2 THE MINISTRY OF THE FOUR LIVING CREATURES (PART 2) by Pastor Steven L. Shelley Let s give the Lord a wonderful handclap of praise. Hallelujah to the Lamb. We bless You, Lord. We bless You, Lord. We bless You, Lord. Hallelujah. Reach over and get your Bibles tonight, if you will. Let s turn to the Book of the Revelation, chapter 6. It s still early, and we have time. Welcome to each and everyone on the hookup. We recognize that for many of you it s in the wee hours of the morning. And we appreciate your sacrifice to hear what the Lord is speaking tonight. Verse 1 said. And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. 1 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. (Revelation 6:1-8) Father, how we thank You tonight for the privilege of looking in to Your Word. It is not a foreign Book to us, but it is our birthright. 4 And now, Lord, it s easy to be distracted in times of study, but we pray that You will help each and every one of us to stay focused. I ask, Lord, for a special anointing. I found that the anointing that was with us in the first part of this service this morning, as it lingered in the air, it was difficult for me to stay focused on what I was trying to say. And so, Lord, I can apologize for my frailty, but I m grateful for the Presence of the Lord. Now let me get in that channel tonight so that Your Presence will only help me to bring what You would have me to bring tonight to further this study. And Lord, if it would be all right, I ask You that You would open somebody s understanding as to why these things would even be important and why they would even be worthy of our time and our attention tonight. For once we understand that, it ll cause us to want to pull out our shovels and dig to hear what the Spirit said. And Lord, we re just grateful for it. We ask all the blessings not that we deserve, oh Lord, but by Your mercy we ask them. In the wonderful Name that is above every name, the name of Yeshua, the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. And the Church said, Amen. You may be seated together tonight. I want you to look with me, if you will, to the Book of Revelation, chapter 1. 3 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 5 And I want you to understand what I m doing tonight. I brought a little study. I think I spoke about four or five services in Jerusalem. And I want you somehow to appreciate what I was doing and the position that I was in. Because I... My mother was the only one there, and perhaps Sister Nancy some, who had ever heard some of these teachings before. And sitting right on the front row was a beautiful little black-faced sister fully dressed from head to toe in black nun s habit and who I love and respect dearly. I want you to know that. With all my heart, I love her and I appreciate her. And I must say that she is like the Bible said about Joshua and Caleb. She is certainly of another spirit. I can preach whatever God gives me. And if she can t say amen, she ll just hang her head. But she won t leave me. And, oftentimes, when I was preaching on the Seals, the tears would just course down her face and drip down on her robe. And when it was all over, she asked for the tape. She wanted to hear them again. And I pray that God will use it. But I wanted to be very careful... and not knowing... and I also some ways feel the same tonight... You ll understand when I repeat things that you ve already heard, you ll just be thankful to hear it again. And, perhaps, as we go along, the Lord will give you a little something maybe you ve never heard. I don t expect to bring anything... 6 meant the most to me, I was preaching in Africa. And I took only my Bible and only the Seal Book. I didn t take any other books with me. And I read it all the way through. And God really used it in many different ways to speak to me. But I find that as I pick it up and even open it up and just look at it again... what I ve already heard, what I ve already read... yet something else. I... just before I came to the pulpit, I opened it up. I didn t say I understood it all. You didn t hear me say that, did you? But I constantly get something out of it. But I opened it up just before I came up and heard where Brother Branham was explaining how Martin Luther could say such terrible things about the Jews. He said, Now, how could he do that and yet be God s servant chosen for that hour? And you know what the explanation was? He said, He was... I ll tell you why, he said, He was a reformer and not a prophet. He came as a reformer, and he did the job of a reformer to reform the church and to birth what in history is called the Great Reformation. But he said, Had he been a prophet... This blessed me. Had he been a prophet, he would have had to bless Israel. He would have had to do it because it would have been in him. That would have been his nature, his character. He would have had to do that. 7 And the only reason why I m going back is because I want you to be reminded. God reminded me while I was in Jerusalem under that open heaven... He reminded me what this is. We ve said this before. We look right above the heading in our Bible, and it says, The Revelation of St. John the Divine. And that is an error. It s an error because what is contained in the pages of this last Book of the New Testament... it s not the Revelation of St. John the Divine, but it s the Revelation of Jesus Christ that was given to John on the Isle of Patmos. Divine or not divine, I ll leave that up to God whether he was divine or not. But you could have gotten that from the very first verse because the very first verse says this. It says, The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: (Revelation 1:1) And if we were going to speak about Church Ages... I ve been reading that, too. If we were going to speak about Church Ages, we could go back and talk about some history here. And we could talk about how John was persecuted to even get to the place where he could see. And I love that verse that goes down a little bit further. He wasn t on Patmos to have a holiday. He wasn t there on vacation. He was banished there as punishment. And he d already suffered. Some believe that by this point he had already been imprisoned and beaten. 8 interpret history to say that he had already been boiled in oil before he was banished to Patmos... others believe it happened afterward... and still lived to be an old man and was the only one of the twelve apostles that died a natural death. God was protecting this servant John, wasn t He? Can you imagine? They tried to make a human French fry out of him. And the anointing of God was so in him that it preserved him. And he wouldn t even boil in hot oil. Hallelujah. He wouldn t fry. And then they said, We can t even kill him. So we re going to put him out there where nobody has to listen to his foolishness. And he got out there on that island where perhaps some people believe and say there were wild beasts and creatures and all kinds of things uninhabited place where it was virtually impossible for anybody to survive. Historians... some historians say there was not even a source of fresh water. And if he drank water, it was salty water unless it was prepared for him by God. He was not on a holiday. And yet I love what he said in verse 10, I was in the Spirit on the Lord s day. And I said, You know what? If you could be beaten and put in prison and boiled in oil and banished on an island and still find your way to get in the Spirit, you must be God s chosen. His hand must be on you. And you know we re going to have to be like John. If John could press his way into the anointing with all that he d been through, you and I may have to press our way to get into the Spirit of the Lord as well. 7 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 9 But I want to give you a revelation about that verse. Somebody said, Well, that means if when Sunday came around, he got in the Presence of the Lord... Well, first of all, that would not have been the truth because we know that God never... Let s just get this straight. Let s just get it in our mind tonight. God never chose Sunday. He never chose it. Somebody said, Well, why do we always, and have always for years, worshipped on Sunday? We do it by church tradition. It was given to us by the church fathers most of them Catholic. And we continue to worship on Sunday. And to think of a reason for it, they said, Well, don t you know that Jesus raised up from the dead on Sunday? So we gather together on Sunday morning to commemorate that. And yet now in this hour, by revelation, we can show you in the Bible where He didn t raise from the dead early on Sunday morning. He raised from the dead early as the first day was approaching which has nothing to do with sunrise. In fact, it has more to do with sunset because in the day of the Bible, the day didn t begin when the sun was coming up. The day began when the sun was going down. And so just after the sun went down is when He got up. Somebody said, I can t imagine Jesus getting up in the night. Oh, honey, you don t understand. That was the Daystar rising. 10 And the Bible said that by the time they got there the next morning with all of these ointments and things to anoint His body, He was already gone. Oh, hallelujah. Can I digress another moment and tell you one of the sweetest things that I remember from the film? I ll just say this little sweet thing. I won t give any of the good stuff away, too good stuff. But one thing that s been in my mind... I mentioned it to my wife coming... And I don t know if this... You know, when you study these Mary s, I get a little confused. You probably don t, but I get a little confused with these Mary s. There are so many of them. First of all, none of them were called Mary. Their names were not Mary. That s a Greek name that was given to them by the Greek translators of the Bible. Her name was Miriam because no Jewish girl in the whole world was named Mary. Her name was Miriam. And there was Miriam, and then there was Miriam of Magdala that we call Mary Magdalene. And then there was that other Mary. One writer called her the other Mary. That s what he called her. And in another reference, he called her Mary, the sister. Somehow he indicated that she was a sister of the mother of the Lord. And so you, you... I just don t know who... And then we heard Brother Branham preach. And he said some things... Sometime, I can t quite get in line about those Mary s, too, because... 11 was talking about one caught in the act of adultery. We read about that in the Gospel. Then he was talking about one that her feet... that she got down at His feet and anointed His feet with this precious ointment and dried it with her hair. And in one place, he identified that it could perhaps be the same woman. So I ll just be honest, I m not sure. And so, I m not sure if this is the case at all. But I want you to know that I read even this morning... Brother Steve, I got up again, and I turned over to the Gospels. And it was talking about how Jesus went back and forth. Nobody wanted to condemn Him. He went from Pilate... well, first Annas, the Bible said, and then to Caiaphas and Caiaphas to Pilate and Pilate to Herod. Herod sent Him back to Pilate. And Pilate turned Him over to Caiaphas. And Caiaphas said, You know, according to our law we can t condemn a man to death. And you know how it went... Barabbas, and so forth. But in English it says, And they scourged Him. That s all it said. They scourged Him. Somebody said to me, What does that mean? Well, it could mean a lot of things to different people. What do you think about it? What comes to your mind? Well, we think about they whipped Him with a whip. And how many of you ve heard... 12 using? Remember? And they called it a cat-of-nine-tails, didn t they. So you know a little bit about how the pieces of flesh... But Brother Kary said, I didn t realize that those... I just thought about broken pieces of metal and twisted pieces. But he said, I didn t realize that those pieces were specifically designed as a hook to catch the flesh and pull it away. That s a thought. The English Bible just says, And they scourged Him. So the best that you and I can do is imagine it in our mind. I ll never have to do that again. I ll never have to wonder or guess what it could have been like because now I have a very vivid image in my mind of what it could have been like. And when those Roman soldiers... and let me tell you something, the way it was portrayed in this film, they enjoyed every minute of what they were doing. They weren t forced as solemn men forced to do it. They were enjoying because of the wickedness of their heart. I told them today, I didn t leave there having problems with the Jews. I left there repenting and asking God to help me not to hate the Romans because they... the Jews did what they did out of fear and out of ignorance and the fact their eyes were blinded, but these Romans did it out of a desire to conquer the world and to inflict pain on people. I can see that flesh, and I can see the blood splattering in their faces as they beat Him across the back. I never thought about that. 13 But you know what happened in the film? It s just somebody s conception of how it was, but I appreciated it. You know how Claudias, the wife of Pilate, she kept telling him, You have nothing to do with condemning that innocent man. Have nothing... the Bible talks about it... I was warned in a dream. Have nothing to do with it. In the movie, just somebody s conception was that while they were beating Him she slipped down with some white linen cloths and handed them to Miriam, His mother. This is just somebody s imagination. It might not have been that way. Handed some white cloths to Miriam, His mother. And when all had finished... They drug His body... they didn t even try to help Him get up. They just drug His body across those old stones of Jerusalem and took Him out down there. And I ve stood in those places. I ve been to Ecce Homo. I ve been there to the arch, the place, one of the very places. I ve been to the Chapel of Flagellation where they believe would have been just about in the right area where He received that whipping. I ve been to where they believe Pilate s Judgment Hall would have been. It s a... it gives you a different concept altogether. But when it was all over, I wept when little Mary, His mother... Somebody said when they saw it... some Message believer who is more holy and spiritual than I am... when he saw it he said, I just couldn t stand how they elevated Mary always focusing on Mary. 14 me that was just somebody s ignorance in interpretation because I thought about, What a mother. I don t care. I don t pray to Mary. But I ll tell you what God said about her. He said, She was highly favored among women. She was chosen of God. She is not the mother of God. She did not have an immaculate conception herself like the Catholic Church teaches. Nor did she ascend into heaven without death like the Catholic Church teaches. But she was a godly woman chosen. And you know how she made it into the Presence of God? Because she believed upon Yeshua, the Messiah, and because she received the Holy Ghost in the Upper Room. Isn t that wonderful? Hallelujah. But my heart was touched as she fell on her face when everybody went away and took those white cloths that Claudias had given her. And she mopped up His blood as it had puddled up in those stones. She mopped it up. And someone saw that, and they said... I read a review where somebody read it and they said, Oh, she was worshipping His blood. People get crazy. Worship His blood. And you know, I told my wife... I said, No, that was a mother. That was a mother who couldn t stand it. And you know, it was a little bit of... a little bit of mother s pride, too, to think the blood of her only Son at the time had spilled out there on the ground and people were walking through it and tracking it and footsteps... 15 Him away you could see their sandal prints in His blood as they walked away. It made it a living reality. And all of a sudden this Mary who was with her, perhaps Mary Magdalene or it could have been one of the other Mary s, was taking a cloth, and she started mopping up the blood. And all of a sudden it flashed back. And when it flashed back, you saw a finger writing in the sand. She was thinking about a time in her life when she was condemned to die a harlot, caught in the very act of adultery, and they brought her to Yeshua, and He just wrote in the sand. And there stood the Sanhedrin and the chief priest who saw her in that awful condition. And they were ready to stone her according to the law of Moses. And Yeshua just looked up and said, Let him who is free of sin cast the first stone. And one by one they tossed their stones and tucked their tails and walked away. And you know what Yeshua said? Neither do I condemn thee. Go and sin no more. This is love. This is love that we need to think about. And we need a concept of it sometime to think about how He loved us. Let s thank Him right now for just a moment. Lord, I thank You for Your love, Your wonderful love. Now let me say this. John knew Him as love. He knew Him as love. He knew Him as mercy. 16 John... others believe it s another John... but many believe that this same John that wrote the Book of the Revelation is the John who wrote one of the four Gospels that wears his name. And if that be the case... and I wouldn t be surprised. It could possibly be. If that be the case, we read about him as the one who kept his head on Jesus breast. That s where we receive Truth, isn t it, getting as close to God as we possibly can. John saw Him at His weakest moment. He saw Him at His strongest moment. He knew Him in the flesh and loved Him in the flesh. But I want you to read with me just a few verses here as John has been persecuted, punished, beaten, banished. But he gets in the Spirit on the Lord s Day. By the way, let me get back... which is not Sunday. The Lord s Day, the Day that the Lord had chosen for rest, was the Sabbath. We know that. From Friday evening until Saturday evening is the Sabbath. It was ordained of God. Somebody said, Then why? If we know that, why do we worship on Sunday? We do it now out of respect for those who do not know any better and do not know what we know. We have enough to teach people... I tell you... we have enough hurdles and scarecrows to get over to teach people what s been revealed to us than if we said we re never going to have another service on Sunday. And so, we do it not because we are blind or because we want to give honor to anything that s not God-ordained. But neither are we going to stand here and 15 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 17 pretend like God chose Sunday as this special day of worship. He chose the Sabbath Day. And, so, we hear that John is in the Spirit on the Lord s Day. I ve heard many Pentecostal preachers preach that he got in the Spirit on Sunday. And yet the revelation is so much deeper than that because do you know what day you live in? Do you know what hour you re living in right now? Do you know it doesn t matter how many college degrees you have? It doesn t matter how many languages you speak. It doesn t matter how great your knowledge is. If you re not able to recognize the day you re living in and the Message that was sent for that day, you re ignorant and undone without God and without salvation. It s only he who the Spirit gives an ear to hear that can recognize that this is the Lord s Day. You see, I believe that the day that John saw was my day. It was our day. I believe that in the Spirit he was caught away to the very hour that we re living in. I believe that John was able, by the Spirit, to see what God was going to begin in the earth in 1963 when He began revealing the Seals. I believe John saw that by being caught up in the Spirit to the Lord s Day. And listen at what he saw. He didn t see... Listen. He didn t see that broken, twisted, bloody body, that heap of broken humanity. He didn t even see the risen Lord, just glorified from rising from the dead. 16 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 18 Let me read to you quickly what he saw. Rev. 1:12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a girdle down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire. And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. (Revelation 1:12-18) What a proclamation Yeshua gave John on the Isle of Patmos. He d seen Him in His strength. He d seen Him in His weakness. But He d never seen Him like this. The glorified image of His Person. Do you know why He saw Him this way? Because He had now been completely glorified 17 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. All Rights Reserved Revival.org

19 in the Presence of God in the heavenly realm. Do you remember when He said, Don t touch me for I have not yet ascended to My Father. At this moment He had already gone. He had lived among the people. He had raised from the dead. He had walked the earth. He had appeared to many. And now, as He... as angels came and announced His departure... He had risen and ascended into the heavenly realms. And John saw Him there. Not in the earthly realm of Patmos. But John saw Him in the heavenly atmosphere. And look at how He looked with eyes like fire, and feet like brass, and hair like wool. I heard Brother Branham say, The wigged One, because He appeared in the form of that cloud, and it looked like a white wig was on His head. And we get that from the tradition of wisdom and justice being white. And all of the judges down through the years of European history would wear those white wigs. And even in the early colonial days of America, they powdered their wigs to set themselves apart as men. And here Yeshua appeared not with that brown hair that would have been customary for someone coming from the Middle East, but now John saw Him with hair white like wool. And he said in himself, I ve never seen Him like this before. And he fell down. Oh, my. If you re looking for Hoffman s head when you see Him in His Kingdom, you may not recognize Him. 20 know as Hoffman s head of Christ was lifted from another painting that the same artist did. And it was Christ with the rich young ruler. How many of you have seen that one? And they lifted off of Christ in the Rich Young Ruler... they lifted off the head of Christ. And when a prophet saw it, he said, That looked more like any of the other pictures than I d ever seen. That looked more like Him when I saw Him there in the broom sage field. Remember that? But I want you to know that when you see Him in the Kingdom, He s not going to look like He did in the broom sage field. And He s not going to look like He did when Christ appeared to the rich young ruler. And He s not going to look like Hoffman s head. When you see Him in the Kingdom, He s already been glorified. And you re going to see Him in the seven-fold glory of His Person we read about in the Revelation of Jesus Christ series. And you re going to see Him with eyes like fire, and feet like brass, and hair like wool, and a two-edged sword in His hand. Brother, I m going to still know Him, aren t you? Because it s been revealed to us in this day that that s how He is going to appear in His Kingdom. Why would you have mentioned that? It s going to be important a little bit later on. 21 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder... (Revelation 6:1) What was the noise? Thunder. That s significant because the thunders always denote the Voice of God speaking in the earth. There s powerful, powerful words spoken. Many, many powerful things spoken about the thunders. Let me just read one little portion to you that stood out in my spirit this afternoon. It said, Then there is coming forth seven mysterious thunders that are not even written at all. That s right. And I believe that through these seven thunders will be revealed in the last days in order to get the Bride together for rapturing faith because what we got right now, we wouldn t be able to do it. He said that right in the Seal. What we got right now, we wouldn t be able to do it. There is something that has got to step forward for we can t have enough faith for divine healing hardly. We have got to have enough faith to be changed in a moment to be swept up out of this earth, and we will find that after a while, the Lord willing, we ll find where it is written. He said it hadn t been written at all. And then he said, After a little while, the Lord willing, we ll find where it is written. It s written somewhere. It s written somewhere. Somebody said, You say that like you think you know where it s written. I think I do. That s why I said it that way. I think I do. 20 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 22 I read several places about this Seal. Let me just say this before I speak about the beast a moment. I read about this. Now first of all, we have to understand that there was no book. Remember? Greeks did this. They bound the pages. The Book was not a book at all. It was a scroll. And some people don t know about that scroll... how that scroll was. But it was a piece of parchment, perhaps parchment paper, or even it could have been... because the Sefer Torah scrolls today, the ancient ones, are written on animal skin. Oh that s, that s something to see. When I was in Jerusalem time before last, I saw one. And a non-religious Jew let me touch it. Religious Jews wouldn t have let me touch it, but the non-religious Jew offered me to be able to touch it. I touched it and felt the skin of it and how it had been written saw the letters, how it had been hand written. And so, when the man of God was teaching us a little bit about these Seals... Brother West, were you there? Were you in any of the meetings of the Seals? Do you remember which ones? You told me one time when you... First Seal and the Second Seal which would have been Monday night and Tuesday night. And so, at least one living witness in the service tonight that was there in those services in 1963 when this word was spoken that was later bound into this book. And not because this book is my Absolute. I want you to know before you miss out, this is not my Absolute. Oh, no. This right here is my Absolute God s Word. 21 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 23 I read... You don t have to clap. It s irrelevant to me what you think about that. That s just the way it is with me. I read where someone left the whole Message movement. And the reason why they left, they said... I think it s terrible to throw the baby out with the bath water, don t you? It would be dangerous to throw the baby out with the bath water. You might reject the Truth and miss it. But one of the reasons why they d become so disillusioned and so upset is they asked their mother one day... this man said he asked his mother... he said, Mother, if the Gestapo came to the door and asked you to give up one or the other, the Bible or the Spoken Word books, which would you give up? And he said his mother dropped her head and said, I can t answer that. He said, I knew right then I didn t want a part of that. I knew that it would be quiet, but I can understand how that young man would become disillusioned, wouldn t you, if somebody could come that far and say something like that? Did you know the Lord didn t send a Message for us to keep it in a book anyway. He didn t send it for us to keep it on a shelf and call it a tape either. He sent it so that it could get into our heart. I think if I was faced... I pray to God I m never faced with that decision. But I think if I was, I would have to take the prophet s quote book. 24 I don t care how nervous the devil gets. I m going to say it anyway because the only thing that can produce the life of God is the Revelation of Jesus Christ. The only thing that can help you be ready to make the rapture is the Revelation of Jesus. You ve got to get your eyes on Jesus or you ll dry up and die and blow away. Amen. This John the Baptist anointing is a precious anointing because John said, I must decrease, and He must increase. That s why God took His servant so that he could decrease and Yeshua, the Lord Jesus, could increase in our life. Amen? Amen, brother. That s exactly right. (Good place to take some water.) I know what I would want to hold onto myself. I ve heard this Message. It s sowed into my heart. But I would want the Absolute. And I believe this Word of God is the Absolute. I believe this is the Revelation that helps us to understand the Absolute. But I believe if you never had that, never come across it, never read those precious things, but you had this and you were sincere before God... here it will get quiet again... If you were sincere before God and you prayed and received the true Holy Ghost, I believe the same God that revealed the Truth to this servant would come and reveal His Truth to you. God has never set up a system in His Word where man had to come to man. It s always been that man would come directly to God always straight through to God. 25 And we thank God for every one of them. Let the church say, Amen. And do it loud enough to make the devil real good and nervous cause these things are going to be important. When God starts pulling that rapturing faith out of you, it s going to be important how you stand in these matters. Oh, yes. Some of you people would have listened to me about ten years ago when I told you the political confusion and mess that was going to come out of this stuff, you wouldn t be surprised by what they... what s going on now suing one another, going to jail, prison, and threatening one another over somebody s words. And people trying to copyright men s names and all of this garbage that s going on in the Name of Truth. Oh, it doesn t shake me at all because somehow when I got the Message, it caused me to put my roots down and grab a hold of Jesus. So no matter what Joseph does, or Brother Billy Paul, or Brother Pearry Green or any of the men that I respect, no matter what they say or what they do, I ve got an anchor that is sure and a foundation that is steadfast. And I don t have to be shaken or moved by anybody s fusses, fumes or fights. And not only that. I refuse to be pulled into that. Don t you have enough battles in your life without being pulled into somebody else s battles? Let them fight on. Let them fight on, if that s what they have to do. 26 Amen, brother. What a wonderful thing we have here. And how God began to do such a wonderful thing as He began to reveal... I found out right here a few times as I was reading through... I found out that the man of God made a clear distinction in the Seals between the difference of the symbolic form and the reality form. He kept saying that. Especially, if you want to jot it down and read it later, page 139 of the Seal Book. Bottom of the page you can hear Him say, There was a clear difference between the symbolic form of the Seal and the reality of the Seal. That s what I m saying. I m saying, There s a great difference in the loosing of the Seal, the revealing of the Seal, and the fulfillment of the Seal. If you only see the symbol, but you don t understand and hear and live to see the fulfillment, you haven t seen the whole thing. That s very, very important. Because I was reading tonight as I was sitting there waiting to come to the pulpit... I opened the book, and I read where he was explaining in what hour the Lamb was going to leave the Mercy Seat. He s going to leave it one day. And he said it will be in the hour that all of these Seals have come to their fulfillment. Not just when they ve been loosed. Not just when they ve been revealed, but when they have been fulfilled. When that which is written under those Seals comes to pass, that will bring us to the Seventh Seal the coming of the Lord. 27 down off of the Mercy Seat and come and receive His Bride. Blessed be the Name of the Lord. I m looking for that. We won t need a mediator in that day. Somebody said, I m saved. I don t need a mediator. I don t know what kind of salvation you ve got, but I still need a mediator. The New Testament said, Little children, I write unto you that you sin not. Nevertheless, if you sin, you have an advocate, a mediator, with the Father. And thanks be to God, it s not one who cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities. But we have a great High Priest who is touched with every feeling of our infirmity. Why? Because He loved you enough that He came down from the ramparts of Glory and lived in a body just like yours just like your body. He felt the pain that we feel. He felt the sadness that we feel and the disappointments that we feel. You know, I get stuck on things. But I ll never forget how the actor portrayed the look on His face when He came back and found His disciples asleep. He didn t have to say it. He didn t have to explain to them how terrible He thought it was. But when He looked at them, it was so pitiful. The look on His eye... and this is an actor doing it... but the look on His face as though He was thinking, Well, at least that inner circle. I know I ve got stragglers. You know, He knew. 28 back and find the inner circle tarrying with Him and waiting with Him. But when He got back, they were asleep also. So He knows what it means to be disappointed and to be hurt and to be rejected. The Bible said He came to His own and His own received Him not. Why did God do it that way? So that we could have a High Priest. So that we could have a mediator who knows what it s like to live in a fleshly body. Somebody said, He didn t live in He lived way back there when things were easy. You ought to have been in Jerusalem when the Romans occupied the city and call that easy. There was nothing easy about it. Took my mother down into the Upper City of Jerusalem in the Old City inside the walls and walked her down that long staircase down into the heart of the city that was beneath the city where they found a house that was burned in A.D. 70 by the Romans. And they found the ruins of it and even the ashes and even the embers of the house from A.D. 70. The beams that had burned and fell in... they found those ashes. And found the arm bone from the elbow up to the fingers of a young lady and a sword and pottery and combs and all kinds of things as life was going on in A.D. 70. I mean, somebody was living... They even found an inscription that says that it was the house of the line of a member of the priesthood of the temple, the royal line of the priesthood of the temple. 29 in the house. And they thought they were safe because they were from this royal priestly family. And one day tragedy fell upon their heads, and there they died and their bodies scattered. But the story, you know... I can t help but think about it. They showed a little film to tell you what they think might have happened. But you think of all the bodies and all the people that were killed. Why did they only find one arm bone of a young lady? And why was that arm there? And what was that lady doing that cost her her arm? Where is the rest of her body? Well, maybe you don t think like I do. But I stand there. I ve told you this story before. And after they ve played that story out in real moving detail, and it comes... the lights come on, and you start out... on another screen out near the door, they play a film of little children playing in the streets of Jerusalem. And the man says, I know it s tragic now. I know we ve lost everything. We ve lost our loved ones. The city is destroyed. But he said, I believe one day right here in this city, little children will play again in the streets. And when you leave there, you walk right through the square, right through the open area near the ruins of the Hurva Synagogue and what do you see? Little children kicking balls, playing with one another and chasing their dogs. And you walk out of there thinking, My, my. Prophecy was fulfilled when God said He would fill up the streets of Jerusalem with little children playing and... Oh, and it s been fulfilled in our day. 28 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 30 That wasn t a good time to live in either. But Yeshua came, and He suffered under the oppression of the Romans. And He fought... He knew what it meant to be hurt. And He knew what it meant to be rejected. And He fought the temptation of His flesh, yet without sin. The Bible said, In all manner tempted as we are. Is that what the Bible said? Somebody say, All manner. All manner. In all manner tempted as we are, yet without sin. You ve never faced a temptation that Yeshua did not face. Some portion, some root of that temptation, He fought it. He faced it. It came there to torment Him. And yet the Bible said He faced it all, what? Without sin. So that He could help you and I to overcome and come to the place where we live, what? Without sin. Anybody listening to what I m showing you tonight? I m so glad He came that way. And so we read about the difference in the symbol and the reality form. Now, concerning quickly this Book which is really a scroll. I m not going to cause you to... force you to believe what I believe. You don t have to. And neither do I... Can I take the time right now to give you the quotes and the pieces and keys why I really believe this is right? But the Bible says when it describes this scroll... It says in chapter 5, verse 1... 31 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. (Revelation 5:1) Did you notice that? Written within and on the backside sealed with seven seals. Now the first thing we think about when we get that in our mind... if we can get past a book and get to a scroll... if you can see a scroll... you ll think about a scroll. And on that scroll, he said it would be like in your mind you would picture seven straps around that scroll with a seal on it. Now isn t that what you d think? A book sealed with seven seals. We know it wasn t a book. Somebody said, Why did the Bible say it? Because the Bible was translated from Greeks. But there was no such thing. They weren t using books in that day among religious people. God wasn t going to pick up the techniques of the modern Romans and Grecians. He was using it as He had given the scrolls. If you ll go back to... if you get beyond the book and you see a scroll, you might see that scroll sealed with seven straps or seven seals on it. I showed that one time some years ago when I taught on the Seals. 32 That s kind of what you d have in your mind. But that doesn t quit fit how he said it opened up. That s how he said it was. But that doesn t quite fit how he said it opened up. He said, When it opened up, he said, one seal was loosed, and the page, the scroll was pulled off. And laying inside was another scroll, another page. And when that Seal was loosed, it was pulled off. And laying in that was another scroll with a seal. And yet he said it was as though a scroll had been sealed with seven straps. And yet as you open up one of those Seals, it would seem to me like before you could ever get to the first inside scroll, you d have to open up all seven. And then as you opened up all seven, what would you find when you pulled that first page away? What would you find? Another one that looked exactly like the one you had just... with one Seal on it. You d open that Seal and take it open. Do you see that there is some kind of compound meaning there? And you don t have to believe what I think about it. But what I think about it is... I believe in my study of the Message and through the Scripture, I ll tell you what I believe. I believe that we have a scroll that was sealed with seven seals on the outside. And when you open those seven seals to get into the inside of the scroll, I believe what you would have found is more scrolls and each one of those scrolls having another seal. 33 to the best of my understanding how he described it. Somebody said, How in the world does that fit what has happened? Well, here is where we are. When a lot of people read Revelation, chapter 6, and they read about this white horse rider, they say, It s finished. It s done. It s already happened. And when other people read it they say, Wait a minute. I don t believe that that spirit has gone forth yet in its full measure conquering and to conquer. And, so, how could it be? How could it be that some believe it s finished and others believe that it s not finished the same book? I don t know how you would see it, but I see it as the Seals were loosed so that you could get into what was on the inside. The Scripture says that this Book was sealed on the... How did it say? Sealed with seven seals written within and on the backside. What did the prophet say about those thunders? He said, they d never been written. But he said, Very shortly now, perhaps, we ll find where they re written. There s a whole lot in that scroll. This symbolism is great. And I can look around... I see different ones of you kind of dozing. You re tired. You don t get enough sleep and not so interested, and so forth. And I m not offended. I m not offended. 34 more than I ve ever believed in my life, that s the day we re living in. I believe we re living right in the middle of this. I believe that God s people have come right to the middle of this hour. Somebody said, Well, it don t really affect me. Do you know what? You re probably right. It may not be affecting you very much. But if we re where I think we are... if we re where I think we are, we may see great effects of these things any day now. It s according to what you believe. If you believe that this white horse rider has gone forth and it s all over and it will never happen again, then it s all right. All we have to do is wait for our great escape. But if you believe what I believe the Bible says, you ll understand that dark terrible times are ahead for this world. And you who ve got the idea that the Bride is going to be snuck out of here in the middle of the night, and she s never going to have any kind of trouble, trials or persecution, what book do you read? Somebody said, Don t you believe the rapture is going to come and help catch the Bride away before great tribulation? Yes, I do believe that the Bride will be protected... watch my words... protected from great tribulation. I believe that with all of my heart. I don t believe that God is going to deal with you for something you have not done. He s going to protect you. He s going to hide you somewhere until that wrath is passed over. Aren t you glad? 35 that hour when there is going to be great, great hardship upon the earth. Do you realize that we re living more in this kind of a day than we ve ever lived in before? Somebody said, What about World War II or World War I? Well, the Bible prophesied there is going to be how many woes? How many great woes? W-o-e? How many great woes did the Bible prophesy we re going to unfold for the understanding of the Endtime? Three great woes. The world has not seen the last world war. Oh, no. Where in the world do you get that? Ezekiel 38 and 39 tells us that there s yet another war that is going to shake the world when the armies of Gog and Magog descend from the North. And you know, we heard a man of God say, They re going to come down (one place he said) after that oil. And another place he said, The treasures of the Dead Sea have never yet been discovered. We like... I like the treasures I ve already found in the Dead Sea. I can stay just a few minutes in that water and feel so rested and refreshed and relaxed. 36 get in the mud. They ve got mud places where people come and paint theirselves all over with mud because of all of its healing properties. And yet I heard a servant of the Lord say that the riches of the Dead Sea have not yet been discovered. He said, Somewhere under there, there is something there. In fact, he said, The richest treasures of the world are hidden there in the Dead Sea. There is something in that area... there must be something in that area that s really going to be valuable. And he said, The armies of the North are going to come down after that. Some said they believed it was oil. Other said perhaps uranium. Uranium is very important in nuclear warfare. I don t know what all, or at least the base elements for uranium, may be there. I don t know what s there. But I know that God has a strategic plan to get all the armies of the world gathered down into one geographic area. He s going to get them all gathered there at one time in one place. And my, what a battle they re going to have. You read your Bible lately? My, what a battle they re going to have... in the Bible, it says... And do you know what it says about that battle? It says, The blood is going to run up to the horse s bridle. Somebody said, I thought that was just symbolic. Isn t that funny?
