2 Purpose: To show that God will use any person who is willing to surrender his or her life to him. God does not look at the age of a person but looks at the heart and calling of a person.

4 I The Prophecy Act 2:14-21 The prophecy deals with the last days and God pouring out his spirit upon all people. He deals with a future generation and an older or a season generation. Sons and daughters will prophesy, Young men will see visions. Old men will dream dreams. Even servants or slaves will experience the presence of God.

6 We are living in a time when everything is speeding up. Knowledge has increased by 1000 percent. God said to Daniel, But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

7 With knowledge increasing, will God be behind in dealing with mankind and his work that needs to be done on the earth? The answer is no. With an increase of knowledge there has been an increase of sin. But God has given us much more grace to deal with these times. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound.

8 Part of God s increase is that God is raising up an army of people both young and season who are willingly to be used by him.

9 Before we were born God had a plan, a purpose and a calling on our life. He puts in us certain desires to be and do different things. If you let God work in your life you will fulfill what God wants you to do. Isaiah 49:1 The Lord had called me from the womb: from bowels of my mother had he made mention of my name.

10 You don t have a choice in how you came into the world. But you do have a choice in letting God use you. Whether you came through an unwed mother, slavery, rape, dysfunctional family, single parent or adoption, God has a place and purpose for you being here and he wants to use you.

11 From time to time God gives us a word to let us know that we are on the right path, He is directing our steps. Psalms 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighted in his way. God wants to be the head of our life and he wants to guide each one of us so that we will be a blessing to the kingdom of God. Psalms 48:14 For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.

12 God chooses to use whoever is willing to be used. He has plans to use all of us in different ways if we let him. God can use a 12 year old or one who is 70 years old. Paul says Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou as example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, faith, in purity. Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. I Tim. 4:12-16

13 A young man or person has strength and a older man has wisdom that comes with age. Proverbs 20:27 The glory of young men is their strength: and the beauty of old men is the gray head. The grey hair of men and women is a sign of wisdom.

14 II Age is Nothing but a Number. Sarah was past the age of child bearing but at the age of 99 she begat Isaac. God gave her the grace to live to be 127 years old. God used her for 27 years to place her mark in his life and then God took her.

15 God used Noah who was 600 years old. He found grace in the eyes of the Lord. Through him eight people were saved from the flood. David was 17 and when he killed the Goliath the Philistine.

16 Yes, age is nothing but a number. God will use a 12 year old child, God will use a thirty year old person, God will use a seventy year old person. Age does not stop God from using you. What hinders God from using you is you?

17 Listen to David in the Psalms 37:25 I have been young, and now am old: yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his see begging bread. (Psalm 71:9-18).

18 III How To Be Used of God.

19 III How To Be Used of God. Make the Sacrifice. God said to present your body as a living sacrifice. He said to be transformed by renewing your mind (Romans 12:1). Have a Prayer Life. James said draw close to God and he will draw close to you (James 4:8).

20 III How To Be Used of God. Allow someone to mentor you. Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father (Galatians 4: 1-2). Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation (Heb. 13:7).

21 III How To Be Used of God. Learn to be led of the Spirit of God. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God (Romans 8:14). Read the eighth chapter of Romans over and over again. Study the word and take classes.

22 III How To Be Used of God. Be faithful to God and learn how to serve others. Worship: By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased (Heb. 13:15,16).
