees) (13) So the evening and the morning were the third day.
The Bible many times metaphorically refers to man as trees Isa 61:3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified." Mat 12:33-35 (33) "Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit. (34) Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. (35) A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.
Gen 2:8-9 (8) The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. (9) And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree (all the trees) grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life (H2416) was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. H2416 chay BDB Definition: 1) living, alive (adjective) 2) relatives (noun masculine) 3a) life 5) community (noun feminine)
Gen 3:6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. The fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil was like all the other trees, also good for food and pleasant to the eyes. The perception that its fruit will make them like GOD is what deceived them the lie of the snake for they were already like GOD were created so. The fruit of that tree left them naked and ashamed. They lost their clothing the glory of GOD. Rom 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God In that, they exchanged the glory of GOD, HIS view, judgement and opinion, for that of man
The seed of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, is also in its fruit therefore it also produces after its own kind deceit/ nakedness/ unworthiness/ unrighteousness/ death (Rom 8:6 to be carnally minded is death). Mat 7:15-21 (15) "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. (or snakes deceivers) (16) You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes (covenant) from thornbushes or figs (Kingdom) from thistles? (17) Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. (18) A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. (19) Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. (20) Therefore by their fruits you will know them. (21) "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
Psalm 1:1-6 (1) Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly (H7563 ra sha wicked, guilty of sin against God or man), Nor stands in the path of sinners (those that miss the mark), Nor sits in the seat of the scornful (H3887 lu ts boast, mock, interpret); (2) But his delight is in the law (H8451 to ra h direction, instruction) of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. (3) He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. (4) The ungodly are not so, But are like the chaff which the wind drives away. (5) Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. (6) For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish.
The 1 st coming of Christ, that came through Jesus Christ, was for sin, to deliver man from the condition of sin so that we could become the righteousness of GOD.
Interesting to note Jesus was the son of a carpenter, became a carpenter himself, worked with trees he knew trees, became the cursed fruit (sin 2Cor 5:21) of the tree of good and evil and eventually died on a tree, metaphorically, became a tree so that we could become trees of righteousness) Gal 3:13-14 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree") (14) that the blessing of Abraham (the seed of the Righteous tree, the Christ seed) might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit (GOD) through faith.
Isa 61:1-3 (1) "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; (2) To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, (3) To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they (we) may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified. (G602 of HIS view/ judgement/ opinion revealed in the earth)
Prov 11:30-31 (30) The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins (H3947) souls is wise. (31) If the righteous will be recompensed on the earth, How much more the ungodly and the sinner. H3947 la qach BDB Definition: 1) to take, get, fetch, lay hold of, seize, receive, acquire, buy, bring, marry, take a wife, snatch, take away.
Prov 11:30-31 (30) The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise. (31) If the righteous will be recompensed (H7999) on the earth, How much more the ungodly and the sinner. H7999 sha lam BDB Definition: 1) to be in a covenant of peace, be at peace (Day 7) 1a) (Qal) 1a1) to be at peace 1a2) peaceful one (participle) 1b) (Pual) one in covenant of peace (participle) 1c) (Hiphil) 1c1) to make peace with 1c2) to cause to be at peace
2) to be complete, be sound 2a) (Qal) 2a1) to be complete, be finished, be ended 2a2) to be sound, be uninjured 2b) (Piel) 2b1) to complete, finish 2b2) to make safe 2b3) to make whole or good, restore, make compensation 2b4) to make good, pay 2b5) to requite, recompense, reward 2c) (Pual) 2c1) to be performed 2c2) to be repaid, be requited 2d) (Hiphil) 2d1) to complete, perform 2d2) to make an end of
The purpose of being the righteousness of GOD is to win souls 1 ST your own and then to set people free from the fruit/ curse of the tree of good and evil. This is the work and purpose of the 2 nd coming of Christ. Heb 9:27-28 (27) And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, (28) so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation (salvation of the soul G4991 so te ria deliverance from the molestation of the enemy) GOD poured out HIS SPIRIT so that man could gain HIS mind/ soul See Gal 5:18-25
Gal 5:18-25 (18) But if you are led by the Spirit (GOD), you are not under the law. (19) Now the works of the flesh (unrighteous mind/ tree) are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, (20) idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, (21) envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. (22) But the fruit of the Spirit (GOD) is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, (23) gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. (24) And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. (25) If we live in the Spirit (GOD), let us also walk in the Spirit (GOD).
Acts 17:28-31 (28) for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, 'For we are also His offspring.' (29) Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man's devising (man s thoughts). (30) Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, (31) because He has appointed a day (DAY 3/7) on which He will judge the world in righteousness (Ps 81:2) by the Man (Christ man/ specie) whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him (the 1 st Christ man) from the dead (on the 3 rd Day)."
What does it mean to live in the Spirit (GOD)? John 1:1-5 (1) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (2) He was in the beginning with God. (3) All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. (4) In Him (GOD/ Word) was life and the life was the light (G5457), of men. (GOD shines through us HE is the light/ life in us) (5) And the light shines (G5316) in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend (G2638) it.
Light G5457 Phos 2) metaphorically 2a) God is light because light has the extremely delicate, subtle, pure, brilliant quality 2b) of truth and its (GOD S) knowledge, together with the spiritual purity associated with it 2c) that which is exposed to the view of all, openly, publicly 2d) (GOD S) reason, mind 2d1) the power of understanding especially moral and spiritual truth
Shineth Phaino 2c) to meet the eyes, strike the sight, become clear or manifest 2c1) to be seen, appear 2d) to appear to the mind, seem to one s judgment or opinion
Comprehend G2638 1b2) in a good sense, of Christ by his holy power and influence laying hold of the human mind and will, in order to prompt and govern it when that becomes a reality darkness can no longer lay hold of our minds 1d) to lay hold of with the mind
Jer 17:5-10 (5) Thus says the Lord: "Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the Lord. (cursed tree of good and evil) (6) For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, And shall not see when good comes, But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, In a salt land which is not inhabited. (7) "Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. (8) For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit. (9) "The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it? (10) I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings.
Eze 47:12 Along the bank of the river, on this side and that, will grow all kinds of trees used for food; their leaves will not wither, and their fruit will not fail. They will bear fruit every month, because their water flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for medicine."
Rev 22:1-5 (1) And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. (2) In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves (G5444) of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
Leaves G5444 φυ λλον phullon Thayer Definition: 1) a leaf A Related Word by Thayer s/strong s Number: from the same as G5443 = phule foo-lay' From G5453 (compare G5444); an offshoot, that is, race or clan: - kindred, tribe. GOD S offshoot, the race or clan of the tree of life will bring healing to the nations!
Rev 22:1-5 (3) And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. (4) They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. (5) There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.
Rev 11:15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!"
Col 1:9-10 (9) For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; (10) that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; - the end -
