2 THE REVELATION OF THE FOURTH SEAL by Pastor Steven L. Shelley Let s glorify the Lord together. Come on, let s do the best we can. Just one time, everybody... One time in this service let all the redeemed of the Lord, no matter where you stand, no matter what your spiritual condition is right now, if you know that you re redeemed by the blood, if you know that a sacrifice was made and a price was paid on your behalf, we ought to glorify the Lord right now. We ought to praise Him. Hallelujah. Glory be to God. Blessed be the Name of the Lord. Hallelujah. Wonderful, wonderful is Yeshua. We bless You. We bless You. We glorify You. (Tongues) Hallelujah. Glory... Hallelujah... Wonderful is the Lord and worthy of all of our praise. Better than we ve given Him tonight. Better than we re capable of giving Him. He deserves it all. Amen? Hallelujah. Amen. Everybody can go, but... Hallelujah. Glory to the Name of the Lord. There s an unusual Presence of the Lord in this place. And I feel... 3 makes me want to jump around, but one that just lifts me. I could just feel in the Spirit lifted up just lifted up in the Spirit of the Lord. Hallelujah. And I kept looking around for clues. I kept looking around for clues to see what the Lord was doing, what He might be doing in the house because I just kept feeling that lifting up. And maybe that s part of what Brother Kary was feeling as he was making preparation for the service tonight. The Lord knows what we have need of even more than we do. You know, sometimes, we know we have a need, but we don t know exactly what it is. But the Lord is so sensitive to those needs, isn t He? Amen. I want to go to the Lord by looking at His Word tonight. If you ll turn to Revelation, chapter 6. We welcome every one of you. It is nice to have Brother and Sister Tremain home. And we appreciate the Lord bringing them safely and enjoyed their testimony. We welcome the saints of God who are listening in tonight. They had a blessed day in Jerusalem today. We had a tour group that was visiting from Malaysia. I think some of them were from Malaysia and Singapore, and I can t remember where else. A few places. Maybe Australia I think they said. 4 today for the prayer meeting and had a wonderful time of prayer and prophetic declaration and a wonderful time in the Presence of the Lord. And they gave a nice offering into the work of the Lord there. And it s just a blessing when people pass through and they re blessed. This was part of the ministry that Sister Ruth had in Jerusalem since the early seventies. When I was there a few weeks ago, we had that wonderful group from Sweden. And that was such a wonderful blessing to have them. It was led by the Women s Aglow which is the female counterpart, if you don t know... some of you wouldn t know if you hadn t come from old mainline Pentecost. And when the Full Gospel Businessmen s Fellowship came... And Brother Branham was used many times as a speaker... Brother Jack Coe, some of those great men of God in that hour and season, were used as speakers in these big Full Gospel Businessmen s Conventions. And during those hours, some time after that, they formed a women s group. And it was called Women s Aglow. And the Lord sent that Women s Aglow group, although there were some brothers with them from Sweden, to be with us in the house and now this group from Malaysia. And we also had the Taiwanese group there already. So the basement was just jammed packed to get everybody in there. But they had such a wonder... 3 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 5 And that blesses me because my heart is also there. And I know the precious promises that God has made over the ministry there and what He was going to do and how He was going to use it to sow into the nations of the world. And Sister Nancy took some time today to share with the ladies, the Taiwanese ladies, to share with them about the teaching on the four beasts. And they were so blessed. And they had questions. And these are the ladies I mentioned Sunday morning. Maybe you didn t catch it quite. But these are some of the precious sisters that the Lord sent when we were there last year. We had the privilege of teaching them the Godhead on two different occasions. We spent several hours teaching them the Oneness of God which was something they had never heard in Taiwan. And then we also had a grand privilege of taking them to the Jordan River and baptizing them in the Name of Yeshua in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. And that was a wonderful blessing. So we feel connected to these sisters Sister Hsueh-shu and Sister Zion and Sister Hope and all the different ones. And we just thank God. They ve taken materials back, and they ve shared it. These are unusual ladies because they go all the time for prayer. They travel all over the world, and they stay three or four weeks at a time in different nations just praying and just asking the Lord to send His Word, to open His Word to people and to send revival in those nations. 6 And you know, God honors that. I thought about when we were singing tonight, I m going to let go and let God take me to the nations of the world. What would you do if the Lord spoke to you that He was going to send you to a nation and all you were going to do was pray in the hotel and seek the Lord? And God spoke to me a long time ago that I should never miss an opportunity to pray in a nation. When I was even just setting down... there have been times over the years that we sat down... the plane would land in a nation, and they wouldn t even let us get out. But I always spent that time on the airplane praying and interceding that God would send revival. And I ve mentioned many times... I ll hurry... how God sent us to Hungary for only one night with no meetings. And we prayed almost all night in that hotel in Hungary. And because of that, God sent a great revival of this message of Truth throughout Hungary. And it was amazing how He used Brother Andrews Lartey to be the one that would go from church to church to church throughout Hungary my African brother. And God used him in such a wonderful way. Let me mention to you as you re turning to Revelation, chapter 6... I forget sometimes all the things that I m supposed to say and share with you that happen during the week. But last week, Brother Andrews called. And he has missed me a lot of times, and I ve not been able to be in contact with him. But he called, 5 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 7 and we talked almost an hour on the phone one night. And he began to tell me some wonderful things that had taken place. And he said, You know, Brother Shelley, just a few weeks ago I got out every prophecy that you ve ever given me, and I read over them. And he said, I saw, and I showed it to the brothers, how that everything you spoke, how it has come to pass. And he read one of the prophecies of where I gave him, one year when he was here, about trouble that was going to come from unexpected places and how that God would sustain him through that terrible time. And he said, That s what we came through. But God has blessed that little group. We re just praying for so many of those precious people that they will find their deliverance. And God is doing some wonderful things. Oh, the Lord is here tonight. I can tell some of you are too... maybe too tired or too tense or stressed out or concerned or worried about something to enjoy His Presence. But I purposed in my heart today that I would come into His House tonight without tension, without stress. Just to open my heart. Oh, there s plenty to worry about. I don t mean we don t have worries and thoughts and concerns. But I purposed in my heart to leave them in the van and not let em come under this Tabernacle with me tonight so God could speak to me. 8 The visions that the Lord has given me continue to circulate around the world through the Internet. Two other groups... Sister Nancy informed me about two other groups that have ed them all over the world. And people are very anxious to learn more. And it s going to be our duty somehow to open up some of these wonderful things that we take for granted. And we just, sometimes if you re not careful, you ll think everybody believes what you... you know, little nuggets and things about the Church Ages, the Seals, and... And you just get to thinkin that all the churches teach that. But they don t. And we re so blessed to have come in contact with what the Lord has done. He s just been faithful. If you believe that, say, Amen. Revelation, chapter 6. And I just want to read tonight two verses of scripture. Verse 7 and verse 8. Verse 7 said, And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. (Revelation 6:7) How many of you remember what that fourth beast was represented by? The face of what? Not a lion. Not a lion. Not an ox. Not a man. But he was represented with the face of a flying eagle. I was studying the Book of the Revelation today, and I found a place in Greek that was very unusual. I won t talk about it tonight in detail. 9 They gave us in English the word angel, but do you know that it is the same word? It was not the word that had been previously translated as angel where we heard the meaning of that was messenger or male messenger. But the same word that was... I want to say mistranslated, but I don t want to disturb anybody. It was mistranslated to angel. But it came from the same word that was used to describe what John saw when he said a flying eagle. So there s one of the places... I won t tell you where right now, but there s one of the places in the Book of the Revelation where the English version said, And the angel, but it came from the same word that was translated in another place a flying eagle. We know tonight that an eagle represents the prophetic and more detailed, or more specifically, a prophet. But it represents the prophetic. And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with the sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. (Revelation 6:7-8) Father, we thank You tonight for this revelation. We thank You for the testimony of Jesus Christ that has come to us by Your servant John. 10 day. We bless You for it. We thank You for it. For it is the testimony of Jesus Christ. And it has come to us not by man s intellect, but it has come as it was prophesied that it would come. It has come by the spirit of prophecy. How we thank You for that. And we don t want to miss it, Lord. We don t want to fail to be grateful. We want to thank You ever so much for Your precious Word. Bind every hindering hand of the enemy. Lord, keep us right now under the pavilion of Your leadership. Speak only that which You would have us to hear, Lord. And give us ears to hear it and receive it for eternal value and purposes that we may not even know of this evening. Lord, let Your Word accomplish that which it s sent forth to do. And let it have its way in us. For we desire to be moved and swayed and changed by the Living Word of God. We ask these things in the wonderful Name of the exalted Messiah. His Name is Yeshua. Amen. And the Church said, Amen. The Lord is so faithful to us. And we have... we ve missed a few services here on the Seals. So we re going to do that. I didn t want to take up the Passover meetings with this teaching. But the Lord just impressed on my heart that I should try to get this Fourth Seal out. And I feel an Anointing from the Lord tonight that perhaps it would be good to move on with this because we don t know what is yet to come for the rest of the meetings. 9 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 11 And so we just want to be on time. It s very, very important to be on time with God. Amen? And to be moving in His time frame because we just don t know when God is going to come and say Amen. And when He does, we want all the foundation laid, and the framework, and the scaffolding. And everything that needs to be there, we want it to be there so that when God comes and says Amen, it will have full effect in our lives. God always interprets His Word how? By bringing it to pass. That is how we can always know the true and right interpretation of the Word because eventually before our eyes, God is going to bring it to pass. And then we ll know for sure. It s easy to get a little confused otherwise. So we just sometimes say we... this is how we see it, this is how we feel it, this is what we sense in our spirit. But one of these days God s going to bring it to pass. And so we don t want to become too dogmatic about our thoughts, do we? Because when the Lord brings it to pass, that will be what s right. We ll have to say, Well, that was right, now. That wasn t exactly how I thought it was going to come, but that was right. You know, on a less happy note, we re in the Pesach season. And we re greeted by Hag Pesach Sameach. Happy Passover Holiday or Season. And as we think about it, as I was last night having just a little fellowship... And as I was doing that, my mind drifted back. And these aren t pleasant thoughts for my flesh. But my mind drifted back that it was 10 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 12 seven years ago during this same season that the Lord brought His Word to pass. And it was again not as we had interpreted it, not as we had expected or anticipated it. But when it was all finished, we knew that God had done it. And we could only... we could only ask Him to come and put salve in our wounds and help us to have strength to go on for Him. But it was seven years ago during the Pesach season that the Lord fulfilled the prophecy that He had spoken to us sometimes earlier when He said, The waters of separation are going to flow through this place. And I m going to divide. Some are going to be left standing on one side, and some are going to be left standing on the other side. But you ll see in the end that this is Me. And it s for eternal purposes. And you know, God has been faithful to do just that. Here we stand. And we can say God has brought a few in, and we have seen a few go out. And all of this is encouraging when new people come along. It s encouraging. When people drift away or go in another direction, it s very discouraging and very sad. But the only way we can get through all of it is to keep our focus in the right place. And we have to do that. And that s why we heard Brother Branham say in such a simple way... He said, Keep your eyes on Calvary. Don t ever lose your vision of Calvary. And by doing so, you can t see Calvary without seeing Christ. 13 and keep pressing toward Christ. And you know, the words to that song still thrill me. After all these years, I m still thrilled when I think about the message that is given in this song that says, Turn your eyes on Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face. And the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace. When revival strikes your life, when you have seen Jesus... That s what revival is. That s what revival is. Revival is seeing Jesus. When you see Him, it causes revival. Revival is not an atmosphere in the church like we often interpret it to be. Revival is a personal encounter with God as an individual. And what often happens is when you get more than one seeing God at the same time, having a change of spirit and attitude at the same time, it has a tendency to create an atmosphere that causes others to want to press in and see the same thing. And that s what we feel sometime moving among us. And we call that revival. But revival cannot be seen. Revival is like the wind. It can t be seen. All we can see about revival is the effects of revival. But revival blows like the wind. You hear the Spirit talking to you tonight. But Jesus said, The wind, you know, it comes, it blows where it listeth, and so forth. We have these different scriptures when Jesus spoke about the wind. And we read about the wind blowing. 14 I love the scripture in Ecclesiastes that talks about the circuits of the wind. I used to preach a message in youth camps all over the United States and in some foreign countries about chasing the wind. And just about the time you get it in your hand... This is what a lot of people forget. A dream will come something you would like to accomplish in your life. And you ll go chasing after it with all the fervor that a man can muster. And you get close enough to it that you can hold it in your hand. And the next thing you know, the circuit of the wind has changed, and it s blowing in another direction. And it blows right out of your hand, and you still don t have what you worked so hard to have. And you go chasing in another direction. That s what happened to Solomon. Do you understand what I m sharing with you? That s what happened to Solomon. He was looking and searching for something like people are today. I said, like people are today. He was searching for something that satisfies. I want to tell the world... but I can t tell the world tonight so I ll tell you. I have found that which satisfies. Deeper than the surface of sensuality, deeper than the surface of emotion, deeper than the surface of pleasure for the flesh, I have found that which eternally satisfies that deep peace and satisfaction in knowing the Lord. 15 The whole world is on a journey. Let s praise Him. The whole world is on a journey. I saw Solomon on that kind of a journey when I read the Book of Ecclesiastes. He went searching for this. He went searching for that. He said, I set out to do everything, to find everything, all the pleasure that could be found in life, I wanted to find it. If you study the life of Solomon, you ll know that he built the most exquisite hanging gardens that the world had ever known. He built and planted the... built beautiful homes and planted beautiful vineyards. And he had a whole bunch of wives. And if that wasn t enough, he had a whole bunch of concubines a thousand women altogether when you added it up. My, my, my... this is hard for me to fathom, because any husband knows it s difficult to emotionally support one woman. How in the world could a man financially and emotionally support a thousand? He had to be a rich man, didn t he? And yet all of that didn t satisfy him. He searched this way and that way and the other way... in the Book of Ecclesiastes. And you know what he said at the end? He said, I have come to this conclusion. There is nothing new under the sun. Everything that I have experienced, somebody has already experienced it before me. And they received as much satisfaction out of it as I did. It only stays with you for a season, and the new wears off of it. Are you hearing me? The new wears off of it. And then that which is so exciting and so invigorating, it becomes old news. And you go on a journey looking for something else. 16 something else, you find out that only satisfies you for a little while, too. And so Solomon came down at the end of the Book of Ecclesiastes, and he said, I ve come to this conclusion. The whole duty of man is to fear God and keep His commandments. And in these things, that s where there is peace and that s where there is satisfaction in keeping the commandments of God. Can anybody say, Amen. There is peace. That was a pitiful, pitiful amen. Very, very insufficient, because I m speaking about something very, very important in your life. And maybe you ve not... you can t vigorously amen because you may not have reached the end of the matter. But Solomon, when he came to the end of the matter, when he had finished his journey and when he had finished chasing the wind, he was able to say, This is where real peace is in keeping the commandments of God and fearing the living God and serving this great God. That s where it all comes from. And that s what it all boils down to. How many of you really know that? If you don t, it s a lesson that you must learn, and you must learn quickly. Because I m telling you, there s a greater separation coming than the one we ve known greater separation than the one we ve known, because the Word of the Lord tells us there s coming an hour when those who are His are going to be sealed as His. 17 And in that moment there s no way to change sides. See, there s coming an hour when people won t be swapping back and forth, serving the Lord and not serving the Lord, and serving the Lord and not serving the Lord. I used to preach as a little boy... Remember now, I started preaching when I was seven years old publicly. Started pastoring at seventeen, but evangelizing at seven. I had only preached a few services in my home church when I was invited to start preaching in other churches all across Columbus and Phenix City, and then began traveling. And so, my message had to be simple in those days. I sometimes mispronounced words. I was preaching on separation one time as a little boy, and I kept calling it divorcement instead of divorce. But people understood. They knew what I meant. And they were bearing with me. But I just want you to think about a seven-year-old, what his mentality would be. And yet there was a gift in my life, and so forth, and God used me. But I remember preaching about people s straddling the fence hanging one leg in the world and one leg in Christ. And I said, One of these days, as sure as we live, there s coming a great big wrecking ball from heaven that s going to come right down that fence. This was a seven-year-old talking. It s going to come right down that fence, and it s going to knock all those people off who are straddling the fence. 18 judgment, because God is saying in this hour it s important to be hot or cold. But the lukewarm, those who have their leg in the world and their leg in the House of God, those are the ones who are going to... You know, this is still an appropriate message for the hour we re living in right now. I just... I m glad I know. I m glad I know that I know. I feel with compassion for those that have not come that far in their race yet that they re still not sure. But I am sure. I want you to know, I m sure there is nothing to go back to. There s nothing to look back to. There s no other thing that satisfies for longer than a season but knowing that you re saved, knowing that you re sanctified, knowing that you ve been filled with the genuine Holy Ghost and that God has revealed His precious Word of life to you. That s where real peace is. Now, in this fourth Seal we hear John describing what he saw. And very soon the scene is about to change. You see, the first four Seals were revealed to John in heaven. But the scene was what was going on in the earth. But very soon we re going to step into the fifth Seal. And when we do, the arena, the theater, is going to change. And it s no longer going to be the theater of the earth, but it s going to be in the realm of heaven. The fifth Seal reveals what s going on in heaven. And a spiritual heart will be able to discern that the fifth Seal is absolutely running simultaneously with the fourth Seal. The fourth Seal is revealing the 17 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 19 condition of things in the earth. And at the very same time, the fifth Seal is revealing the condition of things in heaven. But this is running simultaneously. You see, the thing you need to remember about this fourth Seal that perhaps you ve forgotten is a man of God said one time that this Seal was in the future. He said, This is in the future. And he gave his opinion that... And you say, Why do you say it that way? Because other times, later, he said something a little different. So I know that perhaps this was just sharing what he was feeling at the moment. He said, Because by the time this comes, the Church will already be gone. And he was speaking about the fourth Seal. Now what I discern in the Spirit when I study these Seals is that simultaneously these things are going on right now. And we re living in that fourth Seal. There s no way around it. There s no way around it. A lot of people would like to put us somewhere else. Somebody said, Well, if we re getting ready to step into the coming of the Lord, which is the seventh Seal, wouldn t we be living in the sixth Seal? You better hope not. You better pray this is not the sixth Seal. Because under the sixth Seal, the greatest judgment that the world has ever known was revealed. The greatest calamity the world has ever known was revealed under the sixth Seal. I guarantee you by the time the sixth Seal is breaking forth in the earth, the Bride of Jesus Christ will have already have moved into 18 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 20 another realm. Spiritually, at least, we ll be in another realm with Him because those judgments are not going to be poured out on the elect. Not the elect Jew and not the elect Gentile because God takes care of His own. We know that by the Spirit. But in this fourth Seal, it is revealed what s going on in the earth. And what did he see? A beast come forth and said, Come and see. This time it wasn t the lion, and it wasn t the ox. The lion was not roaring with the right interpretation of the Word. The ox was not revealing the strength to stand up under the load and the Anointing to lay down his life as a sacrifice. And the man was not revealing the brilliance, the shrewdness, of man to bring the Church to reform. In this case, when the fourth Seal was loosed by the Lamb, there was another beast that came and said, John, come and see what s here. And this was the fourth beast. And this beast was represented by the face of a flying eagle. I tell you, every time I think that, every time that thought comes to my mind, I almost fly away because I realize what God has done in this day that He has covered us with the Anointing of an eagle. And my life, you know, ever since God spoke to me in the basement of the Roark s church in North Carolina. I was in that basement. I didn t know anything about what those people believed much. 21 preaching at an Assembly of God church. And brother, that was a miracle because I d left the Assemblies of God years before and was already teaching and preaching things that they no longer believed in. But God gave me an opportunity through my friend Jeff, who knew these people well. And I m telling you, we had a meeting. Brother, I could tell you tales and things about how God moved. But I won t take time to do that. They came and visited. And they invited me. Now this is what has helped me the most. God didn t let me come to Truth under people that were so stiff and so stubborn and so dogmatic that they didn t have a heart for the moving of God. There s probably less than a dozen churches in the nation that would have done... that believe what we re supposed to believe that would have done for me what the Roark s did. They invited me to preach knowing I didn t believe like they believed. But they sensed, or at least this was their testimony to me later, they sensed the great gift in my life that they knew would be a blessing to their church. And they knew that I was a servant of God. And the same God who loved them loved me. And they never witnessed to me about what they believed. It was in that same basement that I wandered up later. Not this trip, but another trip, when I was beginning to believe and didn t know exactly that it was the same thing they believed. And they invited me to preach 20 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 22 another time. And when I did that time, I was staying in the same basement. And I went upstairs to look on the tape rack to borrow a tape to listen to. And I happened to take a tape down into the basement of the church that was preached by Brother Pearry Green. And it was entitled Tears. And it was a masterpiece on tears. And it was in that tape that I heard a very urgent and desperate prayer request for a young lady and her family who had had a terrible accident in El Paso, Texas. And they weren t expecting her to live. And I had such a feeling in my heart. And something really came over me in that moment. And that stayed in my mind, not knowing that some years later I would meet that young lady and that that would be Sister Royelle and that she would be such an important part in the ministry as she has been all these last good many years. I didn t know all that then. I didn t know that the Lord... what was going on. But I knew God was doing something special. But in that basement God spoke to me one day, and He said, Surround yourself with eagles. He said it. I heard it so real. It sounds so simple, but I ll tell you it was so profound at that moment. He said, Surround yourself with eagles. And I went down to the Bible bookstore, and I started looking around for eagle things. And I bought me an eagle pic- 21 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 23 ture. And I bought a little eagle to go on my desk and a little paperweight that said, They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. I was just surrounding myself with eagles like the Lord said. But I didn t know what He really meant. That was yet to be revealed. I didn t know that the Bible said, Where the carcass is, there will the eagles be gathered together. That was the very Word that was given over this campground some years ago when it was dedicated to the Lord. This will be a refuge for eagles. And eagles will gather where the carcass is. And that s not the old possum s carcass out there on the road that the vultures gather around. But that carcass represents the Body Word of Jesus Christ, the living revelation of who He is and what He desires to do for those that belong to Him. And eagles just have a tendency... spiritual people. Well, we were laughing, a few of us, recently about something. Somebody said... and this wasn t the first time it had ever been spoken. I hope this don t offend you. Maybe you re the exception to the rule. You probably are the exception to the rule. But somebody said, It s amazing to me since I ve been in contact with this ministry, how many strange people it attracts and draws and how we deal with different things. I said, Maybe you re the exception to the rule. Not likely. But perhaps you re the one. And I said, Yeah, it s true. It s true. Some have been so far out, we couldn t have any help for them. 24 right amount of strange. Remember what we heard? He said, It s all right to be a nut as long as you re threaded to the right bolt. It s all right to be a nut. What in the world... what did he say about oddballs? You know, God s people have always been outside the mainstream. Our Lord was outside the mainstream. He suffered without the camp. He died in a place where malefactors died. He was buried outside the city where the malefactors are buried, so to speak, although it was a tomb of a rich man. It would have been the desire of people to be right up closer, up where everything was going on. But He suffered without the camp, the Bible said this precious Lamb. Thank God He was willing to suffer without the camp. Somebody said, But you sure collect strange people. I know some people get offended at that. That s cause they re strange, and they don t want to admit it. I said, Yeah. Sometime when I m registering for something on the Internet, it says... they want to ask a secret word. They want you to choose a secret question and give a secret word for a hint to get your password if you ever lose it. And I always lose my passwords for things. And so sometimes the question is, What s your mother s maiden name? And that s easy. My mother s... I shouldn t tell you because then you d know. But, anyway, my mother s maiden name. 25 of times they d ask that. But sometimes it asks what your favor collection is what you collect. I never know what to say. I told them... I was just making a little joke... I said, I don t know whether to put eagles or weirdos. But you know that s just how it is because when you put your head in the Word and get it out of the world, you just start becoming what you eat. And when you eat the Word and you become like the Word, it s going to make you a little bit different from the mainstream. Now we re not to set out to see just how weird we can be. But we are to be different. Say, Amen. We are to be set apart, sanctified and peculiar, belonging exclusively to the Lord and no one else. Hallelujah. Now here come this horse, this flying eagle beast came and called John to see. And here came a horse, and its color was not white. Its color was not red. Its color was not black. But the Bible describes his color as what? Pale. And a prophet looked into the mind of God and he said, This pale is not a color in itself. I mean, you don t say red, black, yellow, green, pale. But he said, Pale, what it really is it s a mixture of all these other colors. He said, If you took black and white and red and you mix them together, he said, what you would be getting would be a pale color. That s very profound because he said, That s what kind of a spirit is going to operate in the earth under the fourth Seal. Somebody said, Why is that important? 26 the Bride must be. We must be right there in that time. In some aspect anyway, in some way, in some form, that s where we must be. We know that he taught us through the Word that the man on the horse never changes. He rides through the ages. And when he does, he changes masks. He comes as anti-christ, and then false prophet, and then beast. But we were taught in the Word that these are three manifestations of the same devil. I m glad somebody wants to hear this. These are three manifestations of the same devil. Just like Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are three manifestations of the same God. It s not three separate devils (anti-christ, false prophet, and beast) or three separate Persons (Father, and then the Son, and then the Holy Ghost.) But it s three separate functions or three separate manifestations, but all the same God. For God is one. And Satan is appearing and manifesting himself as trinity, as a trinity. But he is not literally a trinity, but one devil. The same devil was riding on that horse. But he changed his method, his mask, his approach is changed down through the years. First of all, the man of God said he came with false doctrine. And that s why it took a lion to roar those apostles to roar out against error and to proclaim the Truth of the Word of God. And Satan said, Hey, that s not getting enough damage done. So he turned around and came on a red horse, with war, and with sword, and with violence. 27 Now I m going to do a little more damage. And that wasn t even sufficient. And he said, So now I m going to come on a black horse, and I m going to plunge the world into darkness. Now the reason why we know we re not living under the third Seal is the man of God said, That is the Dark Ages. And we re not living in the Dark Ages. We ve come out of the Dark Ages by the Anointing that was on the reformers. It took a Martin Luther to restore justification by faith. It took a John Wesley to restore the teaching that God wanted us to be sanctified and holy. The Methodists may not be sanctified today, but God used the father of Methodism to come... a John Wesley who would declare that God wants a holy Church, a separated remnant unto Himself. And look what God did. He brought that little remnant, that little hidden secret group of people, He brought them out of the Dark Ages. He restored the faith of justification. He restored the teaching of sanctification. He set them apart from all the rest. And then look what He did in 1906 when Laodicea was coming in. He baptized that remnant with the Holy Ghost and Fire. And He restored the gifts that were given on the day of Pentecost. And we re thankful tonight that those gifts are still operating in the true church of God. Oh, yes, they are. There s still prophecy. There s still tongues. There s still interpretation. There s still wisdom. There s still knowledge. There s still miracles. 28 Oh, give me that one, Lord. That s the one I want right now. Let me operate in that gift of faith. Everybody has faith. The Bible said, To every man was given a measure. Another writer said, THE measure of faith. This is not the faith that s given by the gifts of the Holy Ghost. That faith is a super faith. It s an unusual kind of faith. It s a faith like Abraham had when he hoped against hope, when he believed when everything would tell him not to believe. He stood when nobody else would stand. And that s why the Word of the Lord came and said, The Bride in the last days, they re not just like everybody else. They re not the same flesh that everybody else is. They ve come from a different place. Oh, yes. That sounds very strange. But he said, They re from the royal seed of Abraham. I read today where a servant of the Lord said, And there is no sin in her. I read it again. I said, Surely, he didn t mean it that way. He said, And there is no sin in the Bride of Jesus Christ. And I looked around and I thought, Oh, oh. Oh my, my, my. What do you mean there s no sin? I know people that I believe with all my heart have been called to that elected number that there s still sin. He went on to say, Because all of her sins have been remitted. Oh, hallelujah. It s like Abraham. It s like Abraham. The Bible said... talked about his sins not being imputed unto him. 29 You ve already been forgiven. You ve already been redeemed. You ve already been saved. You don t get saved and unsaved, and saved and unsaved, and saved and unsaved. He saved you once and for all at the cross of Calvary. He looked into the heavenly realm and cried, It is finished. And when He said that, brother, salvation was brought down. The work of your deliverance was settled. No matter what station of life you re in tonight. No matter what spiritual condition you re in tonight. That much is settled. When He sees you, He s not looking at your sin. He sees the blood. It s covered. It s there. Now that doesn t mean you can go on in those things and continue there. No. Because grace abounds, will you continue in sin? God forbid. You ve got to search out your experience and your relationship with God. You ve got to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, the Bible said. We don t just say we re Bride, and we can do whatever we want to because we re forgiven. No, no, no, no, no. No. God forbid. But it sure helps us to know that this thing is finished, and it s settled. It helps me to know that I don t have to get holy enough, and clean enough, and pure enough for God to save me righteous enough. Because at my best, the Bible said, all of my righteousness would be like the righteousness of the backslidden Israelites. All of it would just be filthy rags. 30 righteousness according to the flesh and in the flesh. It would still be insufficient to please a holy God. But oh, when He covered me and set me apart, ransomed me and redeemed me, and set me apart from those around me. Oh, in that hour... Hallelujah. It caused great jealousy, you know. When God chooses you and sets you apart and makes you different and live a different life, it causes great resentment and jealousy. Joseph s brothers despised him. So much so, they wanted to kill him. But oh, there came a day they were glad they didn t kill him. There came a day they were glad they didn t kill him because the one that they condemned to death was the one that God raised up to be their savior. Oh, there s coming a nation, a day, when a nation of people are going to be glad that Messiah Ben Joseph is the same as Messiah Ben David. They re going to be glad that He s the same. They re going to be glad when they recognize that the suffering Messiah is the same One that will come as the victorious conquering Messiah. Same one. Yeshua of Nazareth. Same One. Hallelujah. Oh, He didn t die because He failed to finish the job. He died because that s the only way He could make the job certain and finished and secure. We re living in that hour right now... and I ll hurry. It s 9:05. We re living in that hour right now where that pale horse rider rides out across this earth. And somebody said, What can we expect? Because every demon of hell, every method of the enemy that was used in that day of the white horse rider, every method of the enemy that was used in the day of the red horse rider, and every method of the enemy that was used in the day of the black horse rider, all of that is gathered together into this age. It is the consummation of the evil of all the ages. It s come down to Laodicea. Didn t he say Laodicea is the most evil age that has ever been on the face of the earth? Perversion didn t start in Laodicea, it blossomed in Laodicea. It started from the beginning way back. But it has come to a blossom, to a fruition in Laodicea. I m telling you, this world is sicker than most of us little sheltered minds would even want to think about. It s all around us. And if it hadn t of been for that fourth beast... What was it that allowed those early Christians to stay clear of that white horse rider who came tooting the horn of false doctrine? What was it that protected a remnant and kept them under the true Word of God? It was the Anointing of that first beast that poured out into the earth as a lion to roar against error and to roar declaring the Word of the Lord. And the little elected Bride of God in that day, they just hid under the Anointing of that lion. That s why God used the lion to say to John, Come and see what s under the first Seal. 32 It was in the days... a portion of the Inquisition was under that Seal a great portion... where all of those 68 million people lost their lives. And it was in that day that the burden was so heavy and the church was sought out. And they were having to hide, make their home in dens and caves. And what was it that gave them the strength? It was because the ox... the second of the four beasts who called John to come and see what was under the second Seal revealed by that red horse rider... it called him over there. And it was because of the ox Anointing that flowed out into the earth that gave those men and women of God in that age the strength to stand up like an ox and carry the load of the hour they were living in. That s how they did it. And the same thing about the ox we ve heard in the Revelation of Jesus Christ series... We ve heard that an ox was not only a beast of burden, but he was a sacrificial animal. He was one of the animals used in the worship of God in the Tabernacle and in the Temple. And he gave his life willingly as a sacrificial animal. I mean we re not talking about a little bitty lamb here. We re talking about a big old ox. And we ve heard that that same Anointing that was on that second creature... Oh, he moved in divine synchronization. Remember how Ezekiel saw them? 33 that s the same four beasts that Ezekiel saw. He saw those same creatures, those Seraphims that dwelt in the Presence of God Cherubims and Seraphims. He saw them. And they moved in such divine and holy synchronization. And he described it in such detail. It s hard to still get the picture. But he said, They moved and the wheels moved with them. And they marched forward. And whithersoever he went, they went with him. They know basically it s what s being revealed. They followed. And they turned neither to the right or to the left. Ezekiel saw them in their strength. Ezekiel saw them in their strength. And John saw them in their fulfillment, in the fulfillment of what God had given them strength for. It was that ox Anointing that came. And then in that last hour when the world became dark, the black horse rider came. And the world was plunged into the Dark Ages. And there were very few men to lead the church and very few preachers who would preach the whole Word. And Truth was almost completely lost, we ve heard. God used the beast that was represented by the face of a man symbolizing the shrewdness of man that he would be able to get in there. And when we use this word shrewd in this context, we don t mean it evil or ugly or fleshly or carnal. God used the man, the mentality and the 32 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 34 shrewdness of man, to reach in there and get those truths of the Reformation. Hallelujah. So thank God for that lion Anointing on the early Church. And thank God for that ox Anointing during the days of Inquisition. And thank God for that great Anointing of the shrewdness of man in the days of the Dark Ages. But here we are. And we re not facing one aspect of Hell. Every one of those ages... If you don t hear anything else, hear this. And then maybe you ll go home tonight and know why the devil fights you tooth and toenail. If you ll hear what I m saying tonight, you ll know why it s such a struggle in this hour. You ll know why the devil attacks us in our mind. That s where he is attacking. Because we ve heard it spoken prophetically that the greatest battle ever fought is fought in this age in Laodicea in the battlefield of the mind. This is how the enemy does his work against God s people is speaking to their minds. What a battle rages. Hear me. Hear me. Hear me. Hear me. What a battle rages in the minds of the servants of the Lord. But God gave sufficient Anointing in that day of the lion. And He gave sufficient grace and Anointing in the day of the ox. And He gave sufficient Anointing in the day of the man. And that same God has brought us to this age, to this hour, where we have all the evil... 35 we ve heard a message called The Breach that connects the two? It s not a gap between the two. The breach was not a gap between the two. The breach was a bridge between the two. He said, We re standing in the breach. But the purpose of the message was to bring the two together so that you would see they re running simultaneously in the earth. The Church Ages overlap the Seals. And he said, All the evil of every other age was gathered where? Into Laodicea. All the evil of every other age was gathered what? Into the last day. And all the evil of the white horse, and the red horse, and the black horse is gathered where? Under the fourth Seal. And so everything the devil did in the first, second, and third Seal, he s doing that under the fourth Seal. He s sounding forth his cry of error and false doctrine and false teaching and carnal interpretations of the Word. Amen. He s sounding forth.. he s swinging his sword to bring death and persecution and fear upon the remnant who wants to hold on to the true Word of God. And while we are here in this hour, we understand that it is by grace and mercy that we ve been called out from under the Anointing of the third Seal because all of us, really, we came through the dark ages. Spiritually, we ve been in the dark ages in our life before, haven t we? 36 there seemed to be no Presence of God in your life, when there seemed to be no sweetness of fellowship with Him in your spirit? Haven t you been in those dark places, those dry valleys, those dark ages? Yes. Why? Because you re living in the hour that you re living in. And all the other evils of the Seals and all the other evils of the Church Ages are gathered together under the fourth Seal in Laodicea. And God knew... I ve got to close, but I sure don t want to now... God knew that it would not be enough for the lion to roar. And He knew that it wouldn t be enough for the ox Anointing to fall on us because our flesh is not being threatened in this hour, our mind is. Most of us don t face the threat of our flesh being killed if we believe in Jesus Name baptism, or the Oneness of God, or Holiness, wearing our hair as women, long, and as men, short. And the things that we stand for in separation of the world, we don t generally face the threat of death. But we face the attack of the enemy on our mind to confuse us, to discourage us, to trip us up, to ask us what s the use and all the other thousands of tricks that the devil has used on you ever since you ve decided to serve the Lord. The sad thing is is it still works. That that s a sad part of what I m preaching tonight is because you would think that if a people could come to the place that they can recognize what this is, they would immediately be able to defeat it. 37 If those early Christians in the age of Ephesus under the leadership of Paul, if they would have disregarded the Anointing of the lion, they would have been swallowed up by the error that was being preached in that day. And if those saints of God under the riding of the red horse, if they would have rejected the Anointing of the ox to give them strength to carry the load and give their lives, they would have suffered needlessly melted into the surface. And if those saints under the riding of the black horse rider would have rejected the Anointing of the reformers who operated in the Anointing of the shrewdness of the mind to bring you out of error and back to... back to justification and back to sanctification, preparing the road for the outpouring of the Holy Ghost... If those saints of God during the Dark Ages would have rejected what God was trying to do with the reformers... and many of them did... if they did that, then they suffered needlessly. And if you and I, who are living in this hour underneath that fourth Seal in the time of Laodicea... Now I understand... for those of you that are wondering... I understand the concept of lap-over. And I hope you do. And I understand that the world is experiencing Laodicea. But the Bride of Jesus should have already been moved over into that realm of the age of the Bride. I understand that. 38 this side of Jordan, trying to get over. But my spirit, my soul, has already made the journey into the Promised Land. And I know the promise of God for me. And I know that I m for it, and it s for me. You know what I m saying? But the flesh sometimes lingers on this side to face the battles and the tests and the trials. But there is an inner man that you can t see tonight. There is a part of me that you can t see with the natural eye that s already gone in to claim those things that have been promised for the believers who overcome in this hour. Hallelujah. My spirit-man has already gone over and received the mind of Christ and the Spirit that last great Anointing to overcome. And if you want to, if you want to get real technical, the most important part of me is the part that s already gone in to claim the promise. The most important thing that you could do would be to turn loose of your spirit and soul and let God take you by revelation. It s by revelation. I m not talking about body travel or... you know what I mean, it s by revelation. It s spiritual. The best thing that could happen to you is if you let God take you out of this realm for a little while and let you see your promise. 39 And listen, brother, sister. Listen, brother, sister. God gave trance... several trance visions here. I know some people don t like to talk about those things. But brother, I m at home tonight. So you re in trouble. And in one of those trance visions, in the last one that the Lord gave, he promised... He had already promised there would be three in the first one. He promised there would be three. And two have come. The third vision we re waiting on. And in that second vision, as it was being told, the Lord said, There ll be a third. And in that vision, He said, you ll come back with a revelation. You ll bring that revelation back that will cause people to be able to stand in the very throne room of God. Somebody said, What is so important about that? Because of what I m preaching right now. We need an Anointing of the Lord to be able to take us, our inner man... Remember we re made up of body, spirit, and soul. We need God to get a hold of us on the inside of the inside and let us go on over into that spiritual realm and get those promises down, sown down, hammered down, right down into the inside, because... (tongues) because if you could ever get em where they belong, it won t matter what s going on in your flesh. Once your soul gets that seal, once your spirit catches that revelation, it won t really matter what s going on in your flesh. Your inner man will keep pulling you along. The pull that you re going to feel is not a pull above your head. But the pull that we re waiting on is when God Himself pulls us from the inside when God gets His great big hand in your inner being. 40 going to feel is a pull from the inside of you, pulling you. God pulling you, pulling you. And then when you recognize that you re being pulled along by God, it doesn t really matter what s happening to the flesh. It doesn t really matter if you... if your flesh is oppressed. It doesn t really matter if you ve got aches and pains. It doesn t really matter what kind of symptoms you have. I m not saying that that s how we re going to have to live this thing. I m not saying that at all, because I believe the same God who brought the Israelites through the wilderness with divine health, who caused their shoes... He did one of two things. He either caused their clothes and shoes to grow with them or He caused their bodies and feet not to grow, because the Word of the Lord said that they came through like that with divine provision. The God who did that for Israel is able to do that for His people in this hour. And I do not believe that Jesus is coming back for a sick Bride full of cancer and disease and symptoms of this life. I believe there is coming an hour when the curse is going to be reversed and we re going to claim the promises of God. But if you think you re going to get em first in your flesh, you re wrong. You re going to get em first here. And they re going to pull the flesh into the inheritance. What God does on the inside of you is what s going to pull your flesh into the inheritance. Absolutely. 41 That s why... that is why under the third Seal, the Word of the Lord said, See that you hurt not the oil and the wine. See that you don t touch the Holy Ghost and the stimulation of revelation because that s going to carry over from the third Seal into the fourth Seal. Don t do away with it. Don t damage it. Hold onto it and cherish it because what you ve known in a portion in your age, that last people, that last age, they re going to know the fullness of the oil and the fullness of the wine. That s you. Somebody ought to shout, Hallelujah. It s you He s talking about. It s you He s talking about. It s you He s talking about. We ve only scratched the surface. What we have as the Holy Ghost, what we know as the Holy Ghost, is only a portion of what the Holy Ghost is. In fact, the New Testament said that what we have received by the gift of God is only the earnest. It s only the pre-payment. It s only the first payment of what God really has for us this good Holy Ghost. Now that baffles my baffler to think that all this good Holy Ghost that He s given me is only the beginning. It s only the earnest money. You don t go and buy the house and put... maybe if you ve got the money you do... but most of us don t have the money to go put the full price. But we pay a little earnest money to let people know how serious we are. And this great Holy Ghost that we have, it s God s earnest to us. 42 I know this again is a debatable issue because some people believe they re sealed. Potentially, you may be. Potentially, you may be. But the prophet of God interpreted the Word like this... The fivefold ministry is in the earth until... He s here, they re here for the edification for the Bride and until all come to the fullness of the faith. When the fullness of God s work is manifested in the people, there ll be no need for the... When the Bride comes to perfection, there ll be no reason for the fivefold ministry any more. She just... she ll be unnecessary, so to speak. You understand that, don t you? And when we come to the stature of a perfect man, if you ll look at what was said in Peter there, it didn t say that you would just get a little virtue, and a little faith, and a little love, and a little brotherly kindness, and a little godliness, and a little temperance. But it said, Until these things... These things should be in you, the Bible said there in Peter, and abound. So potentially, everything you need is in you for that seal. But God s looking for the hour that that which has been planted in you by the representation of the Word, when it begins to grow and bound and multiply and bloom in your life, God will give you that final portion that s going to finish the thing. 43 God had sent in their day to cause them to accomplish what was purposed. And if you reject the Anointing that s been given for our day, you will also pay the price for rejecting it. And the Anointing that s been given today is not the Anointing that is symbolized by a lion. It s not the Anointing that s symbolized by the ox. It is not the Anointing that s symbolized by the shrewdness of man. But the Anointing that has been poured out under this fourth Seal, under this Laodicean Church Age, that Anointing is the Anointing of the flying eagle. And I don t have time to talk about what that represents in fullness. We ll do that tomorrow night or another night. But the greatness of that in simplicity, here in a nutshell, it s the prophetic. Now many, many people would say, No, no, it is the prophet. No, no, no. It is the prophetic. And the prophet operated in the prophetic. But because there are still apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, and evangelists today, the prophetic is still on the scene. Amen. And the spirit of Elijah did not leave the earth when Elijah died. It flowed... this is where people would have to get quiet because they ve already got it all figured out. They don t need me anyway. You don t need me anyway. You ve got it all figured out before you ever come. But for those of us who don t have it all figured out, here it goes. That Anointing that was on Elijah, he tried to take it with him. 44 what I just said? If you are able to recognize that I m leaving, if you are able to see me when I leave, it will be granted to you. Do you know how that could be interpreted in type and very powerfully so? If you are able to recognize that God takes His man but not His Spirit, you will surely receive a double portion. If Elisha... If your trust is only in me as a man, as a prophet, as a servant, you ll not be able to taste what I have. But if you are able to recognize that I leave here, but the Anointing that was on my life... you can have a double portion of it if you ll reach up and take it for yourself. Oh, I know people don t like that because that takes a lot off of one man and puts it on a Body, but that s the kind of ministry we were told we would have in this hour. This great revelation didn t come... Now watch this. This revelation didn t come by a group. This revelation came by one servant of the Lord. He said it s Thus saith the Lord. It doesn t come by a group. God never has more than one major prophet on the earth at a time. He said it s Thus saith the Lord. And I believe that. He said there s a lot of people that are saying it s all going to happen by a group. I do not believe that. God s never done it that way. There s only one major prophet on the scene at that time. 45 But a real mystery was revealed in Kings. If you see me when I m leaving. If you re able to recognize... How do we know that that s...? Somebody said, How do you know that that s what he meant? I know it by the Bible. I ll show it to you in the Bible, but in the New Testament instead of the Old Testament. Somebody said, What in the world do you mean? Elijah and Elisha were in the Book of Kings. That s the Old Testament. How are you going to prove to me what Elijah s spirit was like by looking in the New Testament? Very simply. Jesus said that Elias must surely come. And a few verses later He said, He is come already. And guess who that was? Guess who He was speaking about as fulfilling a portion of Malachi 4:5-6? He was speaking about John the Baptist. Now we know tonight that John the Baptist only fulfilled a portion of Malachi 4:5-6 because the prophecy that was given through the prophet Malachi to the body was this that spirit of Elijah will come, and he will restore the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the children to the fathers. Jesus spoke about the ministry of John the Baptist, and also his father Zecharias prophesied about the kind of ministry he would have. And the Scripture is very clear. I happened to have it written in the back of my Bible. The Scripture is very clear. Very clear there. No doubt about it. (Somewhere I have it written.) Hallelujah. Glory to God. No, I m not looking for John. 46 Why did He misquote the prophet Malachi? Because He was showing us that only a portion of this Elijah ministry was fulfilled in John the Baptist. He only fulfilled a portion of it. He turned the hearts of the old Jewish fathers to the pentecostal sons the sons on the Day of Pentecost. And he turned the disobedient back to the wisdom of the just. But he didn t fulfill the last portion of what Malachi 4:5-6 said the spirit of Elijah would do and accomplish. He said, He would come then and turn the hearts of the fathers back to the children. Now this is a very beautiful thing because Jesus said there in the same thought... He said there... this is perhaps a Scripture some of you are thinking about. In Matthew 17, verses 9-13, He was talking about John the Baptist and He said, He shall come. And then a little later He said, He has come already. He was teaching them that the spirit of Elijah has come in John the Baptist, and he has fulfilled a portion of Malachi 4:5-6. But He said there s coming... He was teaching the people... there s coming a day that Elijah will return. And the Jewish people believe that with all their heart. And we didn t have a big to-do because there s just no way, and I was just too tired. But we had a little Seder at our home. And our children, we sent them to the door because in every Jewish home the children go to the door on the Seder night. And they open up the door, and they look out to see if Elijah... 47 empty chair and an empty plate and a cup full of wine. And we did that as all the Jewish people do all over the world symbolizing their belief that the spirit of Elijah must come because the Bible clearly tells us in the Book of the Revelation that that spirit of Elijah is going to visit the earth again as one of the two witnesses that will bring forth... What they re going to do is they re going to have a wonderful ministry... oh, yes... a wonderful ministry that ties in with the sealing of the 144,000. But what we re blessed to know is that the spirit of Elijah has come in our day and has revealed a great, great mystery of God s Word. We re so blessed to know that. And what we re experiencing now is not a oneman thing. Oh, no, because God takes His man, but He doesn t take His Spirit. And I ll tell you what I believe. I believe the Bride of Jesus Christ in the last days will operate in the same spirit of Elijah. She s not a wilderness man. You see, that was to the one. That was to one that this spirit of Elijah comes that major prophet. And he operates like a wilderness man. And he cries out against that Jezebel spirit and all that. But if you study that spirit of Elijah, you ll find out it s a spirit of overcoming, and standing firm, and declaring the Truth and not being bent here and there. And I believe that s the same kind of an Anointing that we need. And what was Elijah? He was a prophet. And what does the flying eagle represent? It represents a prophet. 48 saw him. And he had the face of a flying eagle. And I asked myself, What s the difference between the face of an eagle and the face of a flying eagle? It seemed to me like it would be the same face. And the Spirit of the Lord dropped into my spirit, It s the expression. It is the same face. An eagle has the same face whether he s flying or sitting on a nest somewhere, but the expression on the face changes. Because when he s sitting on a nest, he s earthbound and he wears the countenance of the earth. But when he spreads his wings and allows the wind to catch him and take him into the higher heights of revelation, he doesn t have the same look on his face as he did when he was dwelling in the realms of the earth. Now he s got that heavenly face. He s got that touch of heaven and the touch of the heights. Oh, hallelujah. And in the fourth Seal, the prophet told us that the eagle could go where the crow couldn t go and the buzzard couldn t go and all the other eagles couldn t go. And he said, The reason why they can t is because they re not pressurized for the heights. But God,... He said. This is what he said. He said, God has built His people... Not just His prophet. He said, God has built His people for the heights. The greatest thing about the resurrection... Oh, there s many great things. I don t know what the greatest thing would be. And that man of the Lord saw that group of people. And here s what he said. He said, These are your people. And he said, Are they all Branhams? He said, They re my people. Are they all Branhams? If I would have been there, Are they all Shelleys? If you would have been there, whatever your name, Are they all Weems? Are all these people Wittmeiers? No. What were these people? These were people that heard the Word, and they allowed that same Anointing and that same Spirit that was on that Word to get on them. And in that sense of the word, they all looked like Branhams. It s kind of like that little LaFontaine girl sung, You re looking more like your father every day. Oh, hallelujah. I have no desire to emulate a man. I have no desire to pattern my life after a man to do, you know... He said some people, they emulate their pastor. If he jerks his head this way, they jerk their head that way. We re not interested in that. Why do you think he said something like that? Because he saw those people that were going to, as soon as he left the scene, they were going to see how much like him they could act, you know. 50 never wore nothing but tennis shoes, now they want to wear boots. And you know that spirit that went across the land where everybody thought they had to have an eagle belt buckle. And, oh, people don t like this. I don t care. Everybody thought they had to have a Stetson hat. And everybody is going to emulate a man. And that s what happens when you have confidence in somebody, you often find yourselves emulating them. And that s all right except that we re not called of God to emulate somebody in the flesh. We re supposed to desire the God that was in him and emulate the Spirit that they carry. And brother, I say this... I say this... If wearing cowboy boots and putting on a bow-lo tie would cause me to have that spirit, that s exactly what I would do. But I found out that you don t get the same Holy Ghost that was on a man by walking like the man, or dressing like the man, or tilting your head like the man. But I ll tell you what you do. If you want the Spirit that was on that servant of God or any other servant of God that you have confidence in, I tell you how to get it. You pay the price that he paid. You lay it on the line like He laid it on the line. And God will let you have the same victory. He ll let you have the same victory in your life. But a lot of people didn t see him when he left. 51 when I leave... John the Baptist said the same thing. He said, I must decrease, that He might increase. The forerunner... the forerunner has to decrease so that the God and the Spirit that was on him can increase. So that Jesus, Jesus... John the Baptist came to do what? To point us to Jesus. Oh, hallelujah. Don t misunderstand. I ve been in this long enough. I ve been balanced in these things long enough. You see, I didn t get mine under somebody else. I didn t come to this Truth... That s what makes me so radical. I didn t come to this Truth under some other preacher. God revealed it to me as I studied the Message of the Hour and read what had been given. What I mean is I didn t take on the spirit of the church because I didn t grow up in a church like that. Oh, the things I hear and read. The things that I know that go on. The things that people have come to believe in this day make me want to puke. Not even realizing they re under that same attack, they re under that same spirit, that same curse that the pale horse rider brought. They re walking in error and calling it Truth. They ve so interpreted and changed and twisted the Word of the Lord, they call error Truth. They re so blind. Many people are so blind. They don t know the Truth from error. And they don t know that it s not about what you know. It s about what you live and what you produce. That s what God s going to judge us by in the end. 52 It s better to have the right spirit and the wrong doctrine than to have the right doctrine and a wrong spirit. God s going to judge you more by the spirit you re under than the doctrine you have. That s what we were being taught. Oh, I want to recognize the Anointing. Come, stand. Stand. I didn t realize it was 9:40. I should have known it when you were about to fall out of your seat. I just ignored you. Oh, if we ll just be careful not to ignore that Anointing of a flying eagle. If we ll just be careful to let our countenance reflect the heights. He said, The face of a flying eagle. How did he know? Because there was a look of victory, a look of joy, a look of soaring, a look of overcoming on his face. He didn t look like the eagle that had hatched out in the chicken yard. He looked like an eagle that knew who he was and had come to his ministry. Soaring. Truth is, you know, an eagle doesn t really have to work very hard at beating his wings because he s so beautifully designed by God that most of all he just has to spread em and catch the current of the wind. The wind will take him just about anywhere he wants to go. And blessed be the Name of the Lord. I ll tell you something else about that eagle. 53 and fly right into the sun. Amen. He s able to drop that second lens down and look right at the sun. It operates better than sunglasses. It works better than sunglasses because even with polarized sunglasses on, you can still look toward the sun and there s still a glare. But he can drop that lens down underneath the eyelid that he has, and it blocks out the ray of the sun. He can fly right into the sun. And what happens is all of his enemies that are chasing him in the heights, they look. They try to follow where he goes, and they get caught by the glare of the sun. And they all have to turn around and leave him. And he said, The eagle is pressurized. He s built like an airplane. He s able to go right up into the heights where no other bird can go. Listen, brother. God wants to bless you with that kind of... Oh, somebody said, Where do you get this idea that that s for the believer? From the Bible. Somebody said, Well, the eagle is the prophet. That s exactly right. That s what we know that it represents. It represents the prophetic. It represents a people that can hear the voice of God. That s what a prophet is. That s what the prophetic represents by the Holy Ghost. We re not talking about major prophets, minor prophets. We re not talking about that. We re talking about prophetic people. Somebody said, Where do you get that? The New Testament teaches that believers should function as prophet, priest, and king. The Word of the Lord the Bible. Wow, what a thought. 54 And, hallelujah. How do we know God wants us to be like eagles? Because He mentioned it thirty-nine times in the Scripture. They that wait... He didn t say a few selected men that are going to be chosen over the ages as major prophets and only them will experience this rest. He said, They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not be weary. Bless the Lord. They shall walk and not faint. How many of you want that Anointing the Anointing of a flying eagle who can run and not be weary, who can walk and not faint, who has the wisdom to wait on the Lord and get your hands out of the pot? You cause God a whole lot of trouble, you bossy thing you you that are anointed with that busy-body anointing where you re always trying to figure out your life and leave God out... make your plans without consulting the Lord. Oh, why don t you do what the Bible said and wait? Wait on the Lord. And that wait doesn t mean sit down and do nothing. That Hebrew word means serve the Lord with every fiber of your being, and God will reveal to you what your future plan is. He ll open up the path for you. (Tongues) Hallelujah, hallelujah. You don t have to shoot your wife... It s going to be strange. I don t know why I m saying this. I m going to tone it down. I m not going to say it like it came. I m really not. 55 you that have an ear to hear. You don t have to shoot your wife so that you can wait on the Lord. All you have to do is quit listening to her for a little while and listen to Him. You don t have to kill her so you can hear from God. All you have to do is just draw yourself away sometime in the Spirit, because wives mean to help. Amen, brother. Wives mean to help. They want to help. It s their desire to help. But sometimes they forget. And they re so full of programs and plans and ideas and solutions. If you re not careful, you can listen... And not just your wife, your pastor, your friend, your neighbor, your children, whoever, anybody. There are so many voices and so many things coming to us all the time to tell us how we ought to do, and how to do this, and how to plan that and the other. I appreciated what Sister Jan said. It s been on my mind ever since Sunday night. In her testimony, her prayer life has been revolutionized. And it should be getting a whole lot easier because you can probably do a whole lot more for God in a whole lot less time when you come to the place that you quit telling God how to work in somebody else s life and just start saying, God, they re Yours. It takes a whole lot less effort to say, God, he belongs to You, than it does to try to tell God everything you want God to do in his life like he s your servant instead of God s servant. Come on, brother, sister. This operates almost like witchcraft. It operates almost like witchcraft. 56 it on em in prayer. And that s very serious. You don t have to spend a lot of effort in that. What you need to do is just believe and pray and say, God, my hands are off. My opinions don t count. How I d like to see You do it is not relevant. But Lord, have Your way. What would be wrong with just praying, Lord, have Your way in his life. Lord, have Your way in her life. Lord, have Your way in my life. Somebody shout, Amen. Hallelujah. (Singing:) They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength... Sing it with me even though you re tired. We want to have a heart to recognize the Anointing that You desire to fill us with in this hour. I m amazed at what I have felt. I m amazed that people can see that it took the ox Anointing for the ox age, but they can t quite discern that it takes an eagle Anointing for this age. It seems so foreign for them. I don t understand why. 57 I could feel that lifting up Anointing in this service. You just lifted me up. And as I was experiencing it in the Spirit, I even... my physical flesh was responding to it. And I clearly began to even feel dizzy. It was my physical reaction to what was happening in the Spirit because You re just lifting. And Lord, I don t want to just be lifted and dropped. But we want that Anointing that ll just lift us and cause us to fly above it all like that song You gave me some years ago that we just fly above our circumstances and soar above our confusion and our pain and whatever else the enemy tries to use to defeat us. Lord, if You sent that ox Anointing and brought those people out of that terrible age, and You used the lion Anointing, and the man, the shrewdness of man, all the Anointing that poured out in those hours, Lord, let us be lifted up, hallelujah, with that prophetic Anointing that will take us right into the heavenly realms of Your Glory. Oh, for whatever we sow into the heavens is manifested and multiplied back upon the earth. Lord, if You ll just let that glory pull us from the inside, the revelation. 58 They that wait upon the Lord... Wouldn t you like for your strength to be renewed in the Lord tonight? Father, we thank You that we ve been able to stand in Your Presence tonight. We thank You for the Glory and the praise and the worship. We thank You for the Word of the Lord that s gone forth. We thank You for every receptive heart that has put forth the effort to receive Your Word. Lord, I even pray for those that are among us tonight in backslidden condition that somehow they would get a glimpse. Maybe it s not the Word that they would want. But Lord, that somehow they would get a glimpse of the life of victory, the life of an overcomer that they could have. Perhaps it would cause them to reach up, Lord, and be a little higher. Father, we just pray that Your will will be done in us, that You ll rest every tired body. Some have worked all day, and they re tired. And some have done very little, and they still come to church weary. We just need You in this hour because the enemy battles our flesh. We need You, Lord, to give us that strength that You promised. We believe that You ve got great and mighty things for us the next few nights. And that You re only setting up and gettin ready. Hallelujah. And we want to be a part of that. 60 Pastor Steven L. Shelley Senior Pastor of New Hope Revival Ministries Pastor Steven L. Shelley s life of ministry was prophesied before he was even born. His grandmother received a word that the child your daughter-in-law is carrying right now is chosen. He will carry the Gospel and many souls will be won to the kingdom of God, and he ll start at a very early age. Just like it was spoken, Pastor Shelley was filled with Holy Ghost and began preaching in 1975 at the age of seven years old and was pastoring full time by the age of seventeen. People were astounded by the revelation and conviction coming from this very young man. But it wasn t only the wisdom of the Word that touched them but the evidence of the supernatural power of God that operated in his life. His first experience with the supernatural was at the age of three when the Lord appeared in his room one night and told him things that were to come. He was told that his mother and father would separate (they divorced less than two years later) and that he would preach the Gospel and his life would not be ordinary. His life has been marked by the supernatural since that time and he has had countless visions, dreams, visitations and revelatory experiences.

61 Although his childhood was not an easy one God kept him through every hardship and gave him the grace not to be pulled into a lot of the traps that young people commonly face. As a result of that he was able to lead many of his fellow grade school students and even teachers to the Lord. His Pentecostal grandmother, Mildred Shelley, who had a great spiritual impact on him, pastored a church in Columbus Georgia and he would frequently be invited to preach for her. He also began traveling all over the United States holding tent revivals where he would preach and pray for the sick. Tremendous outstanding miracles and deliverances would take place and revivals would last for weeks on end. His grandmother passed away in 1990, leaving him in charge of the church, New Hope Prayer Center. In 1993, God opened the doors for 60 acres of land to be purchased in Smiths Station, Alabama and instructed him to name the property Eagle s Refuge Holiness Campground. By divine direction, the church in Columbus Georgia was sold in 2003 and a new building was constructed and dedicated in We are currently worshipping in this building in Alabama. Pastor Shelley has ministered in 65 countries and seen an outstanding harvest for the Kingdom in every one. There is one foreign country that he feels identified with more than any other and that is the nation of Israel. When he was 11 years old his grandmother took him on tour to

62 Israel where he met a part of his destiny. While visiting Yad Vashem he had a vision where he saw himself speaking to dry bones, as the prophet Ezekiel did and saw them come to life. At that young age he knew that he would one day return to Israel and see that vision come to pass. He didn t visit Israel again until 2002 at which time the Lord opened a door for ministry in the Land. In 2003 the Lord opened a door for our ministry to rent two apartments in Jerusalem where prophetic prayer and praise ushers daily.
