7 APOSTLE S CREED I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Holy Communion is celebrated at each worship service and we invite all believers to receive the sacrament with us. Children who commune at their home church are also welcome here; if your child does not commune please bring him/her to the table for a blessing. The ushers will direct you to the table. Do to the urgent and ongoing needs of our congregational members affected by the recent tornado the Board of Service and Mission has decided to make the following change to our Giving Jug. Beginning today, Sunday August 5th, our collection will change FROM the Alzheimer s Association TO Recovery of Our Savior Lutheran member affected by the tornado. We will continue to collect for our members at least through the third quarter of the year. For information please speak with one of the members of the Board of Service and Mission. 16
