Amen. Leader: Before you were even formed, God knew you. While in your mother s womb, God named you. At your birth, God s breath filled you with life. Tonight we celebrate what you have become at this moment in time. And so we pray for God s blessing on your life. Reader 1: May the Father of Life pour out divine grace on you; may you feel God s hand in everything you do and be strengthened by the things God brings to you; this is our prayer for you. Reader 2: May the Son of God be Lord in all your ways; may Jesus be your shepherd through all your days, and in your heart may he receive the praise; this is our prayer for you. Reader 3: May the Spirit of God comfort you and make you strong, may the fullness of God s grace be spread through you to all around, breaking down the walls that separate us and uniting us in the bonds of God s love; this is our prayer for you. Reader 4: May God give you faith so that in leaving this place you know firmly and with conviction who made you, and why, and for what purpose; this is our prayer for you. Reader 5: May God give you peace, a lasting peace that dwells in your heart and enables you to comprehend the breadth and length, the height and depth of Christ s love for you; this is our prayer for you.
