Fox, Ph.D., Professor of Pastoral Theology, was presented with the 2013 Cardinal Bernardin Award by the Catholic Common Ground Initiative of the Bernardin Center, at The American Bible Society, NYC, on June 7, Each year the Catholic Common Ground Initiative honors an individual or group who has made a unique contribution to the achievement of common ground in the Church. The honoree s work has made an impact on a significant number of people and set a precedent or example of building common ground in the Church. The recipient of the award also embodies the dialogical and consultative approach to leadership of the late Cardinal Joseph Bernardin in working towards unity in the Church. Reverend Monsignor Gerard H. McCarren, S.T.D., Associate Professor of Systematic Theology and Spiritual Director for the Seminary, was presented with the Our Lady of Guadalupe Award by The Institute for Priestly Formation, at Creighton University, Omaha, NE, on June 19, This is an annual award presented to individuals for exemplary service to the mission of the Institute for Priestly Formation.
